Chapter 23(1/2)
The place where I agreed to meet with Lu Chuan was the small garden opposite the school.
When Chuchu slipped out of the house, it was almost nine o'clock in the evening.
Tonight, the night is bright and the stars are mottled.
She took the night bus to the nearby platform to get off, walked through a lively pedestrian street, and hurried towards the school.
The small garden is at a hustle and bustle. The aunt dancing square dance moves with the dynamic rhythm, making it lively.
Chuchu stood by the flower bed and looked around, with some vague expectation in her heart, and was uneasy.
As soon as I turned around, I saw him standing by a row of sycamore trails, wearing a rare and more formal white shirt and black trousers, and his hair was combed very regularly, which was very different from the trendy Lu Chuan I saw at school.
Lu Chuan today is very honest!
Chuchu grabbed the crossbody bag and ran towards him.
Lu Chuan heard the footsteps and looked back at her. She was wearing a light T-shirt with ripped jeans.
He walked in a hurry, his cheeks flushed, and his nose was covered with clumsy black-framed glasses.
It became the first day of school again, stupid.
Lu Chuan reached out to her, and his slender fingertips touched her black-framed glasses. He took them off and asked softly, "Why are you putting them on again?"
Chuchu lowered her head, pointed to the ground with her toes, but did not answer his words.
Since buying contact lenses, Chuchu has been wearing invisible most of the time and rarely wears frames.
Lu Chuan stroked the pair of black glasses and asked lightly: "Do you think it can protect you?"
He guessed that maybe she just wanted to use these glasses to block her heart.
Chuchu calmly took back her glasses from Lu Chuan's hand and lowered her head to put them on.
She noticed that Lu Chuan was holding a white pocket in his hand, containing two disposable lunch boxes.
"I guess you didn't have enough supper, so I packed some meals for you."
Lu Chuan explained and took out the lunch box: "Do you eat it?"
Chuchu nodded, she really didn't eat enough tonight.
For the whole dinner, she sat on the dining table like a wooden man. Even though the table was full of delicious food, she couldn't taste it.
The two of them walked to the bench and sat down. Chuchu smelled the smell of wine on Lu Chuan. She couldn't help but sniff. The smell of wine mixed with the smell of his body, and inexplicably felt it was particularly good.
When Lu Chuan heard her sniffing sound, he quickly explained: "Today, the army had a dinner, and I was pulled by my dad and drank a few more drinks with some uncles and uncles."
Chuchu nodded slightly, murmured, trying to say something, but she didn't say it in the end.
Lu Chuan took out the chopsticks from his pocket, tore them open and handed them to Chuchu.
"If you don't want to talk, stop talking and eat."
Chuchu opened the lunch box, which contained shrimp, chicken legs, beef... everything was like a hodgepodge.
She could even imagine that Lu Chuan was holding a box and picking up food and packing food on the table. As such many elders, he was thankful for...
Chuchu no longer wanted to go down, so she picked up a piece of chicken leg with chopsticks, ate it with relish.
The lips quickly became greasy and shiny.
Lu Chuan touched his bag without tissues, and suddenly remembered that he never seemed to carry tissues with him.
He picked up Chuchu's crossbody bag again, opened the zipper and searched inside, found a tissue to take it apart and handed it to Chuchu.
Chuchu took it over and looked closely. She was so scared that the chicken legs on the chopsticks fell off.
The white aunt scarf in front of him had been half taken off by him carefully and considerately.
She looked at Lu Chuan in shock. He looked as usual and said to her: "I'm full of oil, wipe it quickly."
Chuchu was holding her aunt's scarf and couldn't do anything.
Seeing Chuchu being stunned, Lu Chuan smiled and said, "Why, do you want me to wipe it for you?"
Seeing that he was about to take away his aunt's scare, Chuchu was so scared that she quickly turned around and wiped her mouth randomly, her mind was full of galloping grass and mud horses.
"You bought this tissue quite thick and of good quality."
Lu Chuan also sighed in a nagging manner: "You girls just know how to buy things."
“…”
Seeing Chuchu clean her mouth, Lu Chuan quickly said attentively: "I'll take it for you to throw it away."
Chuchu shook her head repeatedly, snatched her crossbody bag, and stuffed her aunt's scarf in it.
"Why?
Why are you still keeping it? Can you use it again?"
Chuchu put the bag on the other side and stayed away from him: "Don't worry!"
Lu Chuan could not understand her strange behavior, but soon he stopped caring about it. Chuchu pretended to calmly continue to eat, and he continued to appreciate her eating behavior.
One bite at a time, with relish.
"Is it tasty?"
"Um."
"I think it's super unpalatable."
Chuchu shook her head repeatedly. She really thought it was delicious, really delicious, much better than the food at home.
Lu Chuan raised his lips and said softly: "Slowly, don't choke."
He also touched her head.
Chuchu had long been used to Lu Chuan's intimate actions towards her, so she had no mind at all and instinctively rubbed his hand like a cat.
At that moment, Lu Chuan's heart was about to melt.
Chuchu ate all the lunch box brought by Lu Chuan. She felt so full that she couldn't help but burp her.
Lu Chuan smiled, and Chuchu's cheeks immediately blushed. She gritted her teeth and closed her mouth. She put away the lunch box, got up and threw it into the trash can.
He also stood up and said to her, "Are you full?"
Chuchu nodded, she could no longer be full.
"I'm full, go."
He walked side by side with her on the quiet path of the sycamore tree. When the wind blew, the leaves of the sycamore tree fell, covering the long road in front of him.
Chuchu kept lowering her head and frowned, holding on to something.
Lu Chuan glanced at her and said, "If you don't want to say something about today, don't force me."
Chuchu shook her head, reached out to touch her crossbody bag, took out something from the lattice and handed it to him.
With the bright moonlight, Lu Chuan saw clearly that it was a thick stack of shredded paper.
Lu Chuan picked up an irregular piece of paper, put it under the moon and looked at it. It was her painting.
Lu Chuan was angry: "Who broke it up?
I'll beat him up!"
"I myself."
"Well."
The two walked for a while, Lu Chuan held the stack of shredded paper and thought that he could put it in place with glue. Chuchu held it for a long time and wrote a word.
"land."
Lu Chuan was slightly stunned and looked at her.
Under the moonlight, her figure trembled slightly.
"land."
"I am here."
"land."
Chu Chu struggled, but still wanted to talk.
"Lu...Lu..."
The word "chuan" is right next to her throat, but she just can't post it.
"Lu...Lu Lulu..."
Lu Chuan stopped talking. He frowned, lowered his head, and looked at her carefully.
Chuchu closed her eyes. At some point, tears oozed out of her tightly closed eyes, moistening her long eyelashes and slid down her cheeks silently.
"Lu...Lu..."
She bit her lower lip and kept trying hard.
To be continued...
