4th greenskin
Section 4 Green Skin
Half of the beast does have very outstanding vision in the darkness. At least Mimilu's speed is not significantly different from that during the day.
Ashrufat followed Mimilu. The night was exactly the same as the day - it seemed that the night could emit another kind of light that allowed him to see everything clearly. He had originally possessed the ability to see night vision, but now this ability has been raised to a new level.
Another discovery was that he felt his speed had increased. Although it was a relatively slow process, he could now follow Mimilu without having to stop and wait for him. Ash Rufate once thought that Mimilu was slowing down in the dark. But after careful observation, he determined that his speed was increasing.
In front of you, you can see the dense forest at the end of the black hill. The endless forest.
"There is...Mimilu's hometown..." Mimilu accelerated the speed. Ashu Rufate had already had enough of the ghost places like Heiqiu. Any place is easier to walk on than this terrain. Although his body was not tired at all, it was always troublesome to keep jumping up and downhills. What's worse is that his shoes were worn out quite a lot.
This is a beautiful and durable shoe specially designed to meet the Prophet. Before entering the Black Hills, the boots are without any signs of wear.
"It should be almost the same here, where is the horse?" That's it, but Ashu Rufate was a little worried that he would not be able to take his horse through the Black Hills. He didn't know what the relatively smooth terrain of the Black Hills.
"Follow Mimilu...it's easy to find." Mimilu quickly walked through the forest. Ashu Rufat had to trot to keep up. It was already dawn.
"Here...This..." Mimilu ran in front. In the forest, she was on all sides and ran very fast, and her posture was more like a cat.
In fact, this kind of creature should not be called a half beast, it is much more appropriate to call it a cat man.
Mimilu's body suddenly stopped. She raised her head and smelled the smell in the air.
"No...no...there is...there is...the strange...the smell...the bloody...the smell..."
Ashu Rufate also stopped. He didn't smell any smell, but he could feel an inexplicable feeling that made people's heart beat faster. It seemed that his body instinctively felt danger.
Mimilu began to move in another direction. She was no longer rushing forward quickly, but was carefully hiding whereabouts. Her body began to change color as the environment changed. If Eshu Rufate hadn't always looked at her, she would have lost her whereabouts.
"Forward...front..." Mimilu said in a low voice, all the hairs on her body stood up.
Ashurufate also walked forward carefully. This was a small hill, and in front of them was a cliff that was neither tall nor short. Many plants suitable for the shade of trees grew densely, completely covering their figure.
Below the cliff is a gurgling stream, and beside the stream is a considerable open space. A group of alien creatures are gathering on the open space at this moment.
The overall outline of these creatures is very similar to that of humans and also walks upright. They are not tall, and the highest should be the height of an ordinary person’s chest and thin body. They have green skin, very large noses, and various weapons in their hands. Next to them, there are animals like meat balls, just like hunters carrying hunting dogs. These meat balls have a pair of claws for them to walk, and an incredibly large mouth.
Green skin! Ashu Rufate told himself in his heart. This is a group of goblins. In a vague dream, he seemed to have fought with these creatures. This is a dirty, evil and despicable creature, one of the mortal enemies of human beings.
"Master, these things... They are highly intelligent creatures from the planet B-K6, reproduction in a single sex. Although their civilization has developed to aerospace level, they were rejected by the Covenant because of their strong tendency to self-destruct. They are likely to have brought the world and tried to exploit it, but were finally abandoned. According to my calculations, the humidity and temperature of this world are not suitable for them, and they cannot independently develop high technology... Inferred that the possibility of completely extinction of indigenous creatures is only four percent, but it will inevitably sluggish and threaten the development of indigenous civilizations..."
Ashu Rufat couldn't understand what Carrie said, and he didn't ask, because he knew that Carrie always refused to explain, and the reason was always the one "you don't have relevant authority". But he finally understood one thing, these green skins seemed to be creatures from another world. Then again, no one knew the origin of Green skins. They seemed to appear inexplicably.
But one thing is certain, Green Skin is a ruthless warrior and an invader that never stops. It took Saint Genen nearly twenty years to sacrifice countless knights to completely eradicate the Green Skin in the country. It was also in the common war against Green Skin that Saint Genen and Casilos formed a deep friendship and developed to this level today.
There are not many or very few of these goblins, with a total of about hundreds, gathering together and clamoring. Perhaps there are some further away, but they are covered by trees and cannot be judged.
"It's...green skin...our...enemies..." Mimilu said in a low voice.
"Master, these green skins probably fled here after being defeated. You see, none of them are the orcs, the orcs are the leader of the green skins." Carrie analyzed.
Mimilu retreated. Ashu Rufat also retreated.
"Mimilu...can't...continue to lead the way...Mimilu wants to inform...Elder and others..."
"Can I go together too?" Ashu Rufate asked. This matter is much more important than a horse. If Greenskin occupy the Dandeng Mountains, it will become a huge disaster. Because it is difficult for human troops to cross the Black Hills to enter here. However, Greenskin can migrate out in batches and invade the surrounding land endlessly.
"You... are... good... human... elders and they will... welcome... your..."
Mimilu ran in another direction, and Ashu Rufate followed him.
They crossed a hillside and ran forward along a road that was obviously artificially opened. At the end of the road, a village appeared.
Of course, this is not a village for humans. Whether it is buildings or roads, it is too small for humans.
Several cat people (this name is much more appropriate than half beasts) were busy doing something on the side of the road. Seeing Ash Rufate rushing towards this side, they immediately looked alert.
But Mimilu ran faster, and she ran all the way and screamed and rushed over. The cat people blocked her way, and both sides spoke to each other in a very fast language. After a while, Mimilu turned her head.
"...I'm going to... see...the Great Elder...here...wait for me..."
Ashrufat stopped by the village and watched Mimilu run away with her compatriots. The remaining cat man stopped not far away and stared at him vigilantly.
Now he had time to look at the situation of the village carefully. If we count it as a building, it was actually just a small village with no more than a hundred residents. But on the other hand, these buildings—a very low-rise building that looked like a shack, made of wood and soil, and decorated with some pigment—does not seem to be used for living. Because no cat people were seen in and out. In fact, at this moment, he could not see any cat people except this one who stayed here to monitor him.
The cat man seems to live a primitive life. They are not dressed and have some stone tools in their hands. Although he now knows that the cat man is very agile and has almost perfect concealment ability, he is probably not a match for the goblins in one-on-one battles. Especially they do not have metal weapons and armor - he does not think these cat man has the ability to smel metals. If they have relevant techniques and abilities, they will undoubtedly be used in daily life. Iron tools are much easier to use than stone tools.
The Danden Mountain Area has become the last refuge for cats, which is probably related to this reason.
"You are Ashu Rufate." When the sound rang out, he discovered that a cat man had dived to a very close position from him. Before he spoke, Ashu Rufate had not noticed it.
"It's me."
"The Great Elder wants to see you, come with me." The cat man said that human language is very fluent, completely different from Mimilu.
He followed the cat man quickly through the entire village and came to a cave. It seems that the cat man does not live in those buildings, at least not all of them. He just saw many cave entrances. If each cave represents a family of three, then there may be more than 300 cat man in this village.
The cave was unexpectedly spacious, with about twenty or thirty cat people gathering here and sitting in a circle. Mimilu sat in the middle, talking fiercely with others.
"Master, do you need me to translate for you?" Carrie asked.
"No, this is too rude." Perhaps it was because the cat man knew he didn't understand, so he was so public in front of him. And this scene could be guessed without understanding it.
Mimilu should be under trial by the tribe, at least for investigation. You can feel very hostility from the attitude and tone of both parties' speeches.
The conversation finally came to an end. It seemed that Mimilu did not win. She knelt without saying a word, lowering her head, and only her tail was shaken.
"Are you Ash Rufate?" The cat man sitting directly opposite Mimilu spoke. At a glance, he could tell that the cat man was very old: his hair was white and extremely fluffy, his eyebrows almost completely covered his eyes, and his beard hid his mouth tightly. "I heard that you followed Mimilu through the Black Hills from the west. Humans do not have this power."
"I'm not an ordinary person." Ash Rufate replied.
"I am the great elder of the Semu tribe, welcome here. Please sit down."
That's it, but there were no blankets or cushions on the ground. So Ashu Rufate also imitated the appearance of a half beast and sat cross-legged in the spot.
"First of all, thank you for saving Mimilu. Humans are always hostile to us... treat us like beasts or something. We will fulfill Mimilu's promise to you and send a guide to take you to find those horses."
