Chapter 17: Trial by Conspiracy

In the small room, Thomas listened respectfully and scolded.

"You disappointed me."

The blurred figure in the communicator is very straightforward.

"Sorry, I chose the wrong person this time."

"Do you have anything to explain?"

"I have no argument and am willing to accept the punishment of my master."

"That's the future. Now I hope you will do a good job in the aftermath and not affect the overall plan."

"Don't worry, master. Only the child is back, and everyone else has been dealt with by the vanguard, and there will be no mistakes."

Thomas said confidently.

"Is that true?" The black shadow called out a three-dimensional image and captured the scene of the crater battlefield at that time. It can be seen that after chasing Sanjay into the passage, a man stood up at the scene. He covered the wound on his shoulder and staggered towards the underground river. After arriving at the river, he disappeared.

Then the picture was frozen, then narrowed to the upper right, and the black shadow once again became the protagonist of the three-dimensional image. He asked in a cold voice: "Didn't you say you've dealt with it all, then what about this Neos? Where is his body?"

"Master, calm down." Thomas's face calmed down. He touched the button and opened the metal door behind him: "I have found him, right behind me, please see."

As he said that, he moved away, and two soldiers dragged a Neos in. He was dressed in human costume and had completely lost consciousness and left the mercy of others.

"Diet?"

"Yes, my man found his body downstream of the Dark River. To reassure you, I specially preserved this piece of carrion until now to verify with you that I have not lie."

Seeing Thomas come up with evidence, the dark shadow's voice slowed down a lot.

"Okay, let him disappear from my sight. I hope you don't hire this kind of inferior creature in the future, so as not to have any problems."

The dead body was carried out, the door was closed again, and Thomas stood in front of the image again and respectfully promised: "Don't worry, master. I will find an outsider to do things next time, so that the previous problems will not occur again."

"I believe in your ability to do things, so I don't have to assure me anything. Since Dr. Liang is dead, is the source files of the project still stored in the host?"

"Destroyed by General Benson." Thomas showed a set of pictures, which were the fire scenes in Liang Zhiqiang's laboratory. He slides the picture and supplemented by explanation: "The old guy is afraid of being investigated by the committee and leaves the handle. After Liang Zhiqiang escapes, he burns the laboratory, and the project insiders are burned to death, and then all the responsibility is pushed to Liang Zhiqiang."

"It's indeed an old fox. Didn't he doubt you?"

"He trusted me very much and asked me to cure the aftermath for him."

"You do well, but the threats you can see are not threats after all. Those threats you cannot see are what you need to beware of the most."

"You mean the eyeliner that the committee has placed in Genesis Group?"

"That's right." The black shadow listed a list below the image: "Let's check these people, they were all employees who entered the Creation world after Sando came to power. The background of these people is very blurry and seems to have been deliberately arranged. I believe that they are not all members of the committee. Many of them were deliberately changed to confuse the public. Pull away these fogs and find the mysterious person so that you will not encounter big trouble in your future actions."

Thomas bowed deeply and said humbly: "It's still the master's thoughtful thought."

"It's just a trivial matter." Having said this, the dark shadow turned around and asked, "What are your plans for that boy?"

"No, Master. I only know that he is locked in a military camp and will be sent to the colonial court tomorrow for trial."

"Can you use all your relationships to make sure he is exiled and that the memory must be preserved?"

"You think Dr. Liang..."

The shadow interrupted Thomas: "You don't need to ask this, as long as the answer is OK, it's still not OK."

"No problem, master."

"I hope you do what you say, I don't want to hear any news of failure again."

"Please rest assured, I will do everything."

After finishing the call, Thomas broke out in a cold sweat.

He walked out of the secret room, found all his confidants for a meeting, and assigned the next task.

"An, take your people and find out who the jury will be tomorrow. I hope they can prove that the child is guilty. Victor, you guys go to get the memory extraction office, whether it is spending money or using means, I hope that the person who will delete the child in the end is the person I know. Linda, contact Tinak and ask him to come to my office as soon as possible. I have an urgent matter to ask him to do it. OK, that's all I have to say, please get moving, move! Go out and get them done, hurry up!"

Thomas clapped his hands and urged everyone to leave until the house was empty, and then he collapsed onto the chair.

"I hope you won't make any mistakes on me before I find it."

Staring at Bart's photo, Thomas muttered to himself.

Two days later, Liang Hanyue was taken away from the military camp by the bailiff and went to the colonial Supreme Court for trial.

Because for many reasons, the whole thing went on in secret, without reporters, and the audience was not open.

In the empty court, only a few people were seated, including Chuangshi Group Coo Thomas, foster care personnel, and Sanjay who attended as witnesses.

Justice An Jae-jun announced the trial and Liang Hanyue was taken to the prisoner's seat.

The clerk read out the defendant's only crime: leaving the colony without permission.

Next was the evidence-providing process of the prosecutor. The foster care center provided Liang Hanyue's travel records that day. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., he studied at school, and then went to the Art Academy to study painting. At around 5 a.m., he left the art Academy and lost contact with the foster care center since then. Two hours later, the nanny robot activated the emergency mechanism and went out to search. At 8 a.m., Liang Hanyue's trace was found in the underground parking lot of his father's laboratory.

"This is an image transmitted back by the nanny robot Lian at that time."

The foster care staff displayed the video materials in court. For about 4 minutes, Liang Hanyue refused to go back with the robot and scolded loudly until the person in the same car destroyed the robot. After that, he also helped throw the residual body of the robot into the trash can.

"Those pictures are not real. Lian is my best friend. How could I treat her so much!"

Faced with the tampered scene, Liang Hanyue cried loudly, saying that he didn't understand why these people were doing this. They were obviously Lian's family and were regarded as family members by themselves, but at this moment they were distorting the facts.

"Quiet, the defendant please stop crying, otherwise I will take compulsory measures."

Under the judge's warning, Liang Hanyue restrained a lot, but she still cried.

"Sir Judge, this is our assessment report of the defendant, confirming that he has mania and has always wanted to escape from foster care."

Another piece of evidence was delivered to the court by the foster care facility.

After reading it, An Jae-jun nodded: "This way, it can explain why the defendant did such an extreme behavior. The clerk will give this report to the jury to pass it on."

The clerk will take the report to the jury table and the court will continue to provide evidence.

Sanjay was passed to the witness stand to tell the scenes and feelings of facing the defendant.

"We only meet once, but we can see that their father and son have a deep relationship. Dr. Liang would rather sacrifice himself to save him."

"Thank you for your testimony, Lieutenant Sanjay."

The judge signaled him to leave, but Sanjay did not leave. Because of the oath, he wanted to do something for Liang Hanyue at this moment. So he walked halfway and turned around and asked, "Judge, are you going to sentence this child to exile?"

An Jae-jun was stunned. He didn't expect the witness to ask questions and answered unconsciously: "This still needs to be discussed by the jury, but it should be what you said."

Sanjay came to the jury again: "I beg you all to let this child go. He is only 11 years old and is still young. He has lost his family recently. If he is exiled again, he will spend the rest of his life in the dark. No matter what reason he chooses to leave, I think he should be forgiven. He can be arranged to be educated by an institution. I think this punishment is enough. Please consider it carefully by the jury."

"Witness, don't interfere with the jury's decision. Please go to the auditorium now or I will expel you from the court."

An Jae-jun knocked on the gavel and warned Sanjay about his actions.

Sanjay stopped talking and stepped back to the auditorium. As soon as he sat firmly, he saw Thomas move to sit next to him, smiling and lowering his voice, "Lieutenant, you are such a good person. I also hope that the child is fine. Thank you for everything you have done for him."

"I just fulfilled my oath. Whether I can help him depends on how the jury judged it."

"So that's the case, I thought you knew him."

Sanjay was unintentionally responding to Thomas's temptation. What he was most concerned about at this time was the result of the trial. In the end, his suggestion was not adopted, and if nothing unexpected happened, it was decided that Liang Hanyue was exiled to Babel.

"I have tried my best, the God of Real Name."

Sanjay thought silently in his heart, feeling relieved, and Thomas, who was beside him, also smiled with satisfaction.
