7 Thief

About 2ooo years ago, I was still a primary school student. At that time, people in the village were rumored that some donkeys from other villages were stolen, and they also said that the police still did not catch the thief who stole the donkey. This kind of local news made the villagers nervous. The adults in each family started to suffer from insomnia at night, and they always listened to whether the donkeys in the circle were moving every once in a while. If there was no movement, they had to go to the circle to watch. The donkey is the main labor force in the family. If it was stolen, it would be that the childbirth would temporarily stagnate. This is a big event for the family, and you can't be careless.

On a winter night, the moonlight was bright, illuminating the whole village. I was pushed by my grandfather in my sleep, and I heard the sound of people outside and the sound of intermittently knocking on the iron basin. My subconscious mind told me that something must have happened in the village, otherwise how could anyone make a fuss at such a deep night? My grandfather kept asking me questions, but they were covered by sleepiness and couldn't open his eyes. As soon as my grandfather finished asking, I agreed casually and fell on the kang to continue sleeping soundly. Until later my grandfather got angry and shouted at me: If you don't tell me where the key is, our donkey will be stolen!

I suddenly woke up, my god! Is the thief who stole the donkey here?

I put on a casual jacket and ran out from the house with my grandfather to see what happened. Under the moonlight, I only saw a group of people knocking on iron tools and chasing something crazy. The whole night sky was very noisy with this noise. I was a little nervous, and I started to shake with a shovel. Various scenes of the thief came in my mind. I was thinking, if there were really thieves, I decided to fight to the death with them, and I suddenly had the glorious images of various people's heroes I learned in the textbook.

Grandpa said to me, "Don't run around, I'll go and see if the donkey over there is there!" Grandpa's mouth was from Grandpa's house (that night my mother went to squeeze oil, and Grandpa looked at us.)

I agreed, but my legs kept shaking.

I stood in the moonlight like a fool and waited for nearly an hour, but I still couldn't see any movement of the donkey thieves. Grandpa also came back from there, and he said it should be fine now, so I followed my grandpa back to the house. I really wanted to ask my grandpa what everyone in the village was doing, but when I fell asleep again, I continued to fall asleep.

Until the next day, there was a big news in the village about what happened last night.

The whole story is as follows: two people from neighboring villages came to our village to beat rabbits, but as soon as they walked into our village, they were spotted by an old man in the village. The old man mistakenly thought it was a donkey stole, picked up the shovel and started knocking, woke up the villagers around him, and surrounded the donkey thieves. The two young men who beat rabbits were stunned by this scene, so they ran away. As a result, the crowd in the village chased them reluctantly. It was not until they were blocked by the adults and children in the village that they caught the truth. It turned out that it was a misunderstanding, and the donkey thieves did not appear at all.

Actually, when I think now, if it weren't for the people in this village, even if the thief had seven courage, he might not have dared to come to our village. Regarding our village, there is such a saying outside: there are four twigs on all sides and a nest of ghosts in the middle. This describes the special geographical location of our village, which also shows that the villagers in our village are extremely cunning. Let me ask, which thief would die in vain and get into the ghost nest?

Although the thief catching was a misunderstanding, it was enough to show that the villagers were brave enough. It is said that an old man was wearing a shorts and carrying a whip and rushed up with the young man. It can be seen that in order to protect the inherent assets of the village, the old man did not hesitate to do anything.
