503 Offensive and defensive balance

John Fox is undoubtedly a typical representative of traditional coaches in the NFL league:

After 30 years of hard work, after more than 20 years of polishing and precipitation, he has solid tactical theoretical foundation, rich on-site command experience, proficient in traditional tactical frameworks, sufficient pre-match preparations, and both qualifications and age meet the standards. He was promoted to the head coach.

Team managers, players and fans are more willing to believe in his abilities, giving him enough time to build the team from the basics, and then waiting for the effective combination of theory and practice to usher in the explosion of results.

John Fox can be regarded as one of the standard templates for the entire NFL coaching growth process.

Perhaps, Fox regretfully never reached the Super Bowl, and his on-the-spot dispatch lacks change and inspiration, and he still relies more on pre-match tactical preparations to complete his work. In terms of ability and talent, he cannot compete with Andy Reed and Mike Homegren; but it is not that easy to defeat Fox's team.

This is even more so this season.

The Carolina Panthers found their winning status again, and their record so far has reached eight wins and three losses, leading the National League South District-

Part of the reason is that the Carolina Panthers' opponents are generally in a sluggish state this season, and the value of victory is limited, which is far from being compared with several other strong opponents of Green Bay Packers this season, the Indianapolis Colts, the Tennessee Titans, and the Dallas Cowboys, but victory is strength.

In terms of strength and condition alone, the Carolina Panthers, with eight wins and three losses, are naturally stronger than the Green Bay Packers, with five wins and six losses.

In fact, the Carolina Panthers have truly grown into a top-level team that cannot be ignored in the league. After the 2011 season, the "dynasty" established by head coach Ron Rivera and No. 1 pick quarterback Cam Newton are all popular teams in the playoffs every year.

This also makes the National League South District, composed of the Carolina Panthers, the New Orleans Saints, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, become a death group. The top three teams' quarterbacks Cam Newton, Drew Brees, and Matt Lane are all good players in the league.

Of course, now this Carolina Panthers is also a team with balanced offense and defense.

The quarterback is the 33-year-old veteran Jake Delhomme. He was a rookie in 1999 and has been going around until he joined the Carolina Panthers in 2003. He won the opportunity to play, and grew up all the way, showing his outstanding abilities. In 2005, he even broke out with the Carolina Panthers and was successfully shortlisted for the Pro Bowl.

But objectively speaking, Delholm is just a quarterback with an average pass success rate always maintained at around 60%, and the touchdown numbers and interception numbers have always been comparable. The average score of quarterbacks throughout their career has always hovered around 80.3, and there is still a long way to go from excellentness.

The Carolina Panthers under Fox are more of a team that wins on overall balanced performance.

In the offensive team.

The team has a stable offensive line, with Jordan Gross and Ryan Kalil both Pro Bowl level players.

At the same time, the team has a reliable set of offensive weapons, and running back DeAngelo Williams and wide receiver Steve Smith are also professional bowls in the league, first-team level players in the United States.

Overall, both pass and ground offense have certain abilities, and the lack of explosive power of quarterbacks at critical moments should be the biggest shortcoming.

In the defense team.

Future Hall of Fame-level defensive end Julius Peppers is the undisputed leader. The legendary super defensive superstar won the title of league's defensive rookie of the year in 2002, and then sang all the way, being selected for the Pro Bowl nine times and being selected for the All-American team three times. A series of career statistics are top.

It is worth mentioning that Peppers later transferred to become a Green Bay Packers player in 2014 and played for three seasons in Green Bay. It is admirable that he can still perform stably at the age of 34.

This is a top player with super abilities in both ground defense and previous raids. His existence itself is the most stable and strongest link in the entire defensive frontline.

Linebacker Jon Beason is another star. He is only in his second grade this year, but he has shown the style of a top superstar. His tough performance in half a season has made him one of the top linebackers in the league. His sacks and raids are enough to make the quarterback frightened.

This young player does have super talent and personal abilities. After completing his transformation in 2008, he was selected for the Pro Bowl for three consecutive seasons and joined the first team of the United States at one time. Unfortunately, after suffering from a major injury reimbursed in 2011, Bisson never recovered.

Later, after different teams were ups and downs, they were still unable to recover their peak levels. After the 2015 season, they officially retired.

In addition, Thomas Davis, Chris Gamble, Chris Harris and others are also powerful blue-collar players. Although they are not selected for the Pro Bowl, their abilities are unquestionable.

The Carolina Panthers' defensive front line is very tough, the linebacker and defensive front line have excellent ability to attack the upward steps, and they can put enough pressure on the entire game, which is a huge pressure for any quarterback; while the second-line defense is relatively weak, and it is difficult to form an effective confrontation from strength to state, which will also become a breakthrough for the opponent's pass and attack-

But thanks to the strength of the defensive front line, it is often difficult for the opponent's pass and offense to play stably, which is also the reason why the Carolina Panthers performed so strongly this season.

So far, the Carolina Panthers have lost to the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons respectively. The first two games were completely silent in the offensive stage. The only game where the defensive team collapsed was to face the Atlanta Falcons led by this year's rookie quarterback Matt Lane.

The final score of that game was "28:45".

In addition, the teams defeated by the Carolina Panthers include offensive teams such as the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Lightning, as well as the game that defeated the Atlanta Falcons with a "24:9" strongly in the fourth week of the regular season, and two divisional civil wars against Matt Ryan, winning and losing.
