Chapter 116 Quotations Assessment (2)
"Mencius: Gaozi II"
The beginning is about six ancient sages, Emperor Shun, the famous prime minister of the Shang and Shang dynasties, Jiaoge, the minister of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, Guan Zhong, the prime minister of Qi, and Sun Shuao, the prime minister of Chu in the Spring and Autumn Period. Baili Xi, who was granted the national affairs by Duke Mu of Qin, and was called the "Five Doctors".
No matter which of these six people is, they are full of twists and turns in their lives, and their lives are ups and downs.
Meng Sheng's "Mencius: Gaozi II" starts with these six sages and tells the world that life is full of hardships and twists and turns.
Then he said, "Therefore, when God is about to give a great responsibility to this man, he must first suffer his mind and mind, exhaust his muscles and bones, starve his body, and be empty and useless. He will do what he does, so he will be moved and endure his nature, and he will be unable to do so..."
It is revealed that if you want to become these six sages and put the important task on you, you must first make your mind distressed, tired, hungry, empty and weak, and make every action unsatisfactory.
Only in this way can you succeed by inspiring your mind, making your temperament and will stronger, and increasing the abilities you do not have.
This is the most inspirational passage. Those who understand can endure and endure torture and will eventually achieve something.
Li Bai wrote this paragraph in writing, the author Mencius, from "Mencius: Gaozi II"
There are two questions left.
Question 3: There must be a master of words, there must be a method of actions, and there must be a method of relatives. Although it is easy to explain the meaning, it will be difficult for many people to know their true origin.
Coincidentally, Li Bai was reading a book a few days ago and was reading "The Book of the Great Dai Li: Zeng Zi Li Shi"
This is what Zeng Zi said, meaning that people should speak with reason, behave in a well-organized manner and in a standard way, and be close to others must be reasonable.
This happened to be seen by Li Bai, otherwise Li Bai would not be able to answer this question. After all, there are so many quotations from sages, and not everything can be remembered clearly.
Write down the meaning and the source of the third question, and Li Bai looked at the fourth question.
Question 4, this is a bit difficult.
The difficulty is not understanding the meaning of this subject, it is rare to describe Kong Sheng doing something wrong in the right way.
We must not criticize the sages in words, nor can we directly say that the sages have done something wrong.
After all, in Kings 6, everyone should treat these ancient sages with the most respectful attitude.
The Confucian scholars even regarded these sages as their admiration, and were very afraid of them, and did not allow anyone to discredit these sages.
Therefore, the fourth question is easy to explain, but it is difficult to express its meaning.
Others didn't think so much, so they wrote down Confucius to judge people by his appearance, but unexpectedly they lost the material that could be made of Ziyu.
This story was born in the Spring and Autumn Period. Confucius had many students, one of whom was named Ziyu.
Because Ziyu is ugly, he is not favored by Confucius and neglects Ziyu.
There is a student named Zai Yu who is good at speaking, looks handsome, and is deeply loved by Confucius, and he is very kind to teach him.
Zai Yu often said in front of Confucius that Ziyu was not good.
This led to Confucius' dislike Ziyu the more he looked at him. Ziyu had no choice but to drop out of school and go home to study his own knowledge.
Ziyu is a person who loves learning and likes to think independently. After leaving Confucius, he studied hard and worked hard to improve himself, and became a very famous scholar.
Many young people came to his school to study, and his reputation spread among the princes.
Although Zai Yu, who was following Confucius, was able to speak wisely and became a high-ranking official in Qi, he was eventually killed by the King of Qi because he was lazy and rebelled with others.
Seeing that the two students had different destinies and futures, Confucius was very moved and said to people: "I judge people by their appearance, but I lost my son Yu."
After hearing Zaiyu's death, he also sighed and said to others: "With words, you will lose Zaiyu."
From these two passages, Confucius told the world that one cannot judge whether a person’s future will have a future based on his words.
You can't tell that a person has no future in this life based on his appearance.
Li Bai pondered how to answer this question.
After thinking for a while, I finally answered with the quotations of the sages.
There is a passage in "Left Turn: The Second Year of Xuangong": "No one has any mistakes, but if one fails, it is impossible to make mistakes."
Everyone has faults, and as long as they can correct them, there is nothing better than this.
But Li Bai wrote down...
"What Confucius said to the world means: Confucius judged people by his appearance and lost Ziyu, a diligent and studious student."
"No one can do without mistakes, but knowing mistakes will make it better."
Li Bai specially changed the words of Zhao Dun and Shi Ji entered the palace to persuade Duke Ling of Jin in "Turn Left: The Second Year of Xuan Gong", which also pointed out that although Confucius was wrong, it was the best thing to have already made corrections.
All the answers were written, and Li Bai carefully checked them again.
Only after confirming that all the answers were correct was Li Bai put down his brush.
At this time, the sunset had set, and the red glow in the sky made the whole sky red.
Li Bai exhaled a breath of turbid air, and the government trial was over, and the next step was to wait for the May results to be released.
Several major examiners in the examination room, watching the passing of time gradually pass, Bai Xueshuo said: "Students, the time for the exam is up."
"Now, everyone check their test numbers, make sure that the test numbers are correct, then put down the paper and pen, and wait for the servants to come forward to collect the papers."
"Confirm that the handwriting of the test paper has dried. During the period of collection, no one is allowed to move around or whisper, until the test paper is completed before leaving the venue in an orderly manner."
All students stopped writing.
Some people are still thinking about couplets secretly, while others are thinking about whether the sage quotes written in their handwriting are right or wrong.
All in all, everyone on the scene had different ideas.
Soon the test papers were all put away, and with Bai Xue's order, everyone began to leave in an orderly manner.
When leaving the venue, You Rihui felt like he had lost his soul, looking weak and listless.
Li Bai didn't have to leave the examination room, but was directly brought forward by the patrol guards. One person on each side, grabbed Li Bai's arm and flew out of the examination room.
As soon as he left the exam room, Wang Chao and Ma Han came forward to stop Cheng Yaoguang.
Cheng Yaoguang looked at Wang Chao and Ma Han coldly and said in a deep voice: "Who is stopping the patrol guards from handling the case?"
"dynasty."
"Mahan."
"Bold, just barbarians dare to stop the patrol guards from arresting criminals in colluding with demons?"
"Who did you say collude with the demon seed?" Wang Chao looked at Cheng Yaoguang coldly.
Cheng Yaoguang is also very strong, he is already a person in the half-step dragon realm.
I have to say that the patrol guards sent by the court are really good!
But it's normal to think about it. After all, the governor represents His Majesty and comes out to inspect the world.
If you don’t have some strength, how can you ensure the safety of the governor? How can you conquer the local area?
