Chapter 16(2/2)

Ding Xiaowei sat tiredly on the sofa and began to dial his cell phone over and over again.

When Lingling got up, he remembered that he had forgotten to make breakfast for her.

When he got up to cook noodles, Lingling surrounded him and asked where her Uncle Zhou was.

Ding Xiaowei had no choice but to lie to him that Uncle Zhou had something to go out.

The little girl flattened her mouth in disappointment, pulled the puzzle she had just bought the day before yesterday and fell to the ground, burying her head and pulling it.

Ding Xiaowei coaxed her to finish her meal and sat on the ground to play puzzles with her. The little girl still looked depressed and asked her several times when she would be back.

Ding Xiaowei touched her furry head, and could only say it was very fast.

Ding Xiaowei couldn't get excited about anything he did all day long. He looked at his phone repeatedly nervously, for fear of missing a phone call and a text message.

As the sky got darker, Ding Xiaowei's heart also became cold.

Could it be that something happened? He didn't believe that Zhou Jinxing left because of an unhappy one.

Where can he go? He doesn't have much money, and he won't be such a person who is so irrelevant. Has something really happened?

Ding Xiaowei's hands trembled. He called the traffic police team to check if there were any car accident victims that matched Zhou Jinxing until yesterday.

The answer obtained made Ding Xiaowei feel relieved on this end, but the other end was in a more troublesome situation.

If Zhou Jinxing doesn't come back, he wants to call the police.

He just sat in the living room for a day, and his hands and feet were cold at night.

Ding Xiaowei began to wander around the room like a headless fly. He was extremely anxious, but there was no way. He felt that Zhou Jinxing would be crazy if he didn't come back.

Xiaolingling surrounded him and asked questions over and over again, which made Ding Xiaowei very upset and couldn't help but yell at her.

The little girl cried immediately, and tears slid down from her face. Although she could not make a complete sound, the strange whimper in her throat hit Ding Xiaowei's heart.

He hurriedly hugged his daughter and coaxed her, and promised her that her Uncle Zhou would come back soon.

His little girl now relies on Zhou Jinxing more than on him. Often, the first thing she does when she goes home is to look for her Uncle Zhou, and she will think of him if she has any delicious food and fun.

If Zhou Jinxing disappeared like this, he didn't know what Lingling should do.

She didn't remember much when her mother left, and maybe she wouldn't be too sad, but Zhou Jinxing would remember her for a long time. Zhou Jinxing just left like this, how did he explain to his daughter?

And, what should he do?

Ding Xiaowei felt a soreness on his nose. He carried the little girl into the room and sat beside her bed to coax her to sleep.

Lingling fell asleep in a while, with dry tears on her face. Ding Xiaowei dipped some water with toilet paper, gently wiped her face, and looked at her sleepy little face, and felt in a mess.

Ding Xiaowei couldn't fall asleep all night. He kept thinking about Zhou Jinxing and the happy days of their family of three.

If time could go back, he would never leave that day. Even if he could not pass by Zhan Jiyu in his conscience, he would not make Zhou Jinxing angry.

Before he knew it, Zhou Jinxing had become an indispensable person in his life. If he really disappeared, Ding Xiaowei felt that he could not stand it, really could not stand it.
