The Shuguang 6000a supercomputer room occupies a complete three floors of the six underground space of the Matrix Technology Building, with a total area of ​​more than 12,000 square meters.

This computer was jointly developed by the Institute of Computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shuguang Company. Its core processor is Loongson octa-core and some Intel Xeon series processors. The system adopts an independent HPP architecture, consisting of 4,640 computing units, and adopts efficient heterogeneous collaborative computing technology. The system consists of 9,280 general-purpose PUs and 4,640 dedicated GPUs.

The computing network adopts one-way 40gbpsqd Japanese niniband technology, the core storage adopts the autonomous parastor high-speed io system, and uses the female IDIATESLA2050 general-purpose processor with Inteleon5650+er fan architecture to run the Linux operating system.

In addition, Shuguang 6000a also uses many leading technologies such as QD iniband high-speed switching module (HSSM), large-scale system management and scheduling system (GDVE), high-performance computer security system (NIKE), making this computer an independent controllable high-performance computer system in China.

This supercomputer system is the same model as the Shuguang 6000 supercomputer that was put into operation at the Shenzhen City National Supercomputer Center two years ago. However, compared with the Shenzhen City supercomputer system, this supercomputer of Matrix Digital uses the latest models of Pu and GPU. The peak computing power exceeds 5000 trillion times per second, and the actual measured performance reaches 2271 trillion times per second. The performance has been nearly doubled.

More importantly, this is a supercomputer system designed for the "cloud computing" environment. It emphasizes the balanced design of the system and dynamic resource scheduling capabilities. It can not only provide cloud services for matjios system users, but also provide various scientific computing services to scientists at the Matrix Research Institute.

Yang Lin came here today, on the one hand, inspected the Matrix Technology Building that will be delivered for use, and on the other hand, it is to take a look at this Matrix Supercomputing Center, which is known as the sixth largest supercomputing center in China.

At present, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China has approved the establishment of five national supercomputer centers, namely the National Supercomputer Tianjing Center, the National Supercomputer Yangcheng Center, the National Supercomputer Shenzhen City Center, the National Supercomputer Xiangcheng Center and the National Supercomputer Qilu Center.

This supercomputer from Matrix Digital is the sixth largest supercomputer center in China and the only enterprise-level supercomputer center that is not open to the public.

In theory, supercomputers, especially supercomputers with computing speeds exceeding tens of trillions of times, are not something that ordinary companies can own. In China, even some central enterprises do not have such supercomputer systems.

Any supercomputer is a money-burning machine. The electricity they consume when they run is equivalent to a city with a population of hundreds of thousands. From this, you can imagine how expensive the operating cost of supercomputers is. Ordinary companies cannot afford such a big money-burning user.

But Matrix Digital is different. On the one hand, Matrix Digital now holds three powerful tools: the Mischief architecture processor, Mat Os operating system, Matrix language, and any mobile Internet company in the world has to look at Matrix Digital's face. Yang Lin doesn't have to worry about Matrix Digital's future profits. The annual operating cost of nearly $100 million is naturally not a problem.

On the other hand, after the Internet conference more than a month ago, Matrix Digital has established its own position in China, and Yang Lin was able to obtain this supercomputing system. It was also the high-level route that was approved by the Presbyterian Council.

Otherwise, strategic equipment such as this involving the country's layout in the field of science and technology will not be obtained by a private enterprise.

Yang Lin looked at the rows of starry sky-gray cabinets, and a trace of all thought flashed in his eyes.

In his opinion, these cabinets represent not only the present of matrix digital, but also the future of matrix digital.

In addition to playing a role in cloud applications, scientific computing and other fields, this supercomputer will provide a hardware foundation for Yang Lin to develop real artificial intelligence in the future.

In fact, as Yang Lin's research on artificial intelligence technology becomes increasingly deepened, he increasingly feels the lack of computing power in artificial intelligence computers.

At present, the performance of the server in his home has been maximized by him. The system's anthropomorphism rate has reached 99.999%, but in Yang Lin's opinion, this is far from enough.

But at this time, there is no room for improvement in artificial intelligence from the software field, so Yang Lin can only start with hardware, which is also his original intention of trying every means to obtain this supercomputer system.

"Mr. Yang, Shuguang 6000a is expected to be installed in half a month, but it will take at least two more months to be put into operation. The relocation of the head office can start in one week. We have preliminarily formulated a half-year relocation time. It is expected that in six months, all companies under Matrix Holding Group will move into Matrix Technology Building."
