Chapter 216: Virtue and Virtue

"Master, you're awake!" Zhao Bin turned around in surprise, looked at An Yi and laughed.

An Yi nodded, looked up at the sky, and asked casually: "How long has it been since I entered into meditation?"

"It's not long, just a quarter of an hour has passed... Uh... Master, you just confirmed that you are enlightening the truth? Why are you so fast?" Zhao Bin's expression was very confused, and even doubted whether he had read it wrong before.

An Yi shook his head slowly, just as he was about to explain that enlightenment is not divided into time, but in a moment there were tens of thousands of years, he suddenly noticed that Tang Yuanwai had already arrived ashore. The little fox didn't know where he ran, so he raised his eyebrows and said, "Let's talk about this later, let's talk about what's going on now? Where did the little fox go? Also, who did you just say you want to teach a lesson?"

Zhao Bin didn't care, and briefly introduced the previous situation, and then said, "That person surnamed Tang is so annoying. Whether he realized the Buddha or not, it would be wrong to throw so many treasures into the river. If it is really like what Master said before, wouldn't it be a disaster for millions of lives?"

"So? Are you going to be a hero?" An Yi's tone was a bit weird.

Zhao Bin's face turned bitter and said, "Master, don't you speak in this tone? It sounds terrible!" An Yi smiled and said, "Don't mess with this useless, just tell me if you plan to be a hero!"

"Yes, of course, yes." Zhao Bin felt relieved when An Yi's tone returned to normal, "Didn't you say that Tang Yuanwai doesn't have magic power yet? If he doesn't teach him a lesson at this time, he will have no chance in the future."

An Yi's mouth twitched. Zhao Bin wanted to learn all his skills! However, his heart still softened. After thinking about this, he raised his chin in the direction of Tang Yuanwai. He said to Zhao Bin: "It's just the use of teaching a lesson? Although Tang Yuanwai is a pseudo-Buddha, as long as he is given ten or eight years, crushing you to death is like playing, aren't you afraid of him taking revenge?"

Zhao Bin asked in confusion: "What should you do, Master?"

"What should I do? Of course, I will kill the weeds and eliminate them! I will directly destroy him before he grows up. This will save him from taking revenge in the future." An Yi's voice was faint, but Zhao Bin felt a chill invade his heart and stammered: "This... isn't good... He will not kill him..."

"Those tens of thousands of lives are called sin and death?"

"But isn't all this just a hypothesis?"

An Yi sneered: "Since you have to teach him a lesson for a hypothesis, why can't you kill him?"

"This...that..." Zhao Bin was speechless and changed several times in succession. Finally, he said to An Yi with a bitter face: "Master, I'm wrong, I will never dare again..."

"Where are you wrong?"

"We shouldn't just rely on a false suspicion, and almost cause a disaster..."

"Fart!" An Yi interrupted without waiting for Zhao Bin to finish speaking, "You are not a monk. Why are you angry?"

"Then why did you speak in that tone just now? It's so scary." Zhao Bin's expression was very aggrieved.

An Yi glared at him with a grudge and shook his head and said, "What do you know? I just want to remind you not to put yourself on the righteous and moral commanding heights of everything you do. No one is more noble than anyone else..." After a pause, he continued, "Just like you said before, 'You should not have a rash thought of anger just by just one doubt'. This means that you wanted to teach Tang Yuanwai a lesson before, but you just wanted to teach him a lesson this time, instead of what you said for the people who might die because of him."

Zhao Bin blushed and looked embarrassed after hearing this. Thinking about it carefully, he seemed to be like this.

An Yi smiled and comforted: "You don't have to be ashamed of yourself. In fact, people in this world are basically for themselves, especially those who practice Taoism, who have only Tao except yourself. There is nothing else except Tao. The reason why I tell you this is to make you recognize yourself, rather than live with a hypocritical mask!"

"Yes, Master." Zhao Bin bowed to the teachings. But after thinking about it, he found that something was wrong: If everyone said this, since people do everything for themselves, what kind of merit is there? But...

But don’t you want merits, no matter whether you are immortal or Buddha!!!

If you do everything for yourself and not for the people of the world, where does this merit come from?

How can you become an immortal or a Buddha without merit?

Or...

Zhao Bin suddenly thought of a possibility and looked at An Yi and asked, "Master, what do you mean is that the immortals and Buddhas have done wrong in doing good deeds and seeking merits?" But as soon as he finished speaking, he discovered something wrong first, and shook his head and said, "It shouldn't be like this. After all, they are not fools. If they really have no effect at all, why do they still insist on doing good deeds and earning merits?" After saying that, he looked at An Yi with a puzzled look on his face.

An Yi smiled and said, "Your suspicion is not without reason, but it is fundamentally wrong. That merit is indeed useful for the immortals and Buddhas, but it is useless for the great way..."

At this moment, a few terrifying shouts suddenly came from the big ship in the middle of the river. The two of them looked around and knew that it was the little fox making trouble inside, so they simply stopped paying attention. Turning back, An Yi continued: "In fact, merit is a reward from God to kind-hearted people, but merit is actually no different from karma. Doing things that are beneficial to the people of the world will increase merit, and doing things that are harmful to the people of the world will reduce merit. And whether you have the intention or have no intention, this merit will fall on you, which is equivalent to the Heavenly Way posting a task to you. If you take it and complete it, then merit is equivalent to the Heavenly Way's task to you..."

"So is this just a deal?" Zhao Bin's head was covered in black when he heard it, especially after An Yi nodded, his forehead was dark.

Should you be so simple and crude? How can everything be involved in transactions? Was you a businessman before practicing?

Even businessmen cannot measure everything by transactions!

However, although Zhao Bin complained, he understood what An Yi said. Even though he felt it was reasonable, he still had doubts in his heart: "You said that this merit is useful to the immortals and Buddhas, but it is useless to the great way. What does this mean? Aren't immortals and Buddhas practicing Taoism?"

"Immortals cultivate the way of heaven, and Buddha cultivate the way of Buddhism, but no matter whether it is the way of heaven, the way of earth, the way of Buddha, the way of demon, or the way of humanity, they are actually just branches of the way of greatness..." An Yi was not stingy at this time. He explained his understanding of the way of greatness in detail to Zhao Bin. In fact, this is because the reason why he was able to comprehend the way of Buddha is due to his previous analysis of the way of Buddhism. If it were not for Zhao Bin, he would not be able to analyze that passage. Whether there is a destiny in this way is not to be discussed, but An Yi regards it as a simple transaction. Now, it is just to wake up Zhao Bin, and it is just to complete the transaction. As for whether Zhao Bin can comprehend, it depends on his own destiny.

Just as An Yi was explaining, the little fox on the boat was having fun, relying on his magic power, he played the three mortals who were left on the boat crying and calling for their parents.

The screams spread far to the shore, causing a commotion among the crowd.

Mr. Tang looked not very good-looking, and he looked at the big ship in the middle of the river and remained silent. The middle-aged man in official uniform next to him saw this and asked his subordinates in a deep voice: "What's going on?"

"After Master Chen's words, I don't know this little one!" The official on the side said innocently.

"I don't know why don't you go check it out!" Lord Chen glared and said, "Now organize a few people immediately. Hurry up and find a boat to take a look!"

"Yes, yes, yes, go here, go here..."

Lord Chen nodded with satisfaction, and when his subordinates took the order and left, he turned to the outsider Tang, saying, "Don't worry, layman, I have sent someone to check!"

"Thank you, Lord Chen." Mr. Tang clasped his hands together, his eyebrows and eyes lowered, and there was no sign of happiness or anger. Lord Chen didn't care at all. He nodded and smiled with a spring breeze on his face, as if he had done something extraordinary.

This expression made others see it and they can't help but wonder. I wonder what this official is doing to be so flattering a monk who is not a monk.

An Yi just finished telling the difference between the Great Dao and the Immortal Buddha. Seeing this, he couldn't help but raise his eyebrows and keep silent.

Zhao Bin was still immersed in what he said, and did not pay attention for a while. After a long silence, Zhao Bin was dizzy and raised his head and said in confusion: "Master, what did you say just now?"

“…”

"What kind of heaven, real, human, waterway, avenue?"

“…”

"Don't monks all talk about following the heavens? Isn't heaven the way of heaven? Where did the great way come from?"

"...One way to pass on three friends, two sects interrogate and analyze. How could it be that only the only thing is to go straight...uh..." An Yi said suddenly, and suddenly realized that the sect seems to exist only in the world of the Gods. It is really rare to mention other ancient novels.

After a pause, he thought it would be easier to say it in another way. He smiled and said, "Let's not talk about favorable things, but only talk about merit. I believe you also know the saying "The superior virtue is not good, and the inferior virtue is not bad"?"

Zhao Bin nodded and said, "I know, this sentence is from Chapter 38 of the Tao Te Ching. The original text is 'The upper virtue is not virtuous, so there is virtue; the lower virtue does not lose virtue, so there is no virtue'."

"Do you know what this sentence means?"

"Uh... it should be said that people with 'upper virtue' do not show external virtue, but actually have 'virtue'; while people with 'lower virtue' deliberately show external inseparable 'virtue', so they actually have no virtue?" Zhao Bin's tone was a little uncertain.

An Yi nodded after hearing this, then shook his head and said, "What you understand is the superficial meaning of this sentence, but this sentence is proposed separately. It must be combined with the following text, "The superior virtue is inaction but cannot do it; the inferior virtue is inaction but cannot do it," and "The imperfection is inaction but cannot do it," and "The imperfection is inaction but cannot do it," and "The unfaithfulness is in fact only when the ruler is inaction but cannot do it," and "The unfaithfulness is in fact the first thing that is chaotic, and the chaoticism is in fact the first thing that is,"

"'The superior virtue is not virtuous, so there is virtue; the inferior virtue does not lose virtue, so there is no virtue. The superior virtue is not in action but cannot do it; the inferior virtue is not in action but cannot do it but cannot do it.' This statement means that people with superior virtue follow nature without intention, while people with inferior virtue have the intention to act, and those with inferior virtue have the intention to act, and those with unintentional will become 'virtue', so 'then you lose the truth before virtue is virtuous, and those with virtue will become 'virtue', so 'then you lose the truth before virtue is benevolence, and those with unconventional will become rituals.''A ritual is the weak loyalty and trustworthiness, and the head of chaos'."

"The virtue that can only be obtained after losing the Tao is lost, and then benevolence is needed after losing the virtue is lost. Only then need righteousness is needed after losing the benevolence is needed, and only then can we be polite. And etiquette is the product of insufficient loyalty and trustworthiness, and it is the beginning of chaos. Therefore, true virtuous people do not have the so-called "filial piety, fraternity, benevolence, righteousness, loyalty, faith, integrity, integrity, etiquette, etc., just as Zhuangzi said, "If a saint dies, the great thieves will not stop," the root of chaos in the world is not the robbers who rob families, but the saints who customize "benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, loyalty, and faith."

"In the world, there is yin, there is yang, there is benevolence, and there is politeness, there is 'inappropriateness'. If people in the world are naturally inaction and are quiet and obedient, there is no need for such constraints as 'benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, loyalty, and faith', the world can still be governed greatly. For example, in ancient times, there were no words from Confucius and Mencius in the world, but there were fewer people who committed crimes than now. This is why people in the world adhere to the Tao and inaction."

"So people who truly have 'virtue' do not need 'virtue' and naturally do nothing, and they are great virtues..."

After hearing this, Zhao Bin nodded with some insight and said, "So we shouldn't do anything?" After thinking about it, he said, "Just now, Tang Yuanwai's love will do whatever he wants. It has nothing to do with us. We don't do anything. This is the right thing to do?"

"Of course not!" An Yi glanced at a hidden figure in the crowd with a faint look, and said with a smile: We are people with Taoism, so we don't have to worry about whether we have virtue or not. Everything just needs to stick to our original heart and do whatever we want, so..."

"Since we don't like this Mr. Tang, of course we have to kill him!"

"..." Zhao Bin was shocked.

Should I be so mean???

Do you want to be so cruel!!!

In the distance, the figure who was swept by An Yi's eyes frowned. I don't know if it was discovered that he was discovered or because of An Yi's words... (To be continued)

ps: Thank you Li Xiaogou, Qu Jinyuan, 000 Xiaoyue, Naisheng, Lao KK, forgot my future evaluation, rewards, monthly tickets... (I thank you all before the integration, probably nothing is missing)

Actually, I was scared by a book a few days ago. I posted a gift that was more than the original pages. I was so angry that I abandoned it. Who is it? It completely affects reading! (Okay, it's jealousy). But I really don't plan to post it anymore, so I've been delaying until now, but I can't pretend I didn't see it, and I'm confused...
