Chapter 7 Tibetan Oil Paintings (1)

It was a strange painting.

At the end of 2010, after returning from Nepal, I joined Tibet and rested at the foot of Karren Peak for a week.

I did not immediately start looking for clues to the Ma family. After all, the journey along the way was too tiring. At the suggestion of my friend, I was going to deal with the various burdens of this trip to Nepal first.

I brought back a large number of antique ornaments with Tibetan Buddhism characteristics from Nepal, hoping to use them as samples for display and to find the true source of the jewelry in the ancient Zhangjia Building. In that place called Motuo, I sorted all the ornaments into three large packages and mailed them to three different addresses in Hangzhou to reduce the burden on the journey in the future.

There are two types of "post offices" in Motuo. This is because Motuo is a very special place. It has been closed for many years and has difficulty entering and leaving. Therefore, the regular post offices here could only receive letters and could not send letters. It was not until recent years that there was a small road for postage, but the mail train was only allowed to go to once a week.

Therefore, there are also private mail services in the local area, which are actually to find someone to bring mail packages along the way. Among the people entering and leaving Motuo, it is very common to help others carry mail packages. Some people will make some money as intermediaries. The so-called "post office" I found is opened by such people. Although it is not particularly safe, it can at least ensure time. As long as someone goes out of Motuo, you will probably know when you can go to the post office outside, and then forward it will be safer.

There are car roads, horse gangs and porters when leaving Motuo. Car roads are not open to traffic all year round. When I came, it happened to be the season when the horse gangs were almost extinct, so I was looking for the so-called hikers or porters.

All mails must be carried out by the "postman" bit by bit, so the weight of the mail should not be too heavy. It took me nearly three hours to make the average weight of three large packages.

It was at that time that I saw the painting, and it was hung on the "post office counter" - in fact, it was a piece of tempered glass standing on an office desk - on the wall behind it.

The wall is painted with light green paint, with the following things hanging on it: a painting of ink painting with "a journey of thousands of miles", with eagles and four large characters; three bilingual banners, which are all praise words such as "remembering money" and "safety and insurance"; and there is also an oil painting.

Oil painting is not the kind of work that you can tell at a glance is from a professional painter. It is a very ordinary painting, even a bit clumsy painting. The painting is a side image of a person. Judging from the degree of peeling and color of the paint, it seems that it has been here for a long time.

The main body of the painting is a young man. I don’t understand Western painting, but the so-called principles of painting are the same to a certain extent. Although this is a painting with a very clumsy painting method, it has a unique strength.

I don’t know where this feeling comes from. The person in the painting is wearing a lama’s clothes on the upper body and a hidden robe on the lower body. Standing in the mountains, you can see the Snow Mountain of Karrenci behind you. I don’t know whether it is the setting sun or the glory of the beginning of the sun, the tone of the whole oil painting has changed from white to gray-yellow.

This is an excellent example of poor painting skills but boldly applying it in color, which directly brings out artistic conception.

Of course, even so, it does not mean that this painting has any value. The reason why I am surprised is because I know the person in the painting.

Yes, the characteristics and expression of this person make me absolutely have no doubts.

It's him.

I was completely confused about how he appeared here, because this person really had no reason to appear in Motuo, in a poor oil painting in Motuo.

This is a portrait of a bottle of oil.

First of all, I tried my best to deny it because this matter was too strange, so the possibility of mistaken reading was very high. After all, it was a painting, not a photo. Many details in the painting were relatively blurred, and it was possible to cause such similarity.

However, I found that I couldn't take my eyes away. All the details of the people in the painting told me that this was a bit too similar. Especially the eyes, I have lived until now and have not seen a person with the same eyes as the young man. The fat man said that it was an eyes that had no connection with everything. Few people in the world can live until they have no connection with the world.

However, the people in this painting have that look.
