What is azimuth angle? It is the horizontal angle from the north direction line of a certain point, clockwise to the target direction line. The "true azimuth angle" calculated from the true meridian is the "magnetic azimuth angle"; the "magnetic azimuth angle" calculated from the magnetic meridian is the "coordinate azimuth angle"; the "coordinate azimuth angle" calculated from the coordinate vertical line is the "coordinate azimuth angle".

The so-called azimuth travel refers to the travel method of selecting a route on the topographic map, using a compass, and measuring the magnetic azimuth and distance of each turning point measured on the map to maintain the correct direction of progress.
