Chapter 5 Adventure

The following story is narrated by A Qi's first person:

That night, Ziwen, my college classmate, was also a supernatural enthusiast. He proposed to go to a deserted residential building nearby, which had become an unfinished building a year ago, with no one living in it and no construction team, which was very suitable for adventure and test.

What’s even more strange is that there is also an urban legend about that old building. This building is very evil, and two people die here every year, and it has never stopped.

"I've been curious about it for a long time. Today I happened to take this opportunity to explore. What do you think?" Ziwen asked excitedly.

"Yes, it's been a long time since I've been playing like this for a long time." When I heard Ziwen say this, I was immediately excited. During my college years, we participated in similar activities a lot. On the contrary, Xiaowei, although he was very concerned about these things on the Internet, he really wanted to take a risk on the spot, and Xiaowei became stage frightened.

He said he had heard of the weird story about the unfinished building, but he felt that it was not just a simple legend. Xiaowei told us that before the building was abandoned, he had a friend's relative who lived there.

"Brother Qi, Brother Ziwen, that building is really evil. Although I like to study these things, I don't want to be implicated." Xiaowei was quite worried: "Listen to my friend, everyone who lives in that building knows that there are dirty things in the building... A year ago, his relative was found dead at home. At that time, the police said to the public that he committed suicide, but do you know how he died?"

Xiaowei lowered his voice: "He took a rope, tied it to the bed on the upper bunk, and stood and hung it on his back."

The person who found the body was the deceased's shared tenant, and it was also the case he reported. The reason why the deceased committed suicide was because the building they lived in is located in the most famous slum area in the New Territories, where each room is only less than ten square meters, and there is only one bed in the room, and it is divided into upper and lower bunks. The kitchen and toilet are crowded together, and it is still public. Because there is almost no room for rest in the house, the deceased hangs on the edge of the bed.

Hong Kong has a land area of 1,104.3 square kilometers but has a population of more than 7.5 million, making it one of the most populous cities in the world today. The housing prices here are ridiculously high. Many people can only live in a house of a few square meters in their lives, and there are "capsule rooms" less than 1.5 square meters. From getting up to sleep, they can only bend in such a small space.

There are many such buildings in Hong Kong. Because of their small location, they can only lie straight after entering the room. Therefore, such buildings also have an nickname called "Coffin Room".

"Standing and hanging?" Ziwen became even more interested when he heard this: "If his feet don't touch the ground, how could he die?"

"I don't know either. In short, another resident died in the building. This just happened to fulfill the previous legend, two people died every year." Xiaowei said nervously: "So we'd better not go. Over the years, there should be countless people who have died there."

"These are just coincidences. Which building will not die? Besides, the pressure of life and work is high now. It would be strange if you are not crazy if you live in a room like a cell." I didn't care about this, but instead persuaded Xiaowei. I told him that I have played various soul-summoning games over the years and have also visited many legendary haunted venues, but I have never seen ghosts.

Xiaowei was still a little resistant, but he couldn't resist the persuasion between me and Ziwen. Finally, he gritted his teeth and agreed to go and have a look with us.

So the three of us settled the bill and left the bar around 11 o'clock. Because we couldn't get a taxi nearby, we took a bus and got off the bus and walked for a while. It took about 40 minutes to arrive at the building Ziwen mentioned.

Looking at the unfinished building standing quietly in the dark, Ziwen excitedly turned on his phone and said that he wanted to record all the scenes of tonight. This building was close to the road. Although it was almost twelve o'clock, the nearby streets were still on and occasionally pedestrians passed by. Walking forward a few hundred meters, there were food stalls. Seeing that the surroundings were still prosperous, Xiaowei breathed a sigh of relief, but I was a little disappointed.

I originally thought that the vicinity should be even more gloomy and desolate, but I didn’t expect it to be so lively. In this way, the rumors about this building are probably fake.

At this time, Ziwen had already walked to the entrance of the corridor first. Seeing that he was taking the lead in, Xiaowei and I followed.

This building is very tall, with a total of thirteen floors. From bottom to top, each corridor on each floor is square and formed into a "再" shape. After looking at it for a long time, it is like being in a maze. This dark and depressing atmosphere can easily make people feel suffocating and dizzy.

Since the building was abandoned for a year, the elevator was naturally not allowed to take the elevator. The three of us walked up the stairs and heard Xiaowei say that his friend's relative lived on the twelfth floor during his lifetime, so we decided to go to his house to take a look.

However, when I was going up the stairs, I always felt a strange feeling... it was like there was a fourth person in this darkness.

At this point, Ah Qi suddenly paused.

For some reason, when Ah Qi was talking about this, a scene appeared in front of Jiang Li again: in the dark and abandoned residential building corridor, three young men were whispering tones, whispering something. The corridor was covered with dust, the yellowed walls were covered with graffiti, and the corridor was filled with abandoned furniture and domestic garbage. The three young men walked to a dilapidated door and stopped.

What they didn't know was that at this moment, a dark figure was lying on the handrail of the corridor above the heads of the three young men, jutting most of them down at them.

"You went to that dead house?" Jiang Li couldn't help but ask.

However, the other end of the phone suddenly became quiet. Jiang Li said curiously, "Hey?" a few words. Just when he thought there was something wrong with the other party's signal, A Qi's voice sounded again: "Sorry, I'm going to boil water. Thank you for your hard work, remember to drink more water."

"Thank you for your concern." Jiang Li politely said a few words and continued to ask: "What have you seen after you go in?"

"The room there is only a few square meters, and neither of them can squeeze in. So Ziwen asked us to stand outside and wait for him, and walked in alone. However, not long after, the door suddenly made a loud noise and closed it myself!!! Later I heard Ziwen's shout..."

As if recalling the scene at that time, A Qi's originally calm voice suddenly became very strange and his emotions became excited: "There are ghosts there, there are really ghosts! When we discovered it, it was too late. Ziwen died, and later Xiaowei died!"

"My listener, are you saying true?" At this time, a man's whimper came from the other end of the phone. His voice was very weak, and he couldn't hear clearly if he didn't tell it carefully.

Jiang Li thought that it might have been that he stimulated the other party, so he couldn't help asking: "So you were the only one who escaped at that time? Then have you called the police?"

"Hey? Hello? Are the person still there?" The other end of the phone became quiet again. Jiang Li asked for a long time, but A Qi never answered him.

"It seems that this listener's cell phone signal is not very good, so let's stop tonight's show."

Jiang Li was very concerned about the submission call. Not only that, but even the audience's tone made him feel very uncomfortable.

He looked at the time on the wall. It was already five o'clock. In the last ten minutes, a piece of music was inserted, and the program was officially over. Thinking of this, Jiang Li finished reading the ending, called out the playlist on the computer, and prepared to play a piece of music.

"Combined with the content of the task: Exploring the secret hidden behind the host... Could it be that what the person said just now is related to Chen Mo?"

Jiang Li leaned on the chair and thought, for a moment he forgot to take off his headphones. A song with a sense of age sounded from the headphones, which should be very popular music in the 1980s.

Jiang Li was a little strange, thinking that Chen Mo's taste was really strange. It was already 2018, so why are there anyone listening to such old songs that are stale? No wonder the radio station is getting cold.

Jiang Li, who was only thinking about his thoughts, did not notice that the songs on the computer list were actually some popular music. He just ordered the popular male singer William Chan's "The Heart Piercing Arrow", but for some reason, it turned into "I'm by You".

"Send our sorrow to the streets"

"Let the sun warm the desolate heart"

...

The music sounds very cheerful, but for some reason, Jiang Li always feels furious in his heart.

Once again, he looked at the dark door habitually, but this time, he discovered a slight unusual place. There was a water dispenser in the office corridor facing the live broadcast room. Jiang Li clearly remembered that the power outside had been turned off before, and the water dispenser was no exception.

And now, in the dark corridor, there is a red light flashing on the water dispenser. This means that someone just turned on the power supply and burned hot water.

"The blue sky is high and the climate is bright and the water is beautiful"

Accompanied by the female voice in the headphones, Jiang Li suddenly remembered that the man named Aqi on the phone just now had said that he had burned water and told him to drink more water.

"Send the sorrow away and put everything behind your head..."

"I'm on your side!"

The female voice in the headphones suddenly became extremely sad. With this lyrics, Jiang Li suddenly saw a picture that made him feel numb from his scalp.

A pale and covered in blood was standing by the glass door. He was holding a phone in his hand, staring at Jiang Li with a squinted eyes, grinning and showing a mouthful of white teeth.

Jiang Li was so scared by this scene that he was stunned. The man suddenly stretched out his hand and put it on the door. Blood flowed down the glass, leaving behind a hideous and eye-catching red palm print. Then, his figure disappeared.

Before disappearing, he silently spoke to Jiang Li.

Jiang Li understood, and the man said: "I'm here to find you."
