Chapter 55 Thesis

"Think about it yourself. I don't expect you to be wise in the future, but at least you won't make the same mistake again." Zheng Jia looked at Cheng Yuan deeply, then turned around and walked out, and said, "I will choose a suitable construction company for the afternoon bidding."

For Zheng Jia, it is normal for Cheng Yuan to have shortcomings, otherwise it would be too terrible because it would be too unrealistic.

Looking at Zheng Jia's departure back, Cheng Yuan sat on the chair and smiled bitterly. He suddenly felt that the boss was not that easy to be a good person.

"It seems that we need to learn more about this in the future." Cheng Yuan sighed and then focused again on the theory of controlled nuclear fusion.

The process of nuclear fusion is very simple. It is to accelerate a deuterium (read: knife) nucleus with an accelerator and collide with a tritium (read: Sichuan) nucleus at an extremely high speed. The two nuclei merge to form a new nucleus - helium plus a free neutron, which released 17.6 megaelectron volts of energy in this process.

This process is also the principle that the sun shines and heats for 4.5 billion years.

At present, the world's research directions for nuclear fusion are focused on magnetic constraints. The principle of this method is based on the positive charge of the nucleus. If our magnetic field is strong enough, the nucleus cannot escape. As long as a ring-shaped magnetic field is established, the nucleus can only move along the direction of the magnetic line and along the spiral, and cannot escape the range of the magnetic field. At a distance outside the ring-shaped magnetic field, a large heat exchange device is established, and then a method that is already familiar to humans is used to convert heat energy into electrical energy.

However, the nuclear fusion reactor that Cheng Yuan owns is completely different. His theory comes from the movie Iron Man. In the movie, it uses palladium to absorb hydrogen to carry out fusion reactions, which is more advanced!

Because the first step in nuclear fusion researched around the world is to heat the mixture as a reactor to the plasma state, that is, the temperature is high enough that electrons can escape from the constraints of the nucleus and the nucleus can move freely.

Only then can the nucleus be directly in contact, and at this time, a temperature of about 100,000 degrees Celsius is required.

And this is far from enough!

The repulsion between positively charged nuclei requires the nucleus to run at an extremely fast speed. The easiest way to obtain this speed is to continue heating, so that the irregular collision of the nucleus reaches a crazy level. To make the nucleus reach this operating state, it takes hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius.

The last step is to collide the tritium nucleus and the deuterium nucleus at a huge speed without any concealment, producing new helium nuclei and new neutrons, releasing huge energy. After a period of continuous input, when the reactor no longer needs the heating of external energy, the temperature of nuclear fusion is enough to make the nucleus continue to fusion.

During this process, helium nuclei and neutrons will be eliminated in time. New mixed gas of tritium and deuterium is input to the reactor, and nuclear fusion can continue. A small part of the energy generated is left in the reactor, maintaining a chain reaction, and most of it can be output and used as energy.

There is only one problem with this method. Where should we place this reaction body up to hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius?

So far, humans have not created any chemical structure that can withstand 10,000 degrees Celsius, let alone hundreds of millions of degrees Celsius. This is the only reason why humans have not been able to effectively obtain energy from nuclear fusion after 50 years of manufacture.

Of course, the ability of human beings to become the masters who control the earth shows that their intelligence is much smarter than other organisms. The problems that cannot be solved in chemical structure are turned to the physics. This is how magnetic constrained nuclear fusion occurs.

The famous method known at present is the "tokamak" type magnetic field constraint method. It uses the powerful magnetic field generated by strong currents to constrain the plasma to a very small range to achieve nuclear fusion. Although it is close to success under laboratory conditions, the continuous process is not long.

Technically speaking, a turbulence phenomenon will occur during plasma movement. The disordered and irregular particle movement is unpredictable. In Tokamak high-temperature and high-density plasma, there will be a lot of instability. If a probe is inserted into the center of the plasma, instability will be immediately stimulated and the entire plasma will disintegrate.

For engineering, if we want to achieve the ignition conditions of fusion, then in engineering, we need to generate a strong enough magnetic field within a large enough volume, about 10T.

The maximum stable magnetic field that humans can achieve is about the order of 10T. Electromagnets that generate such a large magnetic field must require a huge current, and a huge current will heat up. After the heat is generated, the material will burn itself. Therefore, the largest tokamak project ITER that is being built now uses the superconducting coil method, which does solve the heating problem, but if the coil wants to maintain superconducting, it needs to be soaked in liquid helium.

So you can imagine a scene like this: "In a room, the internal temperature is an ultra-high temperature of 100 million degrees Celsius, and the surface temperature is an ultra-low temperature of a few Kelvin!" The difficulty of implementation in the project can be imagined.

The last difficulty is economical. The money spent on making such a large superconducting electromagnet is definitely hundreds of billions! It’s US dollars!

So the largest Tokamak project ITER is not done by one country at all, but by seven countries that jointly contribute to cooperation. Once the budget exceeds the budget, the number will grow unlimitedly, which may be trillions of dollars, or ten trillions of dollars.

This process depends on the wisdom and creativity of the scientific researchers.

Compared with them, the theory that Cheng Yuan mastered is a complete and concrete technology.

Cheng Yuan could imagine that once the controlled nuclear fusion theory in his hand was released, it would bring about a world-class earthquake.

However, writing a paper is not that simple. What is needed is not only his own discovery, but also to verify with some previous related documents. A qualified paper requires a large amount of literature to be verified, but Cheng Yuan is not clear about this. He is now sitting in front of the computer and weaving the knowledge in his mind into words and then entering it into the computer.

...

In a secret meeting room of the Ministry of National Defense in the capital of China, Colonel Yang Qiaoyuan wore a dark green military uniform and reported to his superiors seriously. "Chief, Cheng Yuan has no intention of exchanging the intelligent core."

"Currently?" Yang Qiaoyuan's boss is a middle-aged man about fifty years old and has a strong face. The man was wearing a military uniform and the shoulders of the general Xing Shi Shi Shuo. He did not feel dissatisfied with Yang Qiaoyuan's words, but instead looked at Yang Qiaoyuan curiously and said, "What do you mean is that little guy Cheng Yuan will do in the future?"

"Yes." Yang Qiaoyuan nodded and said, "Although I don't know why he has to wait for a while, this is his answer."

The man smiled slightly and said, "This little guy is covering him tightly. Since he doesn't want to, it's fine. I will report this matter. You go down first." The man waved his hand to Yang Qiaoyuan.

However, Yang Qiaoyuan did not go out, and he shouted: "Chief, although Cheng Yuan did not agree to our request, he took out another thing and wanted to cooperate with us."

"What?" The man's eyes flashed and he looked at Yang Qiaoyuan with interest.

Yang Qiaoyuan paused for a moment and said in a deep voice: "The leader is graphene. He said that he has a brand new graphene preparation technology in his hand, which is more powerful than any preparation technology today, but he did not give me any written explanation."

Upon hearing this, the man pondered for a moment and said to Yang Qiaoyuan: "Don't publicize this matter. I will report the situation here. The specific situation depends on how the person reacts." The man was quite moved, and at the same time he was more concerned about Cheng Yuan, so he developed an intelligent robot. Now the entire graphene is the whole. Will he enter the energy industry in a while?

The man was amused by his sudden whim.
