49. Say Buddha(1/2)

In April, flowers bloom in the south of the Yangtze River.

The dense flowers are pressed down even the branches.

There is no wind. The wind is too lazy to blow a petal.

The bright sunshine shines on the various flowers and trees in the courtyard.

Cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, pear blossoms...

Colorful and colorful.

This is the Zen Temple of Zen Master Puning—

The sliding door between the exterior hall and the living room is completely opened.

More than ten people sat upright on the outer corridor and on the floor mat, looking at the sea of flowers in front of them, while tasting the tea and desserts served by the monks in the temple.

Zen Master Puning sat on the cushion, holding a cup of hot tea, his eyebrows were flying, and he chatted with everyone with a smile on his face.

Opposite him, everyone guarded a beautiful Carando beauty with bright eyes like glowing sapphires, her skin was so blew, and her red lips and pink face were better than peach blossoms.

Disha Sharma.

The peerless beauty who has become famous all over the world when she debuted at the age of fourteen. Now she is the most lively and active young people. However, this proud daughter of heaven is sitting cross-legged opposite Zen Master Puning, quietly listening to the old Zen Master explaining the "Vajra Prajna Paramita Sutra" to her.

The more than ten young people who accompanied Disha, except for the two Vedic monks with oil paint on their faces and exposed their right shoulders, were all elite students of Jiangnan University.

These include Duan Wangshu and Chu Fangjun, Feng Yifei and Lin Yinuo, Guo Wenqing and Guo Lingqing, as well as five other male and female students with different images.

At the request of the Carando Consulate, they were selected by the chairmen of each department to be responsible for the safety of Disha at Jiangnan University.

However, Duan Wangshu and Chu Fangjun are exceptions. They were specially invited by Disha to join at the school welcome party.

Zen Master Puning’s explanation of the Diamond Sutra is extremely unique. All those who listen to it have some understanding and nodded frequently.

This lecture took two hours. Finally, the old monk tapped the bowl lightly and stopped giving a lecture with a buzzing sound.

Everyone put their hands together to express their gratitude.

Disha Sharma smiled slightly and said slowly: "Some people can explain the wisdom scriptures so thoroughly. The master is worthy of the master of Buddhism, and Disha has been taught."

Disha, together with the two Vedic monks, bowed to Zen Master Puning.

Zen Master Puning smiled and returned the favor.

A flattering voice sounded: "Miss Disha said very well that Buddhism was transmitted from Karandu to Chanlahua and lasted for more than two thousand years, which is of course excellent."

Everyone looked at it, but the person who was talking was Feng Yifei, who was not far from Duan Wangshu.

Feng Yifei spoke just to echo Disha Sharma, but unexpectedly caused others' displeasure.

A Vedic monk looked dark and said lightly: "It's a pity that although Buddhism is good, it still perished in Kalandu..."

Feng Yifei was slightly stunned, and then he remembered that there was conflict between Buddhism and Veda, and the demise of Buddhism was absorbed and eliminated by Vedaism.

Feng Yifei shut up embarrassedly, but Lin Yinuo beside him asked cleverly: "Why will Buddhist scriptures exorcise people to be kind everywhere? Do they disappear? Can the people of Kalandu not like kindness?"

idiot!

Lin Yinuo, the arrogant girl, immediately aroused everyone's disgust.

Her words undoubtedly sparked a dispute between Buddha and Veda.

As expected.

The two Vedic monks looked angry and were about to scold them, but Disha smiled slightly and asked Zen Master Puning, "Master, does Buddhism advise people to be kind?"

Here comes.

Everyone was shocked and knew that an inevitable debate had begun.

Zen Master Puning smiled and shook his head, saying, "Buddhist does not encourage people to be good."

Everyone was stunned.

This seems to be different from the doctrine that Buddhism has always promoted...

Buddhism - How could it not encourage people to be kind?

The two Vedic monks also showed a look of attention, but there was a hint of confident smile on their lips.

To them, Buddhism was just a defeated man from the Vedic religion. The great debate that affected the entire Kalando ended in a disastrous defeat in Buddhism.

Now all Buddhist scriptures have been classified into Veda and have been thoroughly studied. I can't imagine any other brilliant theories that can be found in this distant eastern branch of Buddhism.

Everyone also raised their ears and listened.

"What's the solution?" Disha asked.

Zen Master Puning replied: "Do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you."

The two Vedic monks looked at each other.

Zen Master Puning explained: "This is a famous Confucian saying by Chanlaohua, which means: Don't impose it on others if you don't like it."

Wow—

Everyone was in an uproar.

Unexpectedly, a Buddhist master actually answered using Confucianism theory.

"It's understandable that you don't like what you don't like." Disha thought for a while and asked again, "What... what about 'what you want'?"

Don’t impose what you don’t like on others;

What about what I like?

Can it be imposed on others?

Everyone showed deep thoughts.

"Of course not." Among the crowd, Duan Wangshu replied softly: "No matter whether you like it or not, you cannot impose anything on others. This is not only a lack of respect, but also a violation of human rights."

All the Kalando monks nodded. Several students also agreed.

"What about goodness?" asked Zen Master Puning.

"It has nothing to do with good or evil." Duan Wangshu replied, "It's all."

"If anyone does evil, you won't stop it?" Zen Master Puning asked again.

Duan Wangshu was stunned and fell into deep thought.

If someone really commits a crime, of course, it must be stopped.

But if you answer this way, then what I said before - you cannot impose on others with your will... Wouldn't you slap yourself?

At this time, Guo Wenqing, who had been silent next to him, suddenly asked, "That is why Buddhism... advocates cutting flesh and feeding eagles and cutting flesh and feeding tigers? Isn't this too indulgent to the evil people?"

Disha couldn't help but ask curiously: "What should I do in the Middle Land Buddhism?"

Namo Amitabha.

Zen Master Puning said the Buddha's name, smiled slightly, and said, "Buddhist, advise yourself to be good."

Everyone suddenly realized.

Zen Master Puning smiled and explained with a smile: "Good and evil are born from the heart. The Buddhist advice to oneself to be good is to make a vow to one's own heart - to show others good deeds. If someone does evil, he should use his own good to resolve the evil. If he can make the evil people suddenly realize, he should put down his butcher knife and become a Buddha immediately. This is the merit of the evil people, and it is also his own merit."

"What if the evil man doesn't put down his butcher's knife?" a young man with a cold face asked coldly: "Kill one person and save all the people. Is it evil, is it good?"

"Killing people is evil; saving people is good." Zen Master Puning replied: "Stone is stone, monk is monk... that's all."

Doing anything will have two consequences. Good and evil will be rewarded and cannot be offset by each other.

The cold-faced young man nodded and realized.

Zen Master Puning continued: "Who is a Buddha? The enlightened person is a Buddha. Therefore, the Buddhists do not advise others, but encourage themselves. The purpose of telling others about the rewards of their own good deeds is to make people awaken themselves, rather than forcibly indoctrinate them. If you cannot do it, but ask others to do it, your purpose will inevitably be impure and you will fall into the evil path."

Everyone was confused and felt that they understood something, but they were blurry, with a layer of window paper.

"For example..." Zen Master Puning poured another cup of tea and said lightly: "There is a boat capsized on the river, and there is himself on the boat, a woman, a child, an old man, a man... There is only one lifebuoy, in your hands, what do you think?"

"Save the old..." Someone replied, "My country takes filial piety as its foundation and should save the old."

"Save children. Hope for the future..."

"Save a woman!" Lin Yinuo replied: "The only one who is a woman is a scumbag!"

...

Feng Yifei's mouth squirmed for a long time, but he could not say "save himself".

At this time, selfish nature will definitely not be favored by beautiful women.

Disha looked at Zen Master Puning and asked softly: "Who should the master think... should he save?"

"Namo Amitabha. Save yourself..."

The words of Zen Master Puning made the scene quiet.

Even selfish people like Feng Yifei were shocked when they heard this.

Looking at the big question marks on everyone's faces, Zen Master Puning gently tapped the bowl in front of him and made a clear sound, "Saving a life is better than building a seven-level pagoda; saving one's life is better than building a seven-level pagoda. Only when one's peace can one save others is merit. And killing oneself to save others is a sin. Killing oneself is a sin. Isn't killing oneself a murder?"
To be continued...
