Chapter 330 Ryan's supporting role

The cool sea breeze blew away the darkness of the night and stirred up countless tiny waves. When the morning sun crossed the horizon and fell on the golden beach, the temporary camp turned from silence to boiling, and crew members emerged from the tent, and under the command of the deputy director, they began a busy day.

The crew was sorting out the sets and preparing props. Two members of the Fiji Environmental Protection Organization kept shouting loudly around them to prevent these guys from Hollywood from hurting every grass and tree on the island.

In the empty space next to the beach, a huge temporary studio was built, and next to the studio was a tent that acted as an actor's dressing room.

This tent is not big, because the crew only has one and a half of the cast, one is Ryan and half is a volleyball ball.

Ryan quickly changed into the costume, wrapped a piece of rag around his waist, and then sat in front of the makeup mirror, allowing the makeup artist to turn his long hair into a messy bird's nest.

Several makeup artists acted at the same time, and some people applied it on his face and body. In a short while, the body with distinct muscles became dirty savages. The most tedious task was to paste his chin and temples with a fake beard as dense as weeds.

Even though these are all Hollywood masters of makeup, it took nearly two hours to finish all this.

"I look more like Mount Tarzan than the modern Robinson who is stranded on a deserted island."

Ryan stood up and bent his arms towards the mirror, with his strong muscles clearly angular, "We may be able to change to the modern version of Tarzan."

"Ryan, Robert is already anxious." George reminded helplessly.

"Okay, let's go out."

Beside the woods beside the beach, several cameras set up on the slide rails have been prepared. The set and supporting role Mr. Wilson stand quietly on the side. Various types of tree props look no different from the woods next to them.

What was about to film Chuck logs and builds a raft and is preparing to leave the deserted island. Due to the owner of the island and the environmentalists, the crew could not really let Ryan harm the coconut trees and bushes, so they had to make a large number of temporary props.

"Ryan, I have to remind you that we are going to catch up with the progress!" Robert Zemikis showed the director's authority.

"I understand, Robert, I promised you yesterday. I will definitely get back in shape today." On the crew, Ryan still maintains the director's prestige, and his release plan puts great pressure on Robert Zemikis.

"Mr. Jenkins, and director Zemekis." The member of the Environmental Protection Organization, named Helen, suddenly came over. "I read the script. You will use fire below. Please prepare for the fire to get out of control."

"In fact, we are ready long ago." The person in charge of the prop group pointed to the fire-fighting team with a total of ten people.

The crew did not delay much time and quickly entered the shooting state.

Looking around several cameras, Ryan was like a savage who had just returned from primitive society. With the help of flames, he waved an axe made of ice skates, put the prop trees down to the ground, and peeled off the tough bark from the smaller shrubs and made it into ropes.

There are not many lines and few close-ups of these scenes. They were specially selected by Robert Zemikis so that Ryan can recover his form sooner.

It has been several months since the last shooting, even the best actor is, it is impossible to get the feeling of the role immediately.

Ryan did not let the director and crew wait too long. After shooting another day of fragmented shots, his performance improved significantly compared to when he first came. Robert Zemikis also led the entire team into a temporary studio and began to shoot some shots in the cave.

"The first act of the forty-five, start now!"

In the dim cave, Ryan bent over and carried the rope taken from the cliff, walked to his only companion, slowly squatted down, and shook the rope in front of the volleyball.

"I got it, it's here." His mood was obviously depressed, "Are you happy when you got it?"

This only companion who will never speak remains silent.

Turning around, Ryan took the dry branches, fiddled with the original fire pit, and added some fuel. The flame gradually became brighter, and he looked at his companion behind him.

"You have to keep mentioning it, can't you forget it?" His voice was extremely low, "Hmm? You're right! We have to keep trying, and fortunately we tried it, because this avoids death."

He held the thin branches and kept stirring the bonfire, as if he was talking to the volleyball behind him, and seemed to be muttering to himself, "In that way, I would fall on the stone, fall on my legs, spine or neck, and slowly wail to death. I had only this choice at that time? When, a few years ago? Forget it, let's forget about this."

As he said that, he turned his head and stared at Wilson blankly, "Do you have any objections? Oh... Maybe we will succeed. Have you never thought about it like this before? No matter what, I would rather go to sea than stay on this deserted island and wait for death!"

However, his companions will never speak or give advice. He will always talk to himself. Perhaps the suppressed negative emotions accumulated over the years suddenly broke out at this moment.

His messy head, which was like a bird's nest, was tightly pressed against the dry red face on the volleyball. He was as excited as a savage, and his tone was getting higher and higher. "I don't want to talk to a bastard volleyball for the rest of my life!"

After saying that, he picked up his only companion and kicked it out of the cave, "You are finally shut up!"

After gasping for a few heavy breaths, he finally calmed down and immediately noticed something was wrong. He turned his head and shouted in the direction of the cave, "Wilson!"

When the sound of passing through came from behind the camera and the lights in the studio were lit up instantly, Ryan was still sitting on the plastic rock, breathing evenly in the slightly wet air, slowly adjusting his emotions.

This long shot with volleyball has been sucked more than ten times. Although this performance does not consume physical strength, it consumes extremely energy.

The process of hell can only play volleyball is really painful, especially when he has to use his own performance to bring about a "supporting role" who has no expression and can't speak.

The entire crew almost revolves around this beach. Sometimes Ryan comes to the state and working overtime becomes the norm. Although many nights are moved to daytime shooting, for increasingly powerful film technology, it is not difficult to switch the background back to the night in post-production.

Since Ryan is the only real actor, as long as his condition is guaranteed, the shooting speed will be very fast. The actual progress of the crew has exceeded Robert Zemikis' expectations, but he did not dare to relax at all and was extremely strict with the crew's various work.

No one knows Ryan’s mind better than him. This movie is obviously aimed at Oscars. Although he won the Best Director Xiao Jinman, who doesn’t want to win the second one? Even if he will face a strong opponent next year.

The combination of work and rest is the king. Ryan knows this well. Even if the crew is busy, he will not deduct the leave he should take at all. He doesn't want to turn himself into the style of James Cameron.

Fiji is located in the South Pacific region and is a famous tourist destination, close to Australia and New Zealand. Every time it takes a vacation, the crew will always travel around, and the relaxation will bring more significant work efficiency.

Ryan stayed on the island, and although James Cameron, who was diving near the Mariana Trench, called to invite him, he was rejected by Ryan.

I don't want to be watched by someone as a savage after going out. Ryan's upper body had already become bronzed when he was wearing a light brown bird's nest. At first glance, he looked like a man of Tarzan.

Besides, he is very tight on time. He has to complete the two scripts as soon as possible and handle some things through a satellite phone.

This is a summer season with a bumper harvest. After two months of accumulation, the box office in North America finally exceeded the 200 million US dollars mark. Pixar Studio's limelight completely surpassed the Disney animation department. John Lasset and others' confidence increased, and they were full of expectations for "Toy Story 2" released next year.

The box office of "Ghost", which was denounced as garbage by countless people, exceeded 100 million US dollars. Although the number of viewers dropped sharply and was facing the danger of being out of stock early, the money they had obtained was enough for Ryan to buy a large beautiful farm for Nicole in Queensland.

There is also "Jurassic Park 2: The Lost World". When the movie's North American box office was close to $250 million, Universal Pictures' ceo Ron Mayer called.

"Ron, I understand your thoughts." Ryan was not moved by his proposal. "But I don't think it's a wise choice to start the third part of Jurassic Park now. Stephen has already said that he will not be in charge of the coach in the short term. Moreover, if the time interval between the two movies is too short, it will bring unexpected changes. We should look farther."

"Yes, it's temporarily stranded. We must maintain the influence of this brand. The development of film technology is too fast now. We have to wait until the new technology matures before starting the third part."

After hanging up the phone, Ryan rubbed his forehead and according to his plan, the next movie of "Jurassic Park" will be a 3D movie.

Well, it's still early for 3D. After all, one of the key figures in the new 3D technology is playing diving in the Mariana Trench. I hope the truck driver will not be swallowed by the prehistoric octopus hidden deep under the sea.
