Three days and two nights later, Xiao Shiyi and his family appeared at Yangping Railway Station. At this time, Yangping Railway Station was very far from the city and was very dilapidated. Yangping Railway Station is a first-class national station, and it should be built better and bigger no matter what. However, Xiao Yitian knew that if nothing unexpected happened, the new railway station would not be completed in Shangxiba, which is closer to the city, until about ten years later, the end of the century.
After leaving the train station, I squeezed into the only bus No. 1 to the city. After nearly an hour, I finally arrived. As soon as I got off the bus, I saw Xue Mufeng standing on the side of the road. It turned out that it was Xiao Yitian's grandmother who knew they were back today, so she asked Xue Mufeng to come and pick them up.
When she returned home with a joke, Xiao Yitian hugged her grandmother and intimate her for a while. Not only because she hadn't seen each other for more than a month, but also because she could now sort out her meridians and look for opportunities to treat her grandfather. In this way, including the grandmother of Yanjing, the three old men can live for more years. Maybe they can live for a long time and see their future success.
After a day off that day, then the next day the three of them went to the school to report. Xiao Shiyi and Xue Muyun thought that the last transfer order must have been invalidated for so long. Who knew that not only did not invalidate it, but also upgraded. Xiao Shiyi was transferred to the Business and Technical School as the vice principal, and joined the party on the front line. He also served as the party secretary of the school’s party committee and also as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Yangping County Commercial Bureau. Xue Muyun was transferred to Yangping County Jialing Middle School as the director of the teaching and secretary of the school’s Youth League Committee.
After spending a whole day in school and dealing with those curious little kids, Xiao Yitian learned the news when he returned home. Although it was different from his previous life, he had no worries because he knew his parents' abilities. In addition, they also graduated from Yangping Normal University and had a wide network of relationships in the education industry, so there was no problem in holding such a position.
My parents were promoted and their income increased accordingly. The family's living conditions were greatly improved. Xiao Yitian's pocket money also increased from the past Friday to Monday and Friday. In this era, one-five yuan was still quite a sum, and it was only three cents to buy a popsicle, and a better cream popsicle was five cents.
However, Xiao Yitian did not use the money to buy snacks. He was already an adult in his soul and was not interested in snacks. Apart from the local specialty Queen steamed cold noodles, nothing could attract him. This steamed cold noodles was the food he loved most since he was a child in his previous life. Even if he had been wandering outside for many years, he wanted to eat the first thing he wanted when he returned home.
There is also an allusion when it comes to this Queen steaming cold noodles. As the name suggests, this snack has something to do with Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history.
According to Yangping County Chronicles, it is said that Wu Zetian lived in Yangping, which was called Lizhou when she was a child. Because she liked to eat noodles in a noodle restaurant, the noodle restaurant owner liked this cute little girl very much. However, eating hot noodles in the hot summer made the girl very troubled. The noodle restaurant owner came up with a way to solve this problem. He crushed the rice into slurry, put it in a steamer to steam it, and then took it out and spread it on the chopping board, cut it into thin strips with a knife, then put it in a bowl, and then mixed it with the noodles to eat.
Because steaming cold noodles can be eaten hot and cold, it avoids the pain of eating hot noodles in summer and is deeply loved by Wu Zetian. It is precisely because the snack is related to the Queen Wu Zetian, it is also known as the Queen Steamed Cold Noodles. This snack that has been passed down for thousands of years is still loved by the people of Yangping. It is even more unique that this snack can only be made in Yangping. People in other places have tried to make this snack, but it has never been successful. It is said that because the water quality in Yangping is highly alkaline, it just makes the cold noodles the most chewy after steaming out. Since the steamed cold noodles of Yangping are made of rice, it is different from the cold noodles made of flour in other regions.
When steaming the cold noodles, use high-quality rice as the raw material. After washing the rice, soak it in clean water for a day, add 1/10 of the rice, then grind it into a moderate slurry, put it in a steamer with a stir-fry cloth to steam it. After steaming, pour it on a table with sesame oil or vegetable oil. After it is cooled, cut it into strips.
This cold noodles are chewy and refreshing, and have a variety of ways to eat. The most common way to eat them is: put the cold noodles in the bowl, add soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chili pepper, chili oil, sesame oil, sugar, pepper noodles, garlic water (garlic paste + clean water) and other seasonings. After stirring, there are 5 flavors of sour, sweet, numb, spicy and fragrant. It is full of Shu flavor and is very popular among Yangping people. Eat it in the summer and eat it in the winter! It tastes sour, sweet, numb, spicy, fragrant, appetizing, refreshing, and has a strong taste.
Steamed cold noodles are often confused with cold noodles and cold skin, and in fact they are different delicacies.
Speaking of this, we have to mention the modern debate about the birthplace of Wu Zetian. Many people believe that she was born in Wenshui County, Western Jin Province, while people in Yangping and even in Western Shu Province insist that Wu Zetian was born and raised in Yangping, which was called Lizhou in ancient times. Xiao Yitian was a little meaningless about this debate, but after checking the relevant classics and materials, he also agreed with the "Yangping Birth Theory". The most important thing is that he also discovered that contemporary literary master, historian and archaeologist Guo Moruo went deep into Yangping in the 1960s and inspected Wu Zetian's birthplace in detail. He read the old and new "Yangping County Chronicles", inspected Zetianba and Huangze Temple, wrote steles for Huangze Temple, wrote couplets for Zetian Palace, and made up for the Guangzheng Monument. Finally, he came to a very positive conclusion.
When he was arguing about the birthplace of Wu Zetian, he first quoted Li Shangyin's poem "Lizhou Jiangtan Works". After analyzing the poem, he wrote: "Lizhou in the Tang Dynasty, which is now Yangping County, Sichuan Province, can be seen that Li Yishan, who was only 140 or 50 years away from Wu Zetian's death (705 AD), is a sure thing that Wu Zetian was born in Yangping." "Only 1450 years apart, it is not far from the age when we were Hong Xiuquan. Wu Zetian and Hong Xiuquan were both emperors, just like our intellectuals, we all know that Hong Xiuquan was born in Hua County, Guangdong. Do intellectuals in the Tang Dynasty, like Li Yishan, still know that Wu Zetian's birthplace?"
Mr. Guo also refuted those who denied that Wu Zetian was born in Yangping. For example, a comrade named Chen Zhen wrote an article titled "Also talk about Wu Zetian's birthplace and origin" (Guangming Daily, May 24, 1961). There is a passage in the article: "In the year when Wu Zetian was born - the seventh year of Wude, her father, Wu Shisheng, should have been judged by the Minister of Works of the Sixth Secretary, which means that it was in the capital Chang'an at that time. Therefore, the most likely place of birth of Wu Zetian should be in Chang'an, the capital at that time, and unlikely to be in Yangping or some other place in Western Shu.
.” Mr. Guo refuted the article and wrote: "This is based entirely on assumptions (please note the two words "全" in the article), so the conclusions drawn are ambiguous. The so-called 'maximum possible' or 'unlikely' actually means that both are possible and impossible. I don't think such a conclusion has refuted Li Yishan's statement at all. Therefore, on the issue of Wu Zetian being born in Yangping, I still believe in Li Yishan, who has only been one hundred years since Wu Zetian's death, and I dare not easily believe in comrades who have been one thousand years since Wu Zetian's death. Please forgive my stubbornness."
Guo Moruo was a literary master of the generation and a famous modern historian. He was knowledgeable and proficient in history, so Xiao Yitian believed even more that he was the judgment that "Wu Zetian was born in Yangping".
