Chapter 4 The Taoist descends the mountain (middle)
"If you don't sell it, don't sell it. Isn't it just a broken watch? Fatty, I have other ways..."
The fat man knew Fang Yi’s feelings for the old Taoist, so he didn’t mention this matter anymore. Instead, he said, “Put it out, let’s go down the mountain today, live in my house for one day, and then go to Jinling City tomorrow to see if you can find anything to do…”
"Okay, wait for me for a while, I'll gather the things I'm going to take down the mountain..."
Fang Yi thought for a while and nodded and agreed. In fact, the fat man's previous move of pulling his hand behind him did not escape Fang Yi's eyes, but he was also a young man's character, thinking that it would be a few days short of nothing, and nothing would go wrong.
"Then hurry up. Sanpao is still waiting for us at the foot of the mountain. He said he would go back to the reservoir to fry some fish. We have fish soup to drink at night..." The Sanpao mentioned by Fatty was also the friends they had grown up together since childhood. In the past, they had been eating and drinking with Fatty in Taoist temples.
Because Sanpao's family is in the stone business, they often have to set off firecrackers and become the third one, so they were nicknamed.
However, the nickname did not wrongly accuse Sanpao. This kid is also a master who dares to put out the tiles without fighting for three days. When he was eight or nine years old, he dared to steal the gunpowder fuse from the house and use beer bottles to make a ** to fry fish. Because of this, the river guards in the reservoir have been asking for trouble for Sanpao's family.
"Sanpao is back too? This kid has been leaving for several years..."
Hearing the fat man's words, Fang Yi's face showed a hint of joy. The three of them grew up to fifteen or sixteen years old together with their butts. However, Sanpao and Fat Man went to join the army, and there was no letter on the mountain. Therefore, Fang Yi has not had any news about Sanpao in recent years.
"Hmph, that kid wants to get married, and then he retired from the army. A terrible guy..."
The fat man snorted coldly with disdain, and he had always been upset about Sanpao's voluntary request for retirement. You know, after the fat man ate the chicken from the political commissar of the League, led by the company instructor, he carried several old hens to the political commissar of the League to apologize, but he failed to ask for forgiveness. The retired army was really a bit disgraceful.
"Marry a wife?" Fang Yi bowed in front of his chest with one hand, shook his head and said, "Master said that women are tigers and can absorb the masculinity of men. Why did Sanpao marry a wife so early?"
"Is there such a saying?" The fat man was stunned when he heard this. He was still very afraid of the old Taoist priest who was talking nonsense. If this was really said from the old Taoist, it would be a bit credible.
"Yes, but my master once taught me that the art in my room can be practiced both men and women..."
Fang Yi nodded seriously. He grew up in the mountains without any dust and worldly aura, and his mind was very pure, so he said this very natural and did not look embarrassed at all.
"Hey, Brother Yi, my dear brother, you...you should pass this double cultivation technique to me..." Hearing Fang Yi's words, the fat man was so excited that he trembled with fat flesh. Not to mention calling him brother, he would not hesitate if he even had a biological brother for his father and asked the fat man to call Uncle Fang Yi.
Before the age of fifteen, Fatty was as pure as Fang Yi now, but in the army, it was the first time in his life that Fatty had seen an island primary school movie, and the desire in his heart was like a flame to rush upwards.
However, the army's management was relatively strict. It was not until half a year ago when the fat man went out to work with the village construction team that he finally found the opportunity. On a dark and windy night, he sneaked into a small hair salon with dim lights like a thief, ending his career as a boy.
So at this moment, when Fang Yi said that men and women were harmful to their bodies, the fat man naturally cared very much. In addition, there was a feudal superstition in the countryside, the fat man suddenly became nervous.
"Okay, I'll pass on you and the three cannons..." The two-cultivation method was just some luck technique that guides the qi and locks the yang. Fang Yi didn't care. Anyway, the old Taoist priest didn't say that this thing could not be passed on to others.
"Let's go back and go down the mountain, I'll pack up my things first..." Seeing the fat man's easy-to-study look, Fang Yi couldn't help but curl his lips. When the master was teaching him to read and read, he had never seen the fat man so energetic.
"Okay, okay, Brother Yi, don't forget..." Thinking that his sexual blessings for the rest of his life were on Fang Yi, the fat man smiled extremely flatteringly, and Fang Yi almost kicked him out with a kick.
Without paying attention to the fat man, Fang Yi walked straight into the wing room on the right side of the yard. This room has always been lived by an old Taoist priest. Although the old Taoist has passed away for three years, Fang Yi did not move in. Instead, he cleaned it every day and cleaned the house spotlessly.
"The master's self-portrait is to be taken away..."
After Fang Yi entered the house, he first bowed to a painting hanging on the wall. It was a portrait. There was only an old man with hair tied up on it. He looked kind and his eyes were very vivid, as if he could see Fang Yi's heart at a glance.
"Master, there is no food in the mountains. I am going to go out of the mountain. Please protect me..." Fang Yi muttered, while taking the painting off the wall and rolling it up, and then stuffing it into a bamboo slip.
With Fang Yi's foot strength, it took half a day to walk from the Taoist temple to the foot of the mountain, so there was only three days left to go out, so Fang Yi was too lazy to go back and forth again. In his opinion, this was not contrary to the teacher's training. In addition, the old Taoist priest's words were true and false, so Fang Yi didn't know if he had deceived him this time.
"Of course I have to carry this wine gourd..." Fang Yi took a wooden box that the master often carried, put the bamboo slips in it, and then put the wine gourd that he had just used.
It’s not that Fang Yi can’t bear to let go of the wine in the gourd, but that the gourd itself is very memorable.
Because since Fang Yi can remember, the wine gourd has been inseparable from the master. The gourd that should have been yellow has been rubbed by the old Taoist priest and turned into dark brown. The sunlight outside the house shines on the gourd, revealing a faint ray of light.
"You must also bring these strings of flowing beads. Master once said, "If you are calm, you will hide your spirit, and if you are restless, you will die." These magical instruments can be used when practicing..."
After putting away the gourd, Fang Yi looked at the strings of beads hanging on the head of the master's bed. These beads were twelve bracelets, eighteen handhelds, eighty-one and one hundred and eight beads, all of which were thick patinas. After the death of the old Taoist priest, Fang Yi often played with them, so the color was very bright and looked like he had a hint of spiritual energy.
People in the world think that bracelets or rosary are both born in Buddhism. In fact, this is not the case. Taoist practice also uses rosary, but Taoism usually calls it flowing beads.
The relationship between the two gates of Buddhism and Taoism now truly corresponds to the proverb that "The Buddha said all the good things in the world, and many monks in the world are prevalent."
But is this true? In fact, on the contrary, as an external religion, many things in Buddhism have taken over the past from Taoism, just like the rosary used for practice, which was not created by Buddhism. There was no record of rosary in the rules made by the Buddha's era, but there were many rosary in early Taoist scriptures.
According to the "Shangqing Collection" by Bai Yuchan, Master Ge Xiangong "when he first refined the alchemy, he often held the rosary beads in his hand, sat by the elixir furnace every day, and often recited the Jade Emperor's entire name ten thousand times." This opened the precedent for Taoism's method of chanting the holy name.
The twelve Taoist beads represent the twelve thunder gates, the twenty-four represent the twenty-four qi, the twenty-eight represent the twenty-eight constellations, the thirty-two represent the thirty-two Gods in Heaven, the thirty-six lessons represent the number of evil spirits in Tiangang, the eighty-one represent the eighty-one transformation of Laojun, and also the pure yang energy of nine nine.
The 108 Taoist beads represent the thirty-six Heavenly Gangs and Seventy-two Earthly Demons. However, the old Taoist priest especially likes the 81 Taoist beads. Among the Taoist beads he left for Fang Yi, there were three strings of eighty-one, and the rest were only one string.
Fang Yi understood the master's intention in his heart, because the master taught the martial arts was related to these 81 Taoist beads.
"Dao Dharma Assembly Yuan Volume 177·Elemental Yuanhui Mansion Jade Book" says: "Whenever you are out of the spirit, you should first refine qi and be calm. Since the qi is stationary, you should be the spirit. If you sit on the side, use the gizzard to tie the shoe context, four movements are used as one breath, hold a bead, and pinch a bead for each breath, and measure the normal entry and exit of people. Gradually, don't work hard, and it may be inconvenient."
Chen Niwan Zhenren also said in "Cuixu Yin": "Put nine out of eighty times, swallow one of them, gather the qi and return to the navel to make the fetal breath; hold the rosary beads in your hand to breathe."
Ordinary people only think that these two passages are just Taoist sutras, but this is a real Taoist practice method. When Fang Yi was blessed with meditation and practice for more than ten years, he was twisting a string of Taoist beads in his hand. The Taoist beads left by his master have become somewhat restrained until now.
She wore a string of beads on each wrist, took another string of eighty-one pieces and hung them around her neck. Fang Yi put the beads in a cloth bag and put them in a box, and his eyes looked at a copper compass placed on the table.
Most of the things passed down by Master Fang Yi were objects that had been blessed by the old Taoist priest for decades. Originally ordinary things had been blessed by the Taoist priest for so many years, and they had become magical tools. According to the old Taoist priest, during the years when he was a Feng Shui master, this compass was his foodie.
"Master, now in the world, there is no ritual to do, so I'll leave this thing..."
Fang Yi muttered, took the compass in his hand, squatted down and pried up a square brick, and a small hole appeared under the square brick. Fang Yi put the compass in. Although he did not take it away, it was always an object passed down by the master and could not be taken away by others for nothing.
"Oh, I can't even fill a box..."
After putting the compass in hand, Fang Yi glanced at the wooden box, but it was not even half full. He couldn't help but smile bitterly. The master was so generous that except for leaving a self-portrait for himself, the rest were all broken wood beads.
He looked at the master's room with some nostalgia. Fang Yi walked out with the box, but he did not return to the yard, but turned into the room on the left. He had just packed up his belongings, and now what Fang Yi wants to take is his own thing.
"Let's keep these things here..."
After entering his room, Fang Yi took out a small box from under the bed. Looking at the many objects such as small pistols and small horses carved out of wood, his eyes became softer. These things were carved by his master and accompanied Fang Yi's entire childhood.
"Hey? I said, you still keep these things?"
The fat man who rushed into the room couldn't help but scream when he saw the things in the small box. You know, Fang Yi was holding the small wooden gun and changing a lot of snacks from him when he was a child. However, the fat man was not very good at playing with him. Most of the time he played for a few days, he returned it to Fang Yi.
"Huh, what is this? Why haven't I seen it before?"
The fat man stretched out his hand and flipped around the box. Suddenly, he found a small pendant tied with a rope. When he was about to pick it up, Fang Yi snatched it and said angrily: "Don't flip around, you have too many things you have never seen before..."
Feeling the temperature of the bone pendant in his palm, Fang Yi's face was a little different from what he had just happened. A look of unspeakable flashed in his eyes, because this pendant was of great significance to him, and it was also the only object on his body when the old Taoist priest picked up Fang Yi.
