Chapter 741: Demonstration of Force

With the efforts of more than 30,000 Chinese and foreign skilled workers, it took just over half a month for the outline of the Tianjin Shipyard to appear before our eyes.

"Huhuhu..."

The cold wind howled, and the people who blew it could not help but shrink their necks.

The Academy of Military Science has come up with a design plan for a new type of ship. Once the shipyard is completed, Jiangdong can start producing its own warships and submarines.

Walking out of the noisy construction site, Jiang Dong shrank his neck and said to Ren Guang next to him:

"I'm very satisfied with this progress. As long as we keep this speed, I don't need to go faster.

The weather is getting colder. We should provide some additional subsidies to the workers involved in the construction, especially the Americans. We must let them work hard for us."

The wind was very loud, so Ren Guang raised his voice and answered:

"Commander-in-Chief, don't worry. This is not the first time the National Development and Reform Commission has done such a big project. We have experience!"

Jiangdong nodded, and then left the shipyard with the soldiers from the Secretariat and the Internal Guard.

They did not go back to Peiping directly, but went to the military city not far from Dagukou.

The officers and soldiers of the U.S. Navy are housed here.

Most of the Americans went to the warship to participate in the training. Jiang Dong found Smith he wanted to see in the military city.

The training work is going very smoothly, and Jiang Dong is about to start discussing another matter with Lao Mei.

Smith brought Jiang Dong a cup of hot coffee and asked with interest:

"General, you Chinese people have a saying that you should not go to the Three Treasures Palace for anything.

You came here specifically to see me in such a cold weather, do you have something to say?"

Most people in the United States are straight-tempered, except for profiteers. Jiang Dong took a sip of hot coffee and asked calmly:

"I heard that your government has introduced a bill to prohibit your army and the Commonwealth army from purchasing weapons produced in North China?"

"Yes, there seems to be such a thing."

"Do you know the reason? Lieutenant Colonel."

Smith shook his head,

"I'm just a naval lieutenant colonel, and the information I can receive is limited."

Jiang Dong smiled and did not refute Smith's words.

Being able to travel between China and the United States as a representative of the Navy many times, Smith's identity is not simple.

"Everything you saw in China will be reported truthfully to Fleet Command, right?"

"Of course!"

Jiang Dong drank the coffee in the cup in one gulp. This action made Smith shake his head.

"Lieutenant Colonel, I have prepared a fireworks show. Do you want to go and watch it together?"

Seeing the half-smiling expression on Jiang Dong's face, Smith hesitated.

Chinese people do things in many ways, and the so-called fireworks display is certainly not literal.

After considering it for dozens of seconds, Smith nodded.

Taking a car in the cold and windy weather was still tiring, so Jiang Dong chose to take Smith to Peiping by train.

After getting off at Beiping West Station, a group of people took a bus to the air force training base in the western suburbs of Beiping.

Along the way, Smith just carefully observed the situation in Jiangdong and the surroundings, without asking stupid questions.

"Commander-in-Chief!"

Zhou Yingshan seemed to have known that Jiangdong was coming. After saluting, he asked:

"Do you want to start now?"

Jiang Dong glanced at Smith, who was frowning next to him, and nodded with a smile.

"It's time to start, find us a good viewing position!"

"yes!"

A squadron of fighter jets roared off from the airport and headed straight for the shooting range.

When the fighter planes roared overhead, Smith raised his head in surprise. He seemed to have thought of something and looked at Jiangdong with some horror.

Jiang Dong handed him a telescope, pointed at the shooting range ahead and said:

"Lieutenant Colonel, the fireworks show will start soon. It's very exciting, don't miss it."

Smith subconsciously raised his telescope and looked forward, only to see a black line more than 1 kilometer long appearing on the wide shooting range.

He blinked and adjusted the angle again, only to realize that the black line on the shooting range was composed of tanks, armored vehicles and some trucks.

The fighter planes in the sky seemed to be planning to launch an attack on the armored groups on the ground.

He suddenly became interested, stood up involuntarily, and was highly concentrated.

The fighter planes roaring in the sky were all J-B models, led by Air Force Captain Fei Congan.

Today's training subject is to test the lethality effect of new rockets on ground armor.

Each of the 12 fighter planes was equipped with 6 new rockets and rushed toward the target in a combat-like manner.

The tanks, armored vehicles and trucks on the ground were all captured from the previous battle and were on the verge of being scrapped, so they were used as training targets for the Air Force.

The 12 fighter planes first climbed to a high altitude, and then pretended to suddenly find the target and swooped down from the clouds.

The flexible fighter plane is like a large flying bird and an extremely sharp sword. It dives very fast and with great momentum.

Smith's hands clenched the telescope involuntarily, and his body became tense.

"Whoosh whoosh..."

After diving to a certain height, all the rockets mounted on the fighter plane were fired, and instantly several meteor-like light spots appeared in the sky.

The rocket dragged a long tail flame and smashed into the armored convoy on the ground with a continuous whizzing sound.

"Boom boom boom..."

The tank and armored vehicle were instantly engulfed in flames, and their wreckage was splashing in thick smoke.

A squadron of fighter planes attacked the 1-kilometer-long armored convoy one after another, and a burning fire dragon appeared on the ground.

Rockets kept falling from the sky, and the fire dragons on the ground kept spreading...

The fighter jet dived and then quickly pulled up, as nimble as a swallow.

When the firelight and thick smoke dissipated, there was no trace of the armored convoy on the ground, and everything you could see was fragmented wreckage.

Smith swallowed. This was the first time he had seen such a blow.

As a naval officer, he could not help but replace the armored convoys on the ground with warships on the ocean.

'The battleships may not be able to withstand such a stormy attack...'

Jiangdong was also looking at the shooting range, watching the impact of the strike.

"Well, the power is not bad. I just need to improve the accuracy and continue to strengthen training!"

"Yes!" Zhou Yingshan responded loudly.

This voice pulled Thomas back from the shock. He looked at Jiang Dong and asked:

"General, are you showing force to me or to the United States?"

Jiangdong waved his hand in denial,

"Lieutenant Colonel, this is just a spectacular fireworks display, don't think too much about it."

Smith's thinking is straightforward, but that doesn't mean he's a fool.

After a few seconds, Smith thought of the key, stared and said:

"General, do you want me to report everything I saw today to the Fleet Command, and then influence the bill banning the purchase of arms from North China?"

Jiang Dong glanced at Smith in surprise. It seemed that he didn't need to beat around the bush to explain his purpose.

"Lieutenant Colonel, you can think so.

The fighter jet you just saw was self-developed and produced by North China. It is no exaggeration to say that the performance of this fighter jet far exceeds that of fighter jets currently equipped by various countries.

The arms trade is a vital link in my development. If the Commonwealth countries do not buy my arms, then I can only sell the arms to others.

Imagine that when this kind of fighter plane appears over the English Channel, all the aircraft of the British Empire will turn into fireworks in the sky, cheering for the Third Reich's great march."

"You..." Smith subconsciously touched his waist, but there was no pistol there at all.

Jiang Dong spread his hands,

"On the other hand, if the Commonwealth countries continue to purchase my arms, of course the fighter jets you just saw will also be included.

The British Air Force will gain absolute superiority in the air battle over Great Britain."

Koto did not need to sell his record directly to the Third Reich, he only needed to reveal some key technologies.

Therefore, the blockade by the British and American navies is actually meaningless.

Although it is almost impossible for things to develop to that point, you must not be soft-spoken and must make your threats clear.

The United States can refuse to deliver subsequent battleships to Jiangdong, which may slow down the development of Jiangdong's navy for a year or two.

But if the strength of the German army expands again, the security and interests of both Britain and the United States will be greatly threatened.

Jiang Dong seemed to have given two choices, but in fact there was only one.

Besides, I'm afraid even God doesn't know how much hidden treasures Jiangdong still has.

Smith left angrily.

In his opinion, Jiang Dong was a complete villain. The navy was selflessly helping North China, but Jiang Dong in turn threatened the United States.

After Smith left, Jiangdong inspected the Air Force training base again and did not return to Xiyuan until evening.
