Chapter 31 Joan's Prison
Arthur and his men sat on the luxury beast carriage of Qiong to a huge mansion on the west side of the outer edge of the Imperial City.
The three-meter-high gate tower has carved beams and painted buildings, and the vermilion gate is covered with neatly arranged yellow copper nails. Dozens of imperial guards are guarding the gate.
The mansion is never as grand as that of the Grand Duke of Palmer and Grand Duke of Ross that Arthur had visited before.
The beast driver drove directly into the mansion and stopped in front of the small gate of the second yard.
Joan greets Arthur and the bearded Ranger and get out of the car.
Seeing that the two friends of Qiong had not followed him together, Arthur grabbed Qiong's collar and pulled it over and raised his fist to hit him in the face, "You fool, you left without even saying hello!"
"Let go quickly, there are many people watching next to you? I'll explain to you later."
"What to explain? Just hide your identity and just make a fake name to deceive us in this year?" Arthur still held onto Joan's collar, but his fist never hit him.
"You're wronged me, 'Jong' is my real name."
"What's wrong with that Yegis called you Ulan Jiali?"
"My full name is Ulanjiali Joan Edgeworth. Joan is the name among me. Everyone who is familiar with me calls me Joan. Let it go first, it won't be a good impact for you."
Arthur looked around, from Becky, the bearded ranger to the driver, the guards next to him looked at the two of them with surprise, unable to guess what the relationship between them was. His Eleventh Highness, who had beaten Yegis just now, was now grabbed by someone else's collar and wanted to be beaten, and his begging expression was on his face.
Thinking that this was Qiong's palace after all, he always had to save him some face. Arthur let go of Qiong's collar and clapped himself, still feeling unsatisfied.
Joan immediately arranged a feast to entertain Arthur and the bearded Ranger.
The banquet in the Eleventh Prince's mansion is naturally delicacies, and the jade plates are listed with shame. The wine is also a fine wine that is nowhere to be found in the tavern outside.
But the atmosphere at the table was a bit weird. Perhaps because of Qiong's identity, the three bearded Rangers were a little unwilling to let go, but they simply exchanged some experiences with Arthur in recent years. Arthur also had too many secrets to tell outsiders, and the experience after breaking up with several people in the church was also simply brought by a few words. Qiong smiled and drank as a companion throughout the whole process, and the matter involving his identity and the imperial capital was not mentioned.
After a sumptuous banquet, I'm afraid the only little witch Becky was satisfied, but she didn't have so many secrets or involvement, and she just feasted like a wind and clouds.
After the banquet, the bearded Ranger and Arthur left each other after leaving the temporary residence address in the imperial capital. Qiong arranged for the beast driver to send Becky back to the Kingdom Inn, but only Arthur was left alone.
In the pavilion of the royal palace garden, the sky is red and blue, and there is a bottle of wine in the pavilion.
Joan poured Arthur and himself a bowl of wine, looked up at Arthur, speechless, but sighed softly, then raised his head and drank it all.
Arthur then drank the wine in one sip, wiped the corners of his mouth, and said to himself: "Everyone in the world envies wealth and honor, but he hates being born in the imperial family."
Joan stepped forward and grabbed Arthur's arms and said excitedly: "You actually understand the depression in my heart?"
Arthur looked at the strange flowers and plants in the surrounding garden and said softly: "No matter how beautiful this garden is, it is a prison for a long time, right? I suddenly understand why you would rather be stupid than take risks and do exciting things when you were in the imperial capital. Is your life in the imperial capital a boring?"
