Chapter 197 Secret lift off

The black Volga sedan is moving slowly in the morning traffic in Moscow.

I finished the phone call early in the morning and sent the medals. When I took the bus to Moscow Domodedovo Airport, it was already around 10 o'clock in the morning.

In the huge airport waiting hall, Long Yun, dressed in ordinary clothes, and his accompanying agents were mixed with the crowds coming and going, heading towards the far boarding entrance; just like the arrangements when they came, the agent also told Long Yun that they planned to take a civil flight to Krasnodar in the Caucasus region, and then transfer to the 237th Fighter Aviation Regiment's headquarters.

On the way to the airport, Long Yun had already communicated with the agents around him and knew that the situation in the Caucasus region is quite tense, and the Americans were in heavy military service in Turkey and Iran. Although there has not been a large-scale ground contact between the two sides, they have been fighting in the sky.

Long Yun actually doesn't know much about the Caucasus. This land thousands of kilometers away from Moscow seems to be farther away in his thinking than the actual distance.

However, as an important barrier to the southern Soviet Union, he could still understand the impact and criticality of the Caucasus on the entire war situation.

During the two world wars decades ago, no large-scale war broke out in the Caucasus, but in such an East-West war that affected the entire northern hemisphere, it had become one of the focus of the confrontation between the two major camps.

The reason for this is probably related to the Americans' complete siege of the United States back then; after solving the Communist Party of Greece and Turkey, NATO simply included these two countries in the collective defense circle of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. In fact, Americans are quite clear about what kind of goods Turkey, which has experienced decline and bourgeois revolution, was to bring them into the group, of course, to encircle the Soviet Union from the south and strangle the only sea outlet of the Black Sea.

Now, when the war really broke out, this place has finally become a place where military strategists must fight for; and Long Yun is about to go to service, the 237th Fighter Aviation Regiment, which was stationed in the suburbs of Stavropol, not long before the war started.

Of course, Long Yun still lacks a considerable understanding of this team with a glorious history; but now his mind is not on this, but imagining the Su-27s fighter that he will be assigned to. This beautiful and elegant heavy fighter is also the top work of Soviet military aviation technology in the real world. Now he is of course very curious and is looking forward to flying this kind of aircraft one day earlier on the battlefield of the Caucasus.

Just thinking about it, walking, and when Long Yun came to his senses, he realized that they had inadvertently left the noisy crowd and walked into the narrow aisle next to him.

——Where are you going?

Long Yun's first thought was whether this agent would have any problems; but the conscious snooping technique immediately made him feel at ease, knowing that this was the KGB's scheduled arrangement.

Perhaps because he discovered Long Yun's doubts, the agent approached him and whispered, "Comrade Lieutenant Colonel, I will tell you now to keep it confidential. We don't plan to let you continue to take the passenger plane; - Please come with me."

"OK."

Long Yun felt that there was no need for such an elusive and unconventional arrangement like the KGB; but thinking that they did not know his superpowers and could recognize the people around him who were ill-behaved in one go, it was completely understandable to take such strict security measures.

Soon, following the agent through the empty building walkway and downstairs to leave the huge terminal building. Long Yun and the others took a seat in another Lada business car with dark windows in the parking lot not far away.

Under the protection of two KGB agents, Long Yun left the Domodedovo Airport that he had just arrived. He drove on the tortuous route for half an hour before coming to a military airport near Moscow, making some preparations before flying here.

When he received his flight suit and equipment in the pilot's preparation room, Long Yun was obviously a little puzzled: this is clearly the preparation work that only the pilot needs. Could it be that he would give him a fighter plane and let him fly to the Caucasus by himself?

Even if it is a trump card, it won't happen like this, right?

I was puzzled like this until he approached the airport apron and saw the plane he was really going to take this time: a large fighter jet with a free and easy appearance and a bumpy nose, which was the su-27ub he was quite familiar with.

"Hello, comrade Lieutenant Colonel!"

Next to this huge fighter jet, a medium-sized and sturdy pilot greeted him; with a loud voice, he was already wearing a flight suit, holding his hand on the boarding ladder, and waved to let Long Yun go up and sit down first.

OK, is this the 237th Regiment sent to pick up its own plane and pilot?

While thinking about this, Long Yun shook hands with the pilot in front of him, and only by introducing himself did he realize that this was not the case.

The KGB, who likes to go around the corners of the service, is a coach-type Su-27 specially transferred from the aviation regiment stationed in the suburbs of Moscow. The KGB personnel specially arranged to fly the plane and send him to the front line. By the way, the ace pilot can familiarize himself with the driving control of the Su-27 as soon as possible so as to form combat effectiveness as soon as possible.

At the same time, after peeking into Long Yun through consciousness, he knew that at this time, someone who looked like him had already performed a missed boarding at the airport using Victor Rezenov, which was a farce that was furious. Since he "cannot board" the flight to Krasnodar, his whereabouts should still be a secret at this time.

Time was limited and there was no more communication. Long Yun said goodbye to the KGB personnel who accompanied him, and jumped into the back seat of the su-27ub's relatively spacious cockpit. He didn't have time to take care of the large number of instruments in front of him, and immediately remembered that the back row should be the coach seat, and then he crawled out and sat in the front row with a little awkwardness.

For the Su-27 in front of him, his identity is a novice, and it should be more reliable to be in the student seat.

"Haha, comrade Lieutenant Colonel, it's okay. Su-27 flies almost like MiG. I think you will be fully familiar with Cāo work soon."

Hearing the pilot's kind encouragement, Long Yun felt a little embarrassed, and waved goodbye to the KGB agents standing in the distance.

After Anton Longyun sat down, the pilot sat in the cockpit and closed the hatch, completed a routine take-off inspection, and activated two engines, the wide-body Su-27ub gradually began to slide, lifted up lightly, and left the military airport outside Moscow.
