Chapter 258 Eternals join the answer!(2/2)
"Not gods, just a group of immortal guys." Thor said.
"Just immortality?" Tony Stark almost wanted to hit someone after hearing this. "Listen, you are immortal, and you still call it 'just'. Is this what a human would say!"
"I'm not a human being, so strictly speaking, this is not 'human speech'," Thor said.
"I guess they're more than just immortal?" said Stephen Strange.
"Yes, each Eternal has his or her own unique abilities." Thor said.
"Thor, the earth faces so many threats, you still know such a group of people, and you don't tell us?" Steve Rogers couldn't help but say.
"This is not Thor's fault, but that we Eternals will not interfere in human affairs." Circe said, "So even if you know about us, it will be of no use."
"So what exactly are the Eternals?" Scott Lang felt a headache, "And why can't they interfere in human affairs?"
"We boarded the Tama starship and came to Earth from Olympia more than 7,000 years ago to protect the people from mutants." Circe briefly introduced, "We cannot intervene in human conflicts unless mutants appear."
"You were on Earth 7,000 years ago?" This passage revealed so much information that Nick Fury's eyes widened at that time. Fortunately, he had always thought that the Kree and Skrulls were the first aliens to arrive on Earth.
Starman, but now, someone told him in front of him that Renren was on Earth 7,000 years ago.
"So, you've seen a lot of history," Steve Rogers said.
"Yes, we have witnessed almost all major events in human history." Sirsi said.
"Just witnessing?"
"We can't interfere."
"Why?" Scott Lang asked.
"Because if we had protected humans for seven thousand years, humans would never have the chance to develop in their own way." Circe said.
This sounds reasonable. If you think about it, if there are a group of guys with superpowers who are always helping, human beings will indeed be unable to develop.
"You just mentioned mutants, what are they?" Tony Stark asked.
"Don't worry, we killed them all five centuries ago," Circe said.
"If that's the case, why do you still stay on Earth?" Nick Fury asked.
"We're waiting," Circe said.
"Waiting for what?" Nick Fury asked.
"Waiting for the notification that you can go home." Circe said.
"So, what are you capable of?" Stephen Strange asked.
"I can turn stones into water, I can turn stones into wood, or I can turn stones into metal..." Circe said.
"Converting one substance into another?" Steve Rogers summed it up for Searcy.
"That's right," Circe said, "only inanimate matter."
Everyone was immediately disappointed.
Originally, this woman appeared as an old monster who had lived for 7,000 years. She was older than Thor. She gave people the impression that she was amazing. However, it turned out that she had such an ability that she didn't even sound like she had much combat effectiveness.
"How many Eternals are there on Earth?" Phil Coulson asked.
"Ten," Circe said.
"Where are they?"
"I live in London. As for the other people, I don't know." Circe said, "After we deal with the mutants, we will live our own lives."
"Is any of the Eternals more powerful?" Stephen Strange asked.
"The most powerful among us is Ikaris, who can fly and shoot lasers from his eyes." Circe said.
"Isn't this just a replica of Captain?" Stephen Strange said.
