(81) Tears farewell to the morning

The graduation ceremony was over. I slept very heavily that night. My grades had settled. I no longer had to worry. I felt relieved.

It was almost noon that I woke up from my dream, had lunch in the school cafeteria, hurried to the bus station, and bought a ticket for the next morning. I was going to go shopping in the afternoon and studied for more than half a year. I only went back once in the middle, and I haven't been able to go home to see it. I really miss my parents and sister.

I came out of the ticket hall of the bus station and took the bus to the department store in the city center. On the New Year's Day holiday, I squeezed around, bought a coat for my mother and sister, and bought a cotton vest for my father, and prepared to give it to them as a gift during the Spring Festival. I came out with my things and saw that it was still early, so I wandered around aimlessly. I didn't want to go back immediately, because I was afraid that Yuan Yuan was still in school. Faced with the upcoming separation, I couldn't bear to look at her big resentful eyes.

In the square in the city center, there was a group of old men and women doing hand-shaking exercises. I wrapped my labor-insurance cotton coat tightly and watched boredly from the side. After more than a year in the factory, I jumped a lot and grew a head. The old cotton jacket I used to have long been unable to wear. Thanks to this large cotton coat, thick new cotton was shredded under the thick fabric, allowing me to withstand the severe cold of winter.

In the evening, I shrank my head and returned to school. After the last supper, the staff was basically gone, and the cafeteria would be closed tomorrow. I returned to the empty dormitory and opened the 2kW electric stove in the house. The cold space slowly warmed up. The power supply system is not expensive to use. After winter, the guesthouse equipped each dormitory with an electric stove, which can keep heating on the one hand and facilitate boiling hot water. Because they are all senior electricians, there is no need to worry about our electricity safety issues.

After wandering in the cold wind for most of the day, my body was already very tired, but I was about to go back. After washing up, I lay on the bed, but I was in a state of no sleepiness. I suddenly thought of Yin Hong, how is she now? Is she living in the Zhao family good? I thought of my master and He Xiaonan. Everyone envied their marriages, but is it related to love? I also thought of the dignified Aunt Liu. She must not remember the landlord who had lived for one night many years ago, but the old lady who had cooked water for her was talking about her for most of her life. Of course, I also thought of Yuan Yuan...

I couldn't sleep, so I simply put on my clothes and sat up and took out the book "Lu Xun Collection" that I hadn't read. Last time I went back, I borrowed a few books from Mashai, and read the others, and the rest of them were all left. I didn't understand why this old man, who was like an owl, always wrote some obscure and absurd stories, causing a group of crazy and arrogant people to say some inappropriate words. However, on this cold and desolate winter night, I indulged in without knowing it, and suddenly liked these rare words. I remembered the Russian old man who wrote "Resurrection". He said the same thing to this Chinese old man: "I know, I am a lunatic."

I don't remember when I fell asleep. When I suddenly woke up, there was a faint whiteness outside the window. I quickly got up and washed my face and brushed my teeth, picked up my packed luggage, and hurried out of the school gate.

The night was getting worse and Qi Ming followed me. I got off the bus in front of the station, walked through the empty square, and panted onto the steps of the waiting room. A figure blocked my way, and the person who came was wrapped in a big crimson scarf, with a pair of big eyes staring at my face resentfully on half of the pretty face exposed.

"Yuan Yuan, why are you here so early?" I greeted him guiltily.

"Have you eaten?" Yuan Yuan asked softly in the morning mist.

"I'm not hungry." I replied embarrassedly.

The girl didn't say anything anymore, gently pulled up my sleeves, pulled me down the steps, and walked into a breakfast shop with a fire-boosting fire near the station square.

"Here, two, please come inside." The breakfast shop owner shouted the air conditioner and greeted him enthusiastically.

We sat down at a low table. Yuan Yuan ordered four buns and a bowl of hot porridge and pushed them in front of my face.

"Let's eat together?" I asked flatteringly.

"I've eaten it." The girl shook her head gently.

"Thank you." I stopped refusing, took the chopsticks she handed over, quickly lowered my head and started drinking the porridge.

After dinner, I felt a little heat all over my body. Yuan Yuan and I left the breakfast shop. The girl ignored me and walked straight forward. I followed her at a loss. As soon as I returned to the bustling waiting room, the speaker inside began to shout: "The shuttle bus to ×× County will start checking tickets at seven o'clock."

I stood down and said goodbye to Yuan Yuan. The girl who had been silent all the time shivered for a moment, raised her face and looked at me and said, "Remember, if you have something to do, write me."

I was so nervous that I didn't dare to look at her eyes, and I pretended to be relaxed and agreed: "Of course, we are classmates. People say that if you have a family for three lifetimes, you should have a classmate for three lifetimes..."

My throat suddenly became a little astringent and I couldn't continue talking.

Yuan Yuan took out a wrapped item from his beautiful shoulder bag and stuffed it into my hand: "Please take it, keep it a souvenir."

"This..." I pinched the soft package and was stunned for a moment. I wanted to ask what it was, but was stopped by the girl Wen Mo's eyes.

"Thank you." I held the package in my arms and turned my head into the ticket gate.

The car slowly drove out of the station. Through the frost on the glass, I saw Yuan Yuan standing in the square, looking at this side. I waved to her against the car window. As soon as the girl raised her right hand, she covered her mouth. My eyes were also a little wet. In order not to be discovered, I quickly turned my face over.

The car left the city, and in the cold carriage, I opened the package in my arms. A thick silver-gray scarf wrapped around a brand new high school mathematics, physics and chemistry textbook. At the graduation ceremony the day before yesterday, I saw Yuan Yuan knitting this scarf with stitches, but I absolutely did not expect that it was for me.

In the wet morning mist, the car was jogging forward. I raised the collar of my cotton coat and carefully tied the scarf to my neck. The fluffy touch rubbed against my cheeks. My heart, which was pretending to be solid, was immediately melted. A stream of hot liquid could no longer control it, and it poured out of my eyes and dripped between the fine wefts of the scarf.

The sun shines out of the cold earth, and the faint rosy tints the lonely fields. New Year's Day has passed and the new year has begun.
