9 Go to the theatre

In recent years, I don’t know if there are any people watching the plays in my hometown. Perhaps today, when society is rapidly developing, people would rather hold their mobile phones to play with fun than brave the scorching sun and walk long distances to watch a play. In a few days, there will be a temple fair at the Dragon King Temple in my hometown. Which remark will be sung at this year’s temple fair? Are there any small toys sold under the stage?

People always like to join in the fun when they were young, and their parents were no exception. They added a lot of fun to my childhood. Although it was not something I would rather do, every time my mother wanted to take my brother and I to watch the show, she was both happy and excited. Once when I was in school, my mother ran to school to find me and my brother. I ran to my mother and thought that my mother wanted to give me something delicious. Unexpectedly, my mother told me to take us to watch the show. I thought, now it's good and I can finally go to play, so I happily jumped in the spot. When my mother was talking about this, she added another thing to it. It was mainly to watch my uncle's play, which made the show more special significance. My curiosity also increased a lot. I wanted to fly to the temple fair immediately to see what my uncle's play was like.

My uncle was an actor in the Qin Opera troupe in our hometown at that time. I had long heard that my uncle could sing his opera. I have to express my personal opinion again. If a person does what he likes, he will mostly be recognized by others. As far as I know, singing opera is the career that my uncle loves. Until now, my uncle sometimes even yells while working.

That day, there were many people in the village watching the show, just like the show, they usually went in groups. A group of adults led their children, and the children were very innocent. Some of them didn't know what the show was at all, so they were pulled out of the classroom, and some were probably still napping! The group of them crossed the stream under the scorching sun, climbed up the hillside, and sweat rolled on their foreheads. The children were all excited and energetic, and kept walking in front of the adults. Every time they passed a village, they felt as if they had to pass another country, and felt novel.

After crossing mountains and ridges for a few hours, we saw the temple fair in the distance from the top of the mountain. Colorful flags fluttered on the temple, and the lines of the actors came from the loudspeaker. We saw hope. Although we were tired of walking, we felt more energetic in our calves. After a while, we came to the temple fair. There were crowds of people and heads surging. People from all over the world were coming and going in and out of this limited venue. Children were whistling loud whistles and circling the venue. The old men wore their round glasses and sat on the bench and watched their every move on the stage in the distance. I took the soda that my mother had just bought for me and approached the main hall of the temple. From a distance, I saw several "gods" sitting upright with a kind expression, but I didn't dare to look carefully. I was afraid of getting lost, so I pulled my brother to my mother.

Lying beside me, I asked my mother who was my uncle. My mother looked at the stage. After a while, my mother didn't say anything, and she should be looking for her uncle. I could only see a few people wearing opera robes running around the stage, dancing with swords and guns, and crying again. My mother suddenly lowered her head and said to us, "Look, your uncle is out now!" Because the distance is too far, we didn't see clearly. My brother and I held hands and squeezed into the crowd. We ran to the stage and saw a big flower face winking on the stage, pretending to be treacherous. I was not sure that this big flower face was my uncle, but since my mother said he was my uncle, I think he must be my uncle. My brother and I were focused, watching my uncle fight against the Yang family on the battlefield filled with smoke. That's right, the play should be "Golden Sand Beach".

After my uncle's play, my mother took us to find my uncle. At that time, I didn't have a cell phone and couldn't call my uncle, so I could only go to the backstage to look for him one by one. The uncle we saw had already taken off his makeup, and he hugged us with a smile. Then my uncle brought us two bowls of rice on the stove. My brother and I were embarrassed to eat, but at my uncle's request, we had to finish the meal. My uncle always loved us very much, and I will not forget this. I am just a nephew and have never been able to respect my uncle.

The plays were sung from noon to night, as if there were night plays at night. But we were far away and had to stay away from the bustle and walk on the way home. On the way home, some of us kids were blowing, and we talked about what we saw and heard. I was going to bring my uncle out to play, but when I thought about it, how could children be so unmodest! So I walked silently at the end of the crowd.
