1558 For whom does the death knell toll 1

"Ukraine is over." Looking at the lost cities on the huge sand table, Borusinov shook his head helplessly. So far, he has worked hard. The Borusinov offensive that the entire southern Russian theatre fought to the fullest has become a complete failure. In addition to being more beautiful in terms of appearance - defeating the Hungarian Legion, both tactical and strategically, Borusinov lost. Not only did he take over the Russian army in the entire Ukrainian war zone, but he even ruined the national destiny of the Russian Empire. Of course, there are not many people who can see this, and there are even fewer people who dare to say it!

What is the situation now? On the northern front, Leopold's army not only rushed across the Dnieper River, but also quickly attacked eastward and southward at the same time. Toward eastward, the Bavarian Legion's striker had already walked out of the border of Ukraine in later generations, with the target directly aimed at a particularly famous place in later generations - Kursk, and the troops heading south also targeted an equally famous place - Kharkov!

And what about the south? The German army landed in Mariupol had occupied the Donetsk region and was preparing to continue to advance north to prepare to join Prince Leopold's troops. Although there was a huge gap between the two troops, unfortunately, the main force of the Russian division was still concentrated in the area west of the Dnieper River. Although the area they controlled was still large, about 100,000 square kilometers, this was of no use. They lost the industrial base in the rear, could not obtain new equipment and supplies, and there were not enough troops to replenish. Most of these troops did not have the opportunity to run out of this encirclement.

Of course, these are all small problems. Even if the remaining 520,000 Russian troops in Borusinov's hands are still small problems, because after the end of this battle, the Russians had lost the capital they had to survive the severe winter of 1913 - grain and coal mines! The entire Russian front was torn apart in the direction of Ukraine and could never be bridged! The entire Russian front was cut into two ends, one section was north of Ukraine, the northern line from Belarus to St. Petersburg, and to the south was the Transcaucasus region!

"Well, it's good. If we can fight like this, we are already very close to the strategic goal of the Eastern Front." The prince said, looking at the staggered front line on the map. It is now mid-July, and the operation of the Leopold Corps in northern Ukraine and the landing Corps in southern Ukraine is about to end. It is already very good that a battle will bring most of Ukraine into control, and the two troops are also approaching the limit of the attack.

However, this time the situation is somewhat surprising. It is not the conditions of the army itself that determines this limit, but because the French have launched landing operations in the Mediterranean Sea. Because without the strong suppression of the Bavarian Legion, the French's actions were still going smoothly. Therefore, in this case, in addition to drawing new troops from the local area, some of the heavy-dressing divisions and air forces deployed on the Eastern Front would also be drawn back.

"Your Highness, what should Borusinov's troops do? They began to shrink their defense lines and planned to break through to the unclosed encirclement in the northeast." Count Kariput asked.

"Eat some and let some go." The prince thought for a while and said. The situation is now. Although the Borusinov legion can no longer pose a threat to the Bavarian legion, there are still more than 500,000 troops! The Bavarian legion now adopts a strategy to occupy as much space as possible, which is why Prince Leopold still wants to divide his troops to launch an attack on the Kursk region.

If we follow this principle, the encirclement network that runs across the entire Ukraine will definitely not be too dense. The biggest feature of the Eastern Front is that the place is too large and the troops are too scattered. In the early stage of World War II, even with better mobility and more German attacks, some Soviet troops can still withdraw. This shows the problem. It is easy to cover some of this, but it is a bit difficult to eat them all, especially in the current situation of troops.

And to be honest, the prince no longer needs to pursue the remaining Russian main forces, and Russia is destined to survive this winter. If as expected, then next year, a red force will rise and fight a war with the Russian old army and the bourgeois regime for several years. At that time, many white troops were the Russian old army that year. The prince believed that he did not need to clear his opponents for others. Therefore, the prince's order to Prince Leopold is very simple. Without affecting his expansion, he should protect his opponents as much as possible, but he should also let some people leave and let them go to the east bank of the Volga River or go north to Moscow.

In fact, in history, before the Russian civil unrest, the depth of the German attack in Russia was very limited. Before the February Revolution, Germany's deepest attack line on the southern front had been hovering west of Ukraine in later generations, such as in Lutsk and Ternopol. This place is actually not far from Lviv, but after the February Revolution, the Germans took advantage of the east wind of Russian civil unrest to attack near Kursk-Milenowo (the latter was slightly easterly in the eastern border of Ukraine in later generations, and in today's Russia) and also attacked Baku in the Caucasus region...

As a crosser, how could Ruprecht be satisfied with recreating the glory of history? The goal of the prince's eastern front is like this, Ukrainian will hit the later Stalingrad (now Volgograd) and at least ensure that the Caucasus-Trancaucasus region south of Stalingrad is separated from Russian control. In the direction of Belarus, the German army must at least attack Smolensk, Kaluga, Orel, and Voronezh, and strive to stabilize the future border on this line.

Of course, it is hard to say how many of these places can be incorporated into Germany in the end. After all, these places are too large, several times more than Germany's local area, and have a large population. If you want to eat them all, it will definitely be indigestion. Moreover, in history, even some parts of the Baltic Sea wanted to deal with it by establishing vassal states. Therefore, in the future, a series of large or small countries will be formed on the German-Russian border, thus serving as a buffer zone for the future German Empire and the red giant beast.

So, before the battle was completely over, Ruprecht had already begun to help the Russians arrange "funrest". If you ask, can you continue to attack in depth? Ruprecht can only say that he would be powerless if he attacked in depth.
