104 Frontier Memories
It was a biting winter. We left our hometown and came to the most beautiful city on the frontier.
My master is a handsome young man, a minority guy. Through those clear glasses, he has bright eyes. He always looks thoughtful. I like his smile very much. However, he doesn't like to laugh very much.
I carried my master's tool kit and walked through an air patrol passage. The master walked in front of me and I followed behind. Along the way, the master did not take the initiative to say a word, and I deliberately found a topic.
"Master, can you sing?" I trotted a few steps and caught up with the master's pace.
The master looked back at me and showed his cheerful smile. He asked me, "Why do you ask this?"
I quickly reacted in my mind and replied to the master: "Just as handsome as you, it's a bit regretful that you can't sing!"
The master also smiled and said to me: "Of course, listen to me sing a few words to you!"
After saying that, he started singing as he walked. It was really nice and sang.
"Okay! Jacky Cheung's "Legend of Hungry Wolf"?" I asked the master.
"Can you sing?" the master asked me.
I shook my head and said to the master: "I like this song very much, but I haven't learned it. This song is more singed in Cantonese!"
We walked towards the scene.
The master suddenly asked me quietly: "Xiaoma, do you know why your sister-in-law didn't let me wear a suit on the street?"
Faced with the sudden question, I replied without hesitation: "Because, because my sister-in-law doesn't like you in a suit!" After I said that, the master laughed up on his back.
"No, it's because your sister-in-law is afraid that I'm so handsome in a suit!" After the master said this, I couldn't help laughing.
The master said to me in surprise: "Really, why are you laughing at?"
I nodded repeatedly.
When we entered the elevator on the side of the boiler, we heard the harsh noise from the fan and covered our ears. Every time we entered this elevator, we became nervous involuntarily. I heard that this elevator had been parked in the air many times and could not get off.
The elevator door opened, and a man wearing a yellow safety helmet suddenly appeared at the door. The master and I were shocked. The master greeted him. It turned out to be the safety officer of our department, a kind old man.
A wave of heat rushed towards me, and a few drops of sweat instantly penetrated from my face. The master blocked me with his hands and signaled me to stop. I had no idea what had been born.
Because of the noise, I shouted and asked the master: "Master, what's wrong?"
The master's eyes were watching everything ahead alertly. He did not answer me. After a while, he signaled that I could go forward.
After arriving at the side of the drum, the master said to me, "Do you know why you suddenly stopped just now?"
I looked at him blankly, not knowing how to answer.
He said to me: "There may be a steam leak on the side of the steam drum. If we walk over like this, we may be pierced by steam!"
Another wave of safety knowledge. Looking back on the master’s actions just now, it’s so cool.
During the inspection, we found that there was a watch at 20 meters from the boiler and was not accurate in reading. The master arranged for me to observe the data at 20 meters, and he went down to zero meters for debugging. Before the master left, he gave me a walkie-talkie.
He quickly disappeared into the dense iron frame. I looked around and there was no one, all of them were heat waves. Just as I was in a state of anxiety, the fan started to inject wind, and I felt the steel frame standing at the station start to shake left and right. I panicked and walked to the end of the steel frame and returned to the original place.
I was thinking to myself, why didn’t the master move after going down for so long? I was holding the walkie-talkie, eager to hear the master’s voice from the walkie-talkie.
After waiting for a long time, my cell phone rang.
"Hey, master, what's wrong?" I asked.
The master told me that the walkie-talkie was broken and asked me to go down to zero meters. I followed the route the master had just gone down.
During that time, my master and I shuttled through various production sites. We climbed on the roof of the gray warehouse to repair cameras, went to the oil warehouse to repair surveillance, went to the steam station to repair meter, participated in the transformation of boiler flame TV...
I just walked out of campus and felt that work was also a very happy thing through getting along with my master. On the snowy oil depot, we repaired the camera and lay in the snow and shouted loudly. At the engineer station, the master patiently explained the process. Every moment in work is deep in my memory.
When I was about to leave that class, the master smiled and said to me, "I went to other classes to study hard, and the cooperation ended here!" When I heard this, I felt that the time was so short. I really wanted to keep learning technology with the master, joke with him, and solve various equipment problems with him.
Later, I was forced to leave that beautiful place. When I left, I didn’t have time to say goodbye to my master, but just gave it a message to me.
Standing in the snow and looking at the place where I have lived and worked for several months, I feel mixed feelings. This is just a stop in life, I have gained a lot of friends and learned a lot of knowledge.
