Chapter 3 Warmth
"Here you come." The boss Li Shou and his second brother Li Fu walked to the table and sat down, took over the bowl, and said, "Today, I picked a flower for my sister on the roadside, and she seemed to like it very much."
Upon hearing this, Zhou turned his head and looked at Li Zaoer who was holding wild flowers, and laughed and scolded: "Although girls like flowers, your girl is not that old yet." While cursing, she was busy helping to add bowls, and also taking care of two young people. The family has a lot of people, and although there is no good food and drink, she also eats very lively.
Li Zaoer was listening to the boiling voices at home on the bed, and felt that she would sweep her caring eyes from time to time. She had never felt this kind of warmth before. She listened quietly for a while, bent her lips unconsciously, and shook the little wild flowers in her hand.
"Mom, my little sister is laughing." Li Fu, the second son who had been dull and silent, suddenly said, causing the whole family to come and see him, and they all laughed: "No, I smiled. These eyebrows must be dignified when they grow up."
Li Zaoer's heart was warm and she couldn't help but grin and made a sound that even she felt strange, but this time, she didn't feel bad at all.
Maybe she was too affectionate, maybe she was just rich but not affection in her previous life. Li Zaoer in this life seemed to feel like she was once in a state of turmoil and did not feel that the conditions here were difficult. She only realized that poverty can become rich, but this kind of warmth is not something that everyone can give.
Enjoying the care that I didn’t have in my previous life, Li Zaoer was already one year old in a blink of an eye.
He was an adult in his mind. Once he could move, Li Zaoer became very lively. He wanted to run away as soon as he could walk, but he fell down on the kang and giggled. The whole family was both happy and worried. What was happy was that the girl was healthy, and what was worried was that the care of Zaoer was injured.
Therefore, one day at dinner, Zhou looked at Li Ji hesitantly, and then looked at Li Ping'an: "I have something in my mind, and I don't know if it's good or bad, so I'm sorry for my father."
"What's the matter?" Li Ji said in a mess while drinking corn flour.
"Now that my family is getting a little bitch, I want to take more work. But Sier and Wuer are not old enough to be a good person. Although Saner is sensible, she is still a boy. If she is not careful, the eldest and second brother have to follow his father to the field. Zaoer is so young and naughty, she can't live without people at all times, and there is no extra staff at home."
After pausing, Li Ji listened carefully and said, "I heard that there is a Wang family in the west village. Before his relative died, his daughter named Xiangfeng. He is eight years old and lost his mother since childhood. Now his father is gone. The Wang family is a kind person, but he didn't expect to go wrong. However, the family really couldn't make a fuss, so he wanted to send the girl to the stable family, not to seek wealth, but only to make a living. I thought, it would be better to raise it when I was young, and when I was old, I would be worthy of the eldest daughter-in-law. A girl didn't have much food, even if she saved me, she would come out. What does Dad mean?"
Li Ji was silent for a moment and asked Li Ping'an: "What do you think?"
Li Ping'an turned around and looked at Zaoer with a doting look and said, "Son listen to my father."
"Then take it." Li Ji took a bite of the sweet potato, picked up chopsticks for Li De, and Li Shan, and said, "There is only one woman in the family who is really busy. Although our family is poor and not well-educated, it is not bad for her mouth. Speaking of which, it is difficult for the boss to find a wife in this way. It would be better to raise her, which will save trouble at that time. I just don't know what kind of temperament that girl is."
"I have already told someone to go to see you tomorrow. If you are honest and willing to do it, Dad?" Zhou asked, adding a bowl of porridge to Li Ji.
"Then I'll take it. As long as you take good care of Zaoer, you won't be able to eat her if you say anything." Li Ji said immediately, then looked at Li Zaoer on the bed and said to Li Ping'an: "You work hard. Even though our family is poor, you can't let your daughter down. Do you think so?"
"Dad don't worry, his father hurts this date so much that he doesn't have a rest at noon. He quickly went to the mountain to cut firewood and wanted to go to the city to sell some copper coins. It's not for this daughter."
The next morning, Li Zaoer was woken up by the busyness at home. He knew that his father was driving down the fields and did not make a fuss. He sat quietly in the kang, with his big eyes turning around and looking at it.
Zhou was putting the dry food for lunch in Li Ping'an's load, and tightened the bag and said, "I don't have to chop wood at noon. When I pick up the Xiangfeng, I took some work to do at home, and then I came out. We poor families, as long as there is no disaster or anything, can eat any food. Think about our dates and Xiangfeng, you have to be careful."
Li Ping'an nodded and responded, and instructed: "That girl is only brought by a smooth personality. If you have any problems, don't let our children suffer."
"I know." Zhou smiled and pushed Li Ping'an out. Seeing him walking a few steps, he suddenly turned around. He thought he had forgotten something, so he asked, "But what has fallen?"
"Not falling." Li Ping'an said, and ran to Li Zaoer in three steps, raised her high above her head, smiled, and said, "Zaoer, Dad is out. Call him Dad."
"Dad, Dad!" Li Zaoer shouted in a silly voice. She originally didn't know when the baby could speak, for fear that it would be strange if it was too early. It was not until Zhou talked about this matter in his spare time and showed a worried face that he dared to say a word and a half.
"I'm scaring my daughter carefully." Zhou smiled and patted Li Ping'an's firm arm: "Okay, why don't you leave quickly."
"Then what, you can't go to the west village, don't starve with dates." Li Ping'an instructed.
"I can reflect on myself." Zhou looked slightly annoyed and pushed him: "How can I not be more careful than you in the flesh that fell off my body?"
Li Ping'an was relieved when he heard Zhou's words. He turned around and smiled, "You bring food on yourself." After saying that, he took his two sons who followed him to the fields to the fields.
Zhou was busy taking care of Li Ji and the three young people, and came over to feed Li Zaoer without mentioning it.
After everything was done, Zhou turned over the box and took a used earth-blue short jacket and put it on, and put a coarse cloth jacket of the same color underneath.
"Mom, it looks good." Li De and Li Shan kept circling around, looking very happy.
Zhou spat and smiled, "Little Boy, what do you know?" He said, "Dad, let me see the fragrant phoenix. Zaoer is hungry. I just had some thin white batter in the kitchen. I've just got some thin white batter. I'm sorry, please help me."
Li Ji walked out of the inner room and said, "What's the hard work for your granddaughter? Go, look is second, and your character must be good."
