There are also trees. In the weak wind, shrubs and thin branches, leaves move slightly and rustle; in the gentle wind, the upper edge of the shrub will swing, the thin branches on the tree will be bent, and the leaves will shake violently; strong winds are the easiest to judge, because a little smaller trunk will be bent, and thick branches will shake violently.

Not only these, but also flags, smoke, sea waves, fishing boats, or heat waves that evaporate on the ground in desert areas, etc., can determine the level of wind.

However, based on experience, the older generation of sharpshooters in the army used gentle wind as a standard for the median value, thus summing up a mantra: the wind is of great strength and is of comparison. When facing the wind, you can open your eyes, listen to the sound of the cry, the smoke in the cooking angular corners, the grass bends and branches sway, the sea surface has light waves, and the sails are tilted. The strong wind is stronger than it, and the weak wind is smaller than it.

Once there is wind, it must be corrected. In fact, there are several formulas to really calculate the impact of wind on ballistics, including the hit rate calculation formula, the cross wind correction formula, etc.

There is an old saying among people who are shooting in the local area: No need to practice one hundred and two hundred, three hundred aim at the earlines, four hundred aim at the edge.
