Chapter 6 Teacher Xu Shu

Xu Shu, whose courtesy name was Yuanzhi, was from Changshe County, Yingchuan County (now Changge Dong, Xuchang, Henan). At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Liu Bei's counselor was appointed as the leader of Liu Bei's tent, and later returned to Cao Cao and served in Cao Wei.

Unlike the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, although Xu Shu met Liu Bei and had long made suggestions, he did not say a word after returning to Xudu because of his mother's arrest. On the contrary, he said a lot.

The Three Kingdoms records that Xu Shu was the last official of the Censor General of the Wei State, and was very pleased by Cao Cao. This is definitely not a treatment that he could get without saying a word.

In Xudu, Xu Shu's identity was not Cao Cao's counselor or Liu Bei's old minister. He only had one identity, Cao Cao's youngest son Chong's teacher.

"Cheng'er, I'll pay homage to Master!" Seeing Xu Shu, Cao Chong subconsciously bowed his hand and wrote a heavy compilation to Xu Shu, and gave a great gift to him.

In ancient times, the saying that one day he was a teacher and a father for life was exaggerated, but it was enough to prove the importance of respecting teachers and respecting Tao. Respecting teachers and respecting Tao is also an aspect of virtue.

"I heard that Chong'er has just recovered from a serious illness. I'm here to see you, but judging from your complexion, I really can't see you as sick!"

Xu Shu also likes this student very much. With such talent and kindness in his heart, what else can he ask for? Therefore, every time Xu Shu looks at Cao Chong, his eyes are smiling.

"Hehe, the students don't know. Maybe it's a disaster that will last forever, so there must be a blessing!" Cao Chong endured his aggrievance, stroked the back of his right hand, and looked very honest.

"That's good. You have done a good job today. You must have the heart of a sage and wise, but you must also be polite and philosophical."

"Teacher Xie praised, Chong'er just did what I should do!"

"Okay, okay!" Xu Shulian said three good things, obviously in a good mood. He patted the bamboo slips on his hand, his head turned lightly, and his originally handsome face was extremely free and easy.

"You and I have not seen each other for ten days. I have left and went to school with me. I have to take the exam carefully for your recent review of the book."

School exam? Nani? You are right?

Cao Chong is now desperate to search for books about elementary education in his mind, and keep up with Xu Shu's pace while following.

Xu Shu was a student of Mr. Shui Jing, a famous scholar in the Three Kingdoms. In this era, except for the doctors of the Five Classics enthroned by the imperial court, only the great scholars of the times have this honor.

Mr. Shui Jing, Taizhong Doctor Kong Rong, and Shangshu Cui Yan, all have this honor.

Xu Shushi taught the water mirror and preached the teachings and received the cause. Cao Chong was sweating coldly at this moment.

The school that Xu Shu mentioned was actually in Sikong's Mansion, and it was only a thousand steps away from Xiaren's courtyard. It passed through the pavilion and lotus pond, and then passed a section of beautiful flowers and trees, flowing wine and water, and rockery everywhere, and then arrived at the school.

The school is filled with willow trees in front of the door, and a stream runs through it. In a thatched hut among the willow forest is the school.

Although this school is a thatched house, it is also a sparrow that is small and has all the internal organs. There is a plaque in front of the door, and it says: Chongyuan Hall.

Retrieved from "The Analects of Confucius-Taibo": "Scholars must not be broad-minded and resolute, but have a long-term path. Isn't it too heavy to be kind as their own responsibility? Isn't it too far after death?" The word "dragon" actually contains Xu Shu's expectations for Cao Chong.

That’s right, there is only Cao Chong, the entire Chongyuan Hall, and Cao Chong is only Xu Shu, the teacher.

Scream~

Xu Shu pushed open the door of the hall, and came to him a portrait of Confucius, which was hung high above the hall wall. Below was a small blue-black three-legged tripod placed on the vermilion sacrificial table, with some sand and stones, with incense ash and incense poles remaining on it.

Xu Shu took out five incense sticks from the grid, took flint to burn them, handed them two incense sticks to Cao Chong, and then performed respect for the teacher on the portrait of Confucius.

The ceremony is over.

Xu Shu and Cao Chong came to the inner room school. Apart from a table, there was only the Master's table, and the layout was a bit like the classrooms of later generations.

Cao Chong was kneeling on the ground with a nervous mood.

When Cao Chong met historic celebrities, except for the excitement at the beginning, he was all worried.

"How have you benefited from Wenshu recently?" Sitting on the stage, Xu Shu also entered the role of a teacher, his speech was ups and downs, but he was not without sternness.

"The students have roughly learned a little, and I asked the Master to take the school entrance exam!"

No! I don’t know what to do when I’m reading? But... I don’t believe that with my later college students, I have all 64 ancient poems in high school, and I’m still afraid of your school entrance exam?

"Well, it's very good! "Cangjie Pian", "Fan Jiang Pian", "Qijiu Pian", "Yuan Shang Pian", etc., in addition, there are books such as "Guangcang" and "Wu Shang", etc., you can recite it to me."

Na... Nani! I will recite all of them to you, let alone Cao Chong’s mind. Even if I know how much effort I have to recite them, I’m sorry, I can’t do it!

"What?" Xu Shu frowned, obviously his little emotion had begun to be brewing in his heart. "Didn't you say that Wen Shu is better? Why can't you even memorize some basic works?"

Cao Chong was a famous child prodigy in the Three Kingdoms. Not only can he read books at a glance, but he can also remember them all. At a young age, he also called himself a eccentric. Except for Kong Rong, who was four years old, no one in the Three Kingdoms can compare with him.

But if Xu Shu’s request comes to Cao Chong, it won’t work. I am not a child prodigy. I am just a soul from the 21st century. How can there be so many bugs?

Didn’t I show my sank in front of my son Cao Cao, but I wanted to show my sank in front of my master Xu Shu?

No! I have to think of a solution!

Suddenly! Cao Chong's body stretched straight and suddenly stretched. Cao Chong knelt down and bowed to Xu Shu: "Master, it's not that Cang Shu cannot recite all the books he learned, but the students have been moved for a long time, and suddenly they have inspiration. I hope that a high-level book will be written and wait for the Master to take the exam!"

Xu Shu's eyes lit up, obviously believing Cao Chong's words. A gentleman did not stand under a dangerous wall. Cao Chong had long been known as a child prodigy, but Xu Shu wanted to see Cao Chong's masterpiece.

"Write it quickly! Don't wait for your teacher for a long time." Xu Shu put down the bamboo slips in his hand and hurriedly took out the blank bamboo slips and pen and inkstone for Cao Chong in the box in the corner of the school.

"When I am the teacher and moisten the pen for you!" Xu Shu poured some clear water on the square inkstone, grind it with a piece of ink to make the ink color, and dipped the brush slightly ink, and handed it to Cao Chong.

Cao Chong held the pen. Although he was not often used in the 21st century, Cao Chong also knew how to hold the brush. As for the fonts written by the official script, they were all in Cao Chong's mind.

Cao Chong stood and wrote four big characters on the bamboo slips - "Afang Palace Fu"!

Afang Palace? Xu Shu frowned. Could it be that his student who was not as good as the crown should mourn the Qin Dynasty?

Cao Chong did not pay attention to Xu Shu's expression. In fact, he was already deeply involved in the great cause of copying books and his thoughts were spreading.

"Afang Palace Fu" is a satirical work by Du Mu of the Tang Dynasty. Its purpose is to remind the rulers of the current dynasty not to forget the lessons of the fall of Qin, not to build palaces widely, and to cherish the people's strength.

Similarly, during the Three Kingdoms period, "Afang Palace Fu" still has its value. This is not only Cao Chong's sake in order to win over his talent, but also reminded his father Cao Cao not to build a palace and be complacent.

There was a saying in later generations that if Cao Cao had not built the Tongque Tower and wanted to "the Tongque Spring Lock the Two Qiaos", the Eastern Wu would not have resisted so strongly, and naturally there would have been no defeat at the Red Cliff.

Of course, this is just a joke in later generations, and it is not true. However, in the Battle of Red Cliff, in addition to the Cao army's unsuitable water battle, there are also plagues rampant, the more they were defeated, the pride and underestimation of the enemy were Cao army.

Since the Battle of Guandu, Cao's army has not suffered a major defeat for ten years, so naturally the soldiers are all proud and complacent.

In an article "Afang Palace Fu", Cao Chong hopes to help Cao's army, who is about to go to war.

The brush is steady. The one in Cao Chong's hand is a purple hair brush. The tip of the pen is made of the hair on the back of the wild mountain rabbit. It is named after the color is black and purple. Its hardness is harder than that of the sheep hair, and is standardized as small regular script.

Cao Chong wrote a style and began to write on the bamboo slips, while Xu Shu watched with concentration.

The six kings are gone, the four seas are gone, the mountains are gone, and the A-fang is out. The cover is over three hundred miles, and the sun is isolated...

Cao Chong breathed a sigh of relief. If it weren't for Cao Chong's memory in his mind and conditioned reflexes in his hands, Cao Chong wouldn't have written anything like official script.

But he didn't pay attention. Xu Shu was already shocked, staring at Cao Chong's writing without moving, as if there were all the beauty in the world between vertical and horizontal strokes.

This son, this article is wonderful, wonderful. How could a child who has only experienced thirteen years of spring and autumn have such a strong and profound writing style?

The beginning of the article is first led by four short three-character sentences, with compact syllables and extraordinary momentum, achieving the effect of being preceded by the prestige. These twelve words not only describe the heroic spirit of Qin Shihuang's unification of the world, but also describe the extraordinary construction and creation of the Afang Palace. The language is so concise that it cannot be deleted at all, and the writing is powerful.

Especially the last sentence, it simply describes the crux of Qin's fall. How deep is the understanding of history? To have such an sigh!

When Cao Chong's last stroke fell, Xu Shu was already holding the bamboo slip and sighing at the sky.

At first, Xu Shu thought Cao Chong was copying other people's works, but the rigorous poems are different from any works of the world. If an unknown person could write such an article, he would have become famous all over the world. How could he be an unknown person?

Xu Shu put down the bamboo slips, but Cao Chong looked carefully and could still see the tears in the corner of Xu Shu's eyes.

Well, Xu Shu, you are a historical celebrity after all! As for crying for an article?

"Cang Shu, did you really write this yourself?" Xu Shu said something particularly disbelief.

"Of course, it was really written under the Master's nose. Why did Master say this?" Cao Chong's tone was already a little dissatisfied.

In fact, this cannot be blamed for Xu Shu. Both of them are literati, and Xu Shu is also a teenager. "Afang Palace Fu" is not something written by Amao and Agou, it was Du Mu. At that time, Du Mu was already a master of literary world, and the "Afang Palace Fu" written by him was almost the pinnacle of his life.

Such a literati and such a pinnacle work appeared on a young son, and Xu Shu couldn't believe it.

"It's not that you don't believe me, but your article is in a different format, and it's a natural and unrestrained, with a smooth flowing water, a deep mind, a deep still water flowing, and without some experience, it's impossible to write it out!"

Cao Chong's mouth sagged, and he obviously didn't believe this sentence. It seemed that he had to add some strong medicine.

"The Master doesn't know that after this great disaster, students have already wandered between life and death. There are great horrors between life and death, and naturally there are great opportunities. This time, the students have learned a lot of knowledge about the intercourse between life and death. After reading the history of Qin, this article was probably born in the students' hearts for a few days, and finally the ink was splashed out!"

Xu Shu nodded, expressing his willingness to believe Cao Chong's words.

"The Master said: If you don't know life, how can you know death? You have already wandered between life and death. I believe that you know life and death. You are so smart and have this experience, it is a great blessing!"

Cao Chong was calm on the surface, but in fact he was already uneasy. There were already sweat stains on the Confucian uniform on his back. Sure enough, copying books is not advisable. You cannot do too much of this kind of thing, otherwise, Du Mu's coffin board in later generations would probably be unable to be suppressed.

Fortunately, Xu Shu believed it, and then this time the school entrance exam was over!
