Chapter 2 Guerrilla Columns

Chahar Province, in a village outside a small county town not far from Outer Mongolia.

A young man with a pretty face and wearing the uniform of a major in the National Army, anxiously looked at the map on a broken table.

Because the Japanese army in Chahar had limited troops and had to cooperate with the Japanese army in North China, the defense here was very empty.

After the fall of the national army, many guerrillas were organized, and the major led a guerrilla team.

"Captain, the detachment has been found out. Commander Yang seems to be entangled by the Japanese army. When I first went to investigate, I heard from the people that there were gunfires in front of me." A lieutenant ran in and said to the major.

The major's brows frowned tightly and said to the lieutenant: "Gather the troops immediately and follow me to pick up Commander Yang."

The second lieutenant ran out quickly without any hesitation.

After a while, hundreds of troops were gathered together urgently and, under the leadership of their respective commanders, marched towards the front.

At this moment, Yang Junran was gasping for breath, not knowing how to face this colonel who was exactly the same as himself.

The colonel's expression was still painful, his mouth opened but he said nothing.

However, the ring on Yang Junran's right hand reacted, and the black ring had already revealed a trace of white light.

I don’t know how long it took, but the colonel’s expression became ferocious.

This surprised Yang Junran. Yang Junran thought that the colonel was injured and had such an expression. He walked towards the colonel without any consideration.

"Where is this place, why am I here, and what is our relationship? Can you tell me?" Yang Junran said as he said no one knows how many times he said, and was preparing to check his health for the colonel.

"What's going on? Why is this happening?" Yang Junran asked in disbelief as he looked at everything in front of him.

The colonel reluctantly smiled, but did not answer Yang Junran's words.

Yang Junran touched the colonel's body again, but it was like air and could not reach anything.

Suddenly, the colonel seemed to sense something and his eyes closed tightly.

Yang Junran looked at the colonel in confusion, unable to believe what was happening in front of him.

My right hand suddenly started to hurt, and the dark ring had already become colored.

White, a white ring that Yang Junran cannot describe, appears on the middle finger.

A magical scene appeared again, and the shell gun in his hand suddenly became two.

The sound of footsteps in the distance could be vaguely heard. Yang Junran was very nervous. Although he didn't know where he was, he knew that so many people had suddenly disappeared from the Japanese army and would definitely send someone to look for it.

Looking at the colonel who was still closing his eyes, Yang Junran hesitated a little.

He couldn't believe everything in front of him, but the pain in his body told him that all this was not a dream.

The footsteps were getting closer and closer, and Yang Junran was very nervous.

Judging from his experience, there should be at least a few hundred people with so many footsteps.

The colonel suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Yang Junran seriously.

Eight big words appeared again in Yang Junran's sight.

“Mission, honor, responsibility, country.”

Looking at the eight golden characters, Yang Junran already understood a little. Maybe this is the meaning of his appearance.

The colonel's body slowly disappeared, and Yang Junran rubbed his eyes hard, unable to believe all this.

He was smiling at himself, his smile was so desolate.

Yang Junran didn't know what he could do at this moment, so he could only salute the colonel solemnly.

As the colonel disappeared from sight, eight large golden characters quickly drilled into Yang Junran's ring like ghosts.

A strange thing happened again. The five 38 rifles on the ground have turned into ten brand new 38 rifles.

Yang Junran sat on the ground. He had forgotten the dangers. He didn't know how to explain what was in front of him, and he didn't know how to face these things.

He could not explain the phenomenon in front of him with all the knowledge he could understand, but he was exhausted.

The troops in the distance had already appeared in Yang Junran's sight, not the Japanese troops, but the troops in the uniform of the national army.

Yang Junran touched his clothes, but found a letter of appointment.

"Appoint Yang Junran as the Colonel Commander of the Chahar Guerrilla Column. Commander-in-Chihar War Zone Commander Yan Xishan. October 26, 2018."

Looking at this simple letter of appointment, Yang Junran couldn't help but start to worry.

Had he traveled through time, but he could not explain the phenomenon just now, and even he began to express doubts about whether he existed.

The troops in the distance had come over and were cleaning the battlefield everywhere.

A young major came over and observed Yang Junran carefully.

"Report to the commander, Fang Hanqin, the captain of the First Detachment of the Chahar Guerrilla Column, may I ask if the commander Yang Junran?" the major stood at attention and asked loudly.

Yang Junran looked at the major in front of him blankly. He didn't know how to answer the major, nor did he know whether he actually existed.

"Where is this place, what time is it now, and who are we?" Yang Junran asked a very idiotic sentence.

The major looked at the colonel in front of him in surprise, with beautiful eyes and very handsome, with his eyes looking around from time to time. He didn't know what happened to the colonel, and was his head blown up by the Japanese artillery shells?

In order to ensure the correctness, the major took over the letter of appointment in Yang Junran and carefully checked it.

After confirming the error, the major hurriedly said: "Sir, this is Chahar. We are your subordinates. It is December 20, 26, the Republic of China. You have been walking for two months. I really don't know what happened to you."

Yang Junran sat on the ground. He really traveled through time, but it was a magical travel.

At least that colonel exists, and what is happening now is real.

"Captain, it's strange. There is only one squadron of Japanese soldiers here, but there are two squadrons of equipment. What a fucking strange thing." A captain next to him came over, and the other party shouted.

Yang Junran remembered the scene that had just happened to him, and looked at the ten Type 38 rifles beside him, as well as the two thugs in his hand.

Although he didn't know what was going on, he could feel that he had super abilities.

Maybe it is special abilities, maybe it is superpowers, these problems cannot be explained by Yang Junran, even some experts.

"Ji Quan, come here and I will recommend it to you." Fang Hanqin shouted to the captain in the distance.

The captain ran over quickly and stood in front of Yang Junran.

"Commander Yang, this is my first company commander, Captain Ji Quan. He had worked in the Northeast Army before. Later, after the September 18th Incident, he defected to my command and was a general." Fang Hanqin pointed to a man with an extremely tough appearance and said to Yang Junran.

Yang Junran nodded, he was still thinking about something.

The soldiers in the distance were still cleaning the battlefield, and some soldiers gained a lot.

The three Japanese corpses next to Yang Junran also began to be searched by soldiers.

"Baga." A soldier just touched the body of a Japanese army, but was cursed.

Only then did Yang Junran remember that one of the Japanese soldiers was injured by him.

"Hurry, tie him up for me." Fang Hanqin shouted hurriedly when he saw that there were still some living things.

Yang Junran suddenly remembered that the Japanese army had a very strong will to resist in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japan. They would rather die than be captured by Chinese troops.

Looking back, the injured Japanese army looked at the soldiers around him with a ferocious face, but his left hand touched the grenade on his waist.

Yang Junran quickly raised his hand without any hesitation.

The bullet quickly hit the Japanese army in the head, and the soldiers looked at Yang Junran in surprise.

It was not until the soldiers saw the grenades sliding from the Japanese army that they understood Yang Junran’s intention.

Several soldiers walked over with a smile, rumbling over the Japanese army's bodies everywhere.

After several oceans were taken out from the Japanese army's body, they were unceremoniously put into their pockets.

The weapons and ammunition of the Japanese army were specially collected by someone.

Even the Japanese armed belts were not spared.

"Commander Yang, it's very dangerous here. Should we retreat immediately?" Fang Hanqin said with some concern.

Yang Junran slowly stood up. Although he was full of doubts, he knew that he had to retreat immediately, otherwise the situation would be very bad once the Japanese army found himself. Moreover, according to his observation, the equipment of this army was not very good. Except for Major Fang's clothing, a lot of patches had been put on the military uniforms of the other soldiers.

"Retreat immediately, with weapons and ammunition." Yang Junran quickly issued an order.

As for the corpses of his comrades, they are not able to transport them and can only be buried in a hurry.

“Mission, honor, responsibility, country.”

Eight big words kept appearing in Yang Junran's mind, and these words made Yang Junran very confused.

He could not explain the colonel who was exactly the same as himself, but he knew what the colonel expected of him.

That look was not about the desire to help the colonel himself, but about the hope that Yang Junran could save this country, a nation with many disasters.

Thinking of the scene in the picture, Yang Junran felt very sad.

He knew that he could not change the massacre. What he could do now was to quickly expand his armed forces and fight for more Japanese troops. Only in this way can the Japanese army's harm to his country be reduced.

"How many people do you have in total? Are there any other anti-Japanese armed forces here?" Yang Junran was silent for a long time and said to Fang Hanqin beside him.

Fang Hanqin immediately stood at attention and replied saluted: "Report to Commander Yang, three infantry companies under the jurisdiction of Beishi, one machine gun company, eighteen officers and four hundred and eighty-two soldiers. Three detachments under the guerrilla column, the other two detachments are marching. In addition, there are many anti-Japanese armed forces here, but they have no intention of cooperating with us and the report is completed."

Looking at the well-behaved Fang Hanqin, Yang Junran was quite satisfied.

He finally understood why his superiors didn't like him, but liked those obedient students.

At least this will give you a sense of face, unlike myself, which will make your superiors unable to get out of office every time.
