191 Birthday Reception

"This may be my last birthday party, and I hope you can attend."

Thanks to Tony's invitation, Eric finally put down his Sky Palace design and came to Playboy's home.

As soon as I entered his game room, the warm and noisy music came to my face.

"Welcome to my birthday party, Eric." Tony was also wearing a steel suit at home today. He turned the lights in the room to the darkest and put himself in the center of everyone's sight. Now, when he saw Eric entering the door from afar, he immediately held the microphone and pointed at the visitor and shouted loudly to the crowd below. "This is my friend, superhero---------Shin Magneto!"

The crowd immediately screamed. Although Eric has always been low-key, he has saved more people in this city than Tony. He does not need to interpret himself in a gorgeous style and can still gain many supporters here.

After hugging and taking a photo with the lively and enthusiastic girls, Eric finally came to the corner of the room with Pepper's help, watching Tony play crazy with his crazily through a translucent Japanese screen.

"Look at him, he's crazy. He can't control himself at all. I thought he was drunk or used some inappropriate drugs at first, but I didn't expect this to be like this during this period." Pepper turned around and stared at Tony who was playing with DJ, waving his arms hard to vent his resentment.

"Or I've never really known him. Maybe for an ordinary girl from the countryside, the world of metropolitan billionaires is still too far away." Pepper's tone was full of grievance.

"I think he just wants to vent his pressure." Eric replied casually, shaking his glass.

"What pressure can't be said and taken together?" Pepper immediately retorted.

"That's how the pressure that cannot be solved is." Eric said in an extremely low voice, continuing to taste the cold liquid.

"What's wrong with you two? They are mysterious and mysterious. Last time Tony said nothing, he refused to tell me the truth. Today you must answer me, otherwise I will never believe you." Pepper shook his head fiercely, his golden hair emitted a soft light under the dim light, and the pearl necklace on his chest also swayed with the twisting of her body. When she finally stopped and grabbed Eric's hand and asked him to give an explanation, her breathing became a little rapid.

"Actually, this problem is very obvious. With your wisdom, you cannot guess. You dare not face it, so you have to use my mouth to say it?" Eric looked at Pepper quietly. Miss Potts tightened his hands holding his arms, and then let it go weakly.

Pepper is not a fool, Tony chooses a successor, and his behavior is so abnormal. She can see what his behavior means by arranging funerals. With Eric's hint, she has long had terrible suspicion, but Tony has been avoiding it, and she dare not face it. Today, she is finally about to come into contact with that terrible reality.

For a moment, she became panicked, her face was as pale as blood loss, her blood pressure dropped sharply, and her body was cold, and her body, which had been applied to the antiperspirant, could not stop a lot of sweat from secreting.

Eric could feel the tide in her palm.

"Men's psychology is different from women. The more they care about people, the less they want them to worry. You think we have no pressure, but in fact we just don't want you to discover it." He said slowly, and words floated into Pepper's ears.

Pepper mechanically took the Martini handed over by Eric. After drinking it all, she coughed violently. She was so nervous that this quiet elixir was difficult to accept.

"You?" Pepper asked subconsciously, her legs were a little weak now. She didn't know how to face Tony, so she could only use the opportunity to talk to Eric to adjust her mood.

"Of course, you won't think I'm really made of steel, right?" Eric smiled. He withdrew his hand that patted Pepper's vest and raised his glass to Tony from a distance through the screen.

"Now everyone in New York knows that I am a superhero and the leader of my fellow countrymen. I want to fight for them, but I'm afraid no one knows that I don't like to take too much responsibility. I am used to fighting for myself and willing to protect the people around me, but I am not the kind of saint who will do anything for my fellow countrymen, and I have never been."

"What kind of person are you?" Pepper looked at Tony and then at the man next to him.

"Actually, I am a very selfish person." Eric replied slowly as he looked at the dim lights. "My world revolves around me, outside of me, my closest relatives, parents, children, wives, etc. I don't need any reason to love them in my own way; then my best friends, including my students, shared experiences and mutual understanding have given them an important place in my heart, but this level is slightly lower than the previous one."

"The next thing is the other people I know and like, and so on. By the time I call my fellow countrymen, they are just symbols to me. If I don't even know them, I will sympathize with their experiences and develop sympathy from the bottom of my heart. But this feeling is not so much about their destiny, but I don't plan to give up everything for them."

"Your compatriots will be disappointed when they hear it. They regard you as a savior. Although most of us do this, few people have the courage to speak so clearly and directly like you." Pepper shook his head and sighed. She finally recovered. Now she didn't have to hand Eric her drink to suppress her fear, so she picked up a glass of whiskey herself.

"No, they won't." Eric said calmly. "I don't plan to motivate them and send young people to the battlefield afterwards. I hope they will survive and become the trend of the world. In this process, everyone will explain the world according to their needs. They will find various reasons for my words until my original intention is explained more in line with their position."

"Sounds like an egoist." Alcohol soothes nerves, tension and troubles are as hazy as a layer of fog. Pepper stares at Tony who shoots the wine bottle with his palm cannon outside for a while. She raises her legs and reveals the graceful and clear lines of her legs.

"In fact, I'm that kind of person," Erick admitted frankly. "So when I was on guard against those bad guys who were provoking conspiracy and had to arrange life for these strangers, I was under great pressure because I never had the so-called divine sense of mission to help me ignore difficulties. I just wanted to change their destiny and avoid one day I would fall into such a quagmire myself-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"How did you do it? I'm very distressed to teach me." Pepper came over and asked, her cheeks were a little red, and her breath was filled with a fragrant smell of alcohol.

"You really want to know?" Eric looked at her deeply, and a crystal light reflected in his bright eyes.

"No, I don't want to..."

Pepper wanted to say that, but her throat seemed to be hoarse, and her body was soft and weak.

After a moment of confusion, her man was already held in Eric's arms and kissed her gently.

"Don't do this, Eric." Pepper said gasping and soon fell into Eric's hands again.

This series of kisses made Pepper relax, and at the same time she felt guilty, as if she had betrayed poor Tony. This was a remote corner, and a thin screen separated the cheers that were rising and rising like a tide outside. She was afraid that she would not be able to help but devote herself to it.

Eric ignored her and continued to lower his head until he kissed her until his face was hot and his ears were hot.

"Are you better now?" Eric asked softly.

Pepper's eyes were confused and uneasy, but fortunately, the situation outside had changed a lot. Tony's friend Roddy put on a spare steel suit and broke in angrily to make a fuss with his unscrupulous friends. The cheering people fled around, but no one happened to find out about them.

He helped Pepper, who was vaguely conscious, to the lounge, and when he entered the game room, Tony and Roddy were fighting until the last moment, the palm cannons collided with each other and emitted a huge shock wave, shattering all the glass inside and outside the room.

The energy fluctuations automatically separated in front of Eric. Now it was empty, leaving only the faint light from the ceiling.

Roddy got up from the ground, glanced at Eric, and said nothing. Under his control, two flames spewed out from the soles of the war machine, carrying him through the big hole on the roof toward the night sky.

Tony lay motionless on the ground. In fact, he was not seriously injured. The steel suit protected his body well, but he just didn't have the strength. When he saw Eric coming over, his eyes were not fluctuating, and he was as tired as someone who was about to take his last breath.

"Are you satisfied with such a birthday party?" Eric asked looking down at him.

"You don't understand, Eric."

Tony was silent for a while before half-sitting up: "When you look down on all living beings in heaven, this is just a talent you are born with. You can feel plain, but I can't do it. Power, freedom, unrestrainedness, I can't let go of this feeling. Everything is great, only in this way can I feel that I am still alive."

He sighed deeply, then his chest tightened and half of his body sat up. In his shocked gaze, the fine shrapnel that had accumulated near the heart that even the most wise cardiac surgeon could not completely remove had melted, turning into waves of metal mist that escaped through the muscles and skin on his chest.

"I can understand your feelings. It's because of this reason that I came to this world." The metal mist turned into a smooth round bead and floated up. Eric stared at it and said faintly, his eyes were a little dim. To him, Tony looked like a mirror, from which he reflected another self.

"Thank you." Although he didn't understand what he was saying, Tony still expressed his gratitude. It was also a good thing to be able to escape these annoying metal pieces before his death.

Then he heard Eric's proposal.

"Tell me now whether you still risk your life to be your Iron Man -- if I give you the chance to choose from scratch."

Tony was stunned for a moment and raised his head. The eyes on it were as cool as water. (To be continued, please search for Piaotianwen, the novel is better and faster!
