Chapter 807 Pilgrimage

Seattle was not hot in May. When Lin Han came out of the airport, he found that there were not many passers-by in the airport.

Although he placed an order with Gulfstream, he had to wait another half a year before he could get the private jet, and the spot plane needed to be properly modified.

The person in charge of picking up the plane was a blond white man. He looked in his thirties and was very conspicuous with a sign with Lin Han's name on his hand!

"You must be Mr. Lin Han. I am Charlie from the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. I will accompany you on the next itinerary. You can ask me any needs."

Lin Han didn't respond much, and he replied, "Charlie, I'm glad to see you. I hope the trip to Seattle will be very memorable."

Every time the person who accepts either a white man or an aunt, there are very few people with devilish figures and angel faces, and they only exist in film and television cultural works.

When Charlie made an invitation, he introduced and said, "Mr. Lin, should we go to the museum or go to the hotel to rest first?"

"Go directly to the museum, I want to visit it."

Lin Han had been resting for a long time when he was on the plane. Now it is a very good choice to go directly to the Science Fiction Museum.

Science fiction is a culture, and it is also a culture with American characteristics. In the past twenty or thirty years, almost all the classic science fiction that people talk about comes from the United States.

Their understanding and obsession with this culture is hard to impress foreigners!

The Science Fiction Museum was invested and created by the famous Microsoft founder Paul Allen. Allen was completely covered by the light of Bill Gates, but he is an absolute science fiction enthusiast and is very obsessed with astronomy and aliens.

Allen said that science fiction is a reflection of human hope, dream, and fear, and he hopes that the newly established museum will help promote people's interest in the exploration of other civilizations.

The car was driving rapidly on the spacious avenue. Lin Han looked at the flashing scenery around him with interest. He asked curiously: "What is the name of that iconic building? It looks quite interesting."

Charlie said while driving, "That's the famous Space Needle, which is the most famous building in Seattle. Our museum is next to the Space Needle!"

Lin Han, who has never been to Seattle, doesn't know much about space needles, but looks pretty good from the outside. "There are some things in the science fiction museum, and I missed such a classic museum."

This place should be the holy place in your mind for science fiction fans. Lin Han feels that he is a science fiction fan and has never known it for these years.

"The museum is actually not very large in scale, especially compared with the Metropolitan and the British Museum, it is mainly divided into four exhibition halls: science fiction history, interstellar journey, future world and aliens. There are more than 1,000 originals in art, film and literature."

Charlie is very proud to speak of it, "No matter whether these collections are donated by Mr. Allen to the museum for many years, there are also donations from all walks of life to us. Among them, the more famous ones are the spaceships in Spielberg's movie "et", aliens and iron warriors, etc."

For Lin Han, this is a spiritual pilgrimage journey.

...

At the entrance is a huge big screen theater, where you can play movies, listen to music, dance, or just stare blankly without doing anything.

Under the leadership of Charlie, Lin Han received a listing from the staff, and also gained a large number of curious gazes!

The staff here all know that Lin Han is an inductee of this year's Science Fiction Hall of Fame. After receiving so many old people, after the old faces, a young yellow man suddenly appeared, and he still felt like he was in a trance.

“Do they Asians really write?”

Although Lin Han had long proved himself with his works, his doubts and contempt had not diminished.

They recognized Lin Han and the movies, but they didn't like Lin Han very much!

Light opens up a territory in the darkness, lighting up science fiction masters, Arthur Clark, Philip Dick...

This wall of celebrities shows all the selected people, and you can see any of them here.

The transparent conveying pipeline is the creation of these masters. Lin Han saw the suitcase in the 1990 movie version of "Comprehensive Memories", the manuscript of Jack Vance's representative work "Face", Ursula LeQionn's "The Wizard of the Earth Sea" hand-painted fifth, and various types of typewriters, etc.!

Lin Han gently touched through the glass. He was a pure latecomer here. These science fiction masters used their brilliant imagination to weave the dreams of countless people.

"Almost all the exhibits in our pavilion are originals, a small number of fixed exhibits are donated, and the other part is borrowed from private collectors. These exhibits will be replaced constantly, like a river that never resembles them."

After hearing this, Lin Han suddenly raised his head, an old man with white hair and beard standing aside in a suit and a cane.

"I am Brian, the director here, and I'm very happy to see such a young and energetic newcomer joining the Science Fiction Hall of Fame!"

Lin Han reached out to shake Brian, and he said, "This is my honor. I am actually under a lot of pressure to stand with so many science fiction masters."

The wrinkles on Brian's face were intertwined, "Now let me take you to visit our museum, where excellent works donated and rented by science fiction enthusiasts all over the world."

Charlie stood behind Brian very consciously, while Lin Han looked at him like a curious baby.

"Our museum has precious first-printed versions and also attaches great importance to new paperbacks. We want everyone to know that science fiction is vivid and life-like. When you walk out of the exhibition hall and go to the bookstore, you can buy books that are the same as our exhibits."

Along with Brian's words, Lin Han's eyes were firmly attracted by the series of books with his name printed on it. I don't know when, those of them had been regarded as exhibits long ago.

In addition to various classic science fiction, many other computer-processed pictures are surprising, the space dock where the spacecraft sails, the deep universe shining with stars, and the outer space scene through the model porthole...

Hanging in the center of the hall is a sphere-shaped projection screen developed by the National Oceanic and Meteorological Administration. Science fiction is often shown here to welcome guests. Now on the screen is Lin Han’s first true movie, "Immortality"!

Lin Han also saw many works by acquaintances here, the Mars rover used by the protagonist in the movie "Mars Rescue" to communicate with the earth, the dinosaur model and operation panel in "Jurassic Park"...

Every exhibit has a great origin, and each one contains the progress of science fiction culture. Lin Han was fascinated by it!
