Chapter of the Judge (1)
2219, May 1, The Hague, Netherlands.
This place is called the "Capital of Justice" of the Federation.
The city of The Hague has the best law school, the best police academy, the largest prison (here refers to the public prison known to the public, and the Nine Prisons are not included)... There is also the most famous and highest-level court - the Federal Hague Court.
Although everyone knows that Crystal County is the core of the federal government's power, when it comes to justice, the first thing that comes to mind is The Hague.
There is no doubt that the city's public security is also very good, at least it is comparable to Crystal County; you think... Putting aside the on-the-job judicial personnel, there are about one or two out of every ten civilians on the street who are school police or law school students. These young people all know the law and have a strong spirit, and they all hope to do some results in their students' time to add a touch to their resume.
In this environment, do you still dare to grab bags on the street? Do you dare to pickpocket on the bus? I guess the victim doesn’t have to shout it yourself, and you will be taken away by three or five "enthusiasts" with sharp eyes and then sent to the police station directly.
However, at noon on May 1st, there was a man who broke the tranquility and peace here.
His name is James Lance.
At twelve o'clock noon, Lance came to the steps in front of the main gate of the Federal Hague Court.
At first, the guards standing guard at the door did not pay much attention to him, because there were many pedestrians coming and going here, and the cultural atmosphere in Europe was quite strong, so it was not surprising that there was a passerby holding a piano box in his hand.
However, when Lance took out a rocket launcher from the piano box in broad daylight, in the bright world, the situation instantly got out of control...
At 12:03, amid the screams of the crowd around, a rocket bounced into the air and flew roaring towards the statue of Justitiya (the Libra in the left hand and the Goddess of Justice in the right hand) above the roof of the main entrance of the Hague Court.
After a loud bang, the statue, which was more than five meters high, shattered and turned into pieces of gravel and collapsed.
Since Lance had caused a considerable commotion before launch, the crowds in this area dispersed in advance, so the stones did not cause casualties when they fell, but only damaged the stone steps at the entrance of the court.
After the dust settled, Lance put down the bazooka and stood there with a smile, as if waiting for something.
"Don't move! Raise your hands! no!" As expected, after a not-so-long reaction time, two guards at the court door took the lead in drawing out their guns and rushed up, and were still shouting the lines that everyone had heard badly in the movie.
Following them are five or six professional police officers who also carry live ammunition. This court hears a lot of cases every day, and basically there are police officers entering and leaving at all times.
More than ten seconds later, just as the dozen or so people formed a formation to surround Lance, several more bailiffs ran out of the court...
To put it short, when Lance raised his hands very calmly and was about to "kneel down slowly" as the police instructions, four or five law enforcement officers near him could not wait to rush up, pressed him to the ground, and handcuffed him.
After a breath, a police officer pulled Lance's collar and dragged him from the ground, while reading to him his rights, namely, the well-known saying "You have the right to remain silent, but everything you say will become a confession."
When Lance heard this, he just smiled and didn't say anything.
Soon, he was taken into a police car and drove directly to the nearest police station.
