Chapter 1 Juvenile Decision

Xiaoqiu shook the willow whip in his hand, inhaled a warm smell of grass and trees, and made the most important decision in life.

His life was only twelve years and he could not grasp the full meaning of this decision. However, the residents of Yelin Town who were familiar with him knew that this was a stubborn boy, like a little wolf who had just learned to use his limbs and teeth flexibly. Even though he knew that there was a cliff ahead, he had to rush to the edge to find out what was going on, and no one could pull him back.

"I need your help." Xiaoqiu said eagerly, with anticipation in his dark eyes.

In front of him, four young men of similar age squatted on the grass, looking up at Xiaoqiu in a daze. A little further apart, several groups of livestock were eating grass lazily. They were all shepherd boys, and more than a dozen horses were taken care of by Xiaoqiu.

"Do you want to - snatch Fangfang away?" Daliang was Xiaoqiu's best friend, with a kind round face, but he did not show any support at this time.

"Well. It's not about robbing, it's about rescue. Fangfang will voluntarily follow us." Xiaoqiu corrected in an affirmative tone.

"Are you sure?" Daliang looked at the other three shepherd boys, and was even more confident, "What Fangfang told you in person?"

"No, you all know that Mr. Qin will not allow me to enter the school." Xiaoqiu would not lie in front of his friends, "But this is obvious. Fangfang cannot... cannot..."

Xiaoqiu was thinking about using words, and Daliang's younger brother Erliang, two years younger, continued to say for him, "Fangfang definitely doesn't want to marry the Shen family, and she wishes someone would take her away."

"That's the reason." Xiaoqiu shook the willow whip again, "Let's move tonight, two of us are watching outside, and three of us go to the school to find Fangfang. It's that simple."

The four shepherd boys looked at each other, and Daliang pushed the straw hat on his head and said uneasy: "The Shen family is the richest rich man in the town. Most of the cattle, horses and sheep we see are from his family. I think... I don't think Fangfang is unwilling to marry him."

A thin black shepherd boy provided evidence for Daliang's view, "I heard that Mr. Qin was particularly happy to marry the Shen family. The good day tomorrow was chosen by him."

"Mr. Qin is a wealthy fan. He sold Fangfang to the Shen family and collected a lot of silver." Erliang said contemptuously, and his hands showed a lot of gold, silver and treasures.

The last shepherd boy spoke, "Mr. Qin is not a greedy person. His family is an outsider and hopes to gain a foothold in Yelin Town, so he is particularly willing to marry the Shen family."

"Mr. Qin looks like a good person and has given me a name." Daliang frowned and tried hard to recall his official name.

Xiaoqiu was a little anxious, so he simply squatted on the grass and looked straight with the four partners opposite him, without blinking, "We are not talking about Mr. Qin, but Fangfang, she doesn't want to - who wants to marry a fool?"

The shepherd boys shook their heads at the same time. Erliang was more inclined to help Xiaoqiu, and then said: "The Shen family is in their twenties and can't even eat by themselves. They will even beat people if they lose their temper."

The children in Yelin Town have all seen the eldest son of the Shen family. At the same time, they raised their heads and recalled the scene of him chasing him. The black and thin shepherd boy added: "Dasha Liuhalazi from morning to night. Fangfang married him, so why don't he wipe him every day?"

"How is it? Help?" Xiaoqiu asked, feeling very hopeful.

But he was disappointed. When talking about the key issues, all four shepherd boys retreated. Even Erliang, who had been talking to him, lowered his head, as if he was more interested in the ants on the grass leaf.

"Brother Xiaoqiu." Daliang felt a little guilty. He had never rejected any suggestions from his good friend, but this time it was different. "You don't... you still think Fangfang is your wife, right?"

Erliang and others lowered their heads to hold back their smiles, and a chirping sound came from their noses.

Xiaoqiu had a cold face and inserted the willow branches into the soft grass, "What I said counts."

"Isn't that a joke?" Daliang whispered, and found that Xiaoqiu's eyes became more and more stubborn. He surrendered. Although there was a word "big" in his name, he always acted as a follower in front of Xiaoqiu. "Okay, I'll help."

"I'll help, too." Erliang immediately expressed his attitude excitedly.

The other two shepherd boys agreed.

"I'll go home as usual. After dinner, we'll meet on the bridge." Xiaoqiu felt extremely relaxed when a stone fell to the ground.

Time flies. Five teenagers gathered their own grazing livestock and returned to Yelin Town together. They were all passionate about the action tonight. No one proposed a more specific plan, just as Xiaoqiu said, "It's that simple."

Walking out of the woodland and on the small bridge east of Yelin Town, their enthusiasm was hit for the first time.

Er Shuan sat on the bridge railing and bragged and fought with his friends all afternoon, waiting for the first decisive battle for power and status in his life: today he wants to prove that he is the leader of a 10 to 15-year-old boy in Yelin Town.

Seeing the cow and horse walking out of the forest path from afar, Ershuan jumped to the ground, moved his energy, and shouted loudly: "Hey, Xiaoqiu, your wife will marry my brother tomorrow. Are you coming to have a wedding banquet?" Ershuan thought about this sentence for a day in his heart, let go of his throat and shouted, feeling very comfortable.

These are two completely different groups of teenagers.

The five shepherds were surrounded by swarms of pigs, cows, horses, and sheep. They wore straw hats on their heads, cuffs, and legs of pants were rolled up high. Their feet were covered with mud and their skin was darkened by the sun. The six teenagers on the bridge were wearing coarse cloth clothes, but they were all very clean. They had just spent an idle day, hoping to find some fun before dark.

"Don't pay attention to him." Facing Ershuan's provocation, Daliang didn't want to face the challenge. He was hungry now and just wanted to go home to fill his stomach. "Let's take a detour and walk over the river."

Thinking of the evening plan, Xiaoqiu almost agreed to Daliang's suggestion, but the teenagers on the bridge burst into laughter, which made him change his mind.

Xiaoqiu walked in the front, with more than a dozen horses behind him, and Daliang and others followed behind him, but they were still a little afraid of Ershuan.

Ershuan is the second young master of the Shen family. He is not stupid at all. He is tall and big. His slender eyes always warn others in a squint manner: He is not easy to mess with.

Xiaoqiu actually accepted the challenge. Ershuan was very happy. He stood in the middle of the bridge with his hands on his hips. Five friends lined up on both sides of him, completely blocking the road.

"You are blocking the way." Xiaoqiu said in a muffled voice. Behind him, the gentle horses found someone blocking the road, and all stopped and waited patiently for the problem to be solved by themselves.

Ershuan had been waiting for a long time for this moment, and said with a smile: "I'm here to send you an invitation. Your wife will be my sister-in-law tomorrow. Come and say a few auspicious words. I'll ask my father to give you a few copper coins. Oh, where is the invitation, it's still there just now."

Ershuan pretended to touch her body, and her friends laughed. Lengzi, who was half shorter than him but equally strong, spoke up: "Xiaoqiu might have received an invitation from Mr. Qin's house, who made Fangfang his wife?"

The youngest bald man on the bridge laughed so hard that he couldn't stand up. The youngest bald man had just been allowed to join the gang. He was eager to show off and pointed at Xiaoqiu and said, "Your wife... your wife wants to call others husband, haha, Xiaoqiu..."

After hearing enough, Xiaoqiu slapped the body of the jujube horse beside him. The jujube horse was shocked and took a big step forward.

For the narrow bridge and the teenagers in Yelin Town, the red horse is equivalent to a behemoth. The teenagers blocking the road panic and avoid it, and the neatly arranged teams suddenly dispersed.

"Xiaoqiu, this is my horse! You dare..." Ershuan was so angry.

The jujube horse didn't know who was the real master. He jumped out of the bridge in two or three steps, and the horses behind him followed closely. The teenagers could only stick to the railings by the bridge in panic and watch them pass by.

Ershuan would never allow himself to plan a decisive battle that lasted for many days. He had not crossed the bridge yet, so he was no longer so scared. He found the right gap and jumped towards Xiaoqiu.

Two teenagers wrestled on the bridge, and more than a dozen horses turned around on the shore, staring at the scene blankly, quickly lost interest, and lowered their heads to eat the grass on the roadside.

Ershuan is taller than Xiaoqiu and looks stronger, but he does not gain the upper hand in the fight. Even if his friends cheer loudly, he still cannot defeat his opponent immediately.

With a plop, the two teenagers climbed over the bridge railing at the same time and fell into the river.

The river was not deep and had just passed through his waist, but Ershuan was the overlord of the bridge. He was deflated as soon as he touched the water. Xiaoqiu was as flexible as a fish in the river, and completely took the initiative.

Ershuan's friends threatened on the bridge, and none of them dared to go into the water to help.

"bite……"

A sound that the teenagers had never heard before sounded in their ears, so sharp that even their eardrums were about to pierce. Everyone turned their heads and saw that there was a strange adult on the shore more than ten steps downstream.

The weird man was wearing a blue double-breasted robe, his hair was tied into a tall round bun, he was inserted into a long hairpin, with a few beards floating under his chin, and a long sword on his back. Even in the eyes of the most picky people, he could be regarded as a "fairy-like man". However, in the remote Yelin Town, his outfit only looked weird.

The weirdo shook a brass bell the size of a fist with his left hand, making a harsh sound that was not commensurate with the volume.

"Who are you? Why are you here in Yelin Town?" Ershuan stood in the river and asked with a trembling voice. Facing a separate stranger, even an adult, he had never been afraid, but for some reason, the ringtone seemed to have emptied his heart.

Xiaoqiu stood beside Ershuan without saying a word. He regarded the ringtone as an enemy and focused on fighting it.

The weird man put down the bell, took out a dull bronze mirror with his right hand, and slowly shaking the boys, finally pointed at the two boys with wet bodies, settled for a while, and asked, "Is it hot?"

He hadn't spoken for a long time, and the sound in his throat was hard and astringent, as strange as the old bronze mirror in his hand.

Xiaoqiu and Ershuan involuntarily took a step back at the same time. What they were afraid of was not the weirdo and his voice, but the vague bronze mirror, a small five or six inches-like object, as if it could cover the entire sky. The sunlight suddenly weakened a lot. The two of them shook their heads, and they were not hot at all, and they even felt a chill on their bodies.

The weird man lowered his arms, but in the blink of an eye, the bronze mirror and the bell had disappeared, and the expression on his face was a little relaxed and he seemed to be more tired, "stay away from the demons." He said, his eyes turning around, and he seemed to be listening with a tilted ear, as if there were demons hidden nearby, "stay away from the demons." He repeated.

The teenagers were frightened, and even Xiaoqiu felt panic and crawled towards the shore with Ershuan, his heart pounding, and the sun suddenly became hot again, and the wet clothes were extremely uncomfortable when they were pressed against their bodies. They didn't care about these things, they just wanted to stay away from this strange monster immediately.

The duel between the two teenagers ended in a slight manner and rushed to the town. They wanted to tell the adults that a lunatic broke in Yelin Town.

Ershuan and his group were not tied up by livestock, and ran faster. The figures quickly disappeared. Five shepherd boys chased the livestock all the way to the edge of the town. They turned around and looked at the place where the monster had once stood. The people were gone, and no one knew how he disappeared and where he went.
