Chapter 1 Luo Kee Noodle House

On rainy nights, the city always exudes a sense of desolation and loneliness.

The Luoji Noodle Restaurant, which is sandwiched between the signature shops on both sides, looks inconspicuous and low-key. Through the window, you can see that the store is very empty at the moment, with only a slender girl tidying up the table.

The girl is not tall, with her long black hair tied with a ponytail, revealing her slender and graceful neck lines. She is a simple gray T-shirt and blue jeans, and a pair of clean-painted white canvas shoes on her feet.

Luo Wanwan packed up several tables in the store and saw that Master Xu of the kitchen was standing at the back door and smoking to relieve fatigue. Aunt Liu, who was doing odd jobs, washed the dishes and placed them, so she poured two glasses of water to the kitchen.

"Tanwan, it rains today, there should be no guests. Why don't you go back early?"

Master Xu looked at the rain that had not stopped outside and urged Luo Wanwan to go home early.

Luo Wanwan nodded in agreement, but when he returned to the front, he looked out the window, thinking in his mind that the person might not come today, right?

Although Luo Wanwan is only in her twenties, she is the owner of this Luoji Noodle Restaurant. This store was run by her father Lao Luo. However, after Lao Luo passed away unexpectedly, she took over the store and continued to run the noodle restaurant where her father devoted her efforts.

Although Luoji Noodle Restaurant is very small and can only hold six small four-seater tables, it is located in the city of CBD with every inch of land. There are many high-end office buildings around it, which makes Luoji Noodle Restaurant a bit special.

The reason why Luo Wanwan did not close the noodle shop after his father passed away was because his father used this noodle shop to support her, and after operating it for several years, many old customers couldn't bear to leave this.

Although white-collar workers wear bright clothes and go out to high-end office buildings, those who are careful in budgeting will not choose to dine in the surrounding high-end restaurants, but will instead choose the cheap Luoji Noodle Restaurant.

There are also taxi masters who will come to Luoji Noodle Restaurant to eat a bowl of noodles when they are hungry to soothe themselves who are hungry.

In short, although the store in Luoji Noodle Restaurant is small, it is the hottest store nearby. People often queue up at the door of the store when it comes to meals.

Luo Wanwan often thanks for the store after her father passed away. She was busy in the store, which made her feel like her father had not left her yet, and she felt fulfilled when she had something to do, and her sad mood eased a lot.

The person Luo Wanwan was strictly considered a beggar. He was not very old and looked like a fifteen or sixteen years old. He probably was as thin as a bamboo pole because he couldn't eat enough before.

But the boy was not as dirty as other beggars on the street, and his face and hands were washed clean, which made Luo Wanwan feel a little curious when he saw him wandering around the door of the noodle restaurant for the first time.

At that time, Luo Wanwan had just handled his father's funeral and came to the noodle shop to check the situation. Seeing the boy wandering around for a long time, he felt soft and he made a bowl of noodles and asked him to come in and eat.

The boy was not polite, and he looked hungry for a long time when he was eating noodles.

After he finished eating the noodles, he wiped his mouth and asked Luo Wanwan: "You are Uncle Luo's daughter, right? Why didn't Uncle Luo come for many days?"

When Luo Wanzhan heard his father mention it, he felt ache in his heart. He took a deep breath and suppressed the bitterness that surged up.

"My dad... has passed away."

Luo Wanwan's voice was low, and when he saw the boy listening to her words, he opened his mouth in surprise. He was probably very surprised and didn't know what to say.

However, Luo Wanwan adjusted his emotions and asked why the boy was so familiar with her father?

The young man explained the friendship between him and Lao Luo clearly in a few words. Luo Wanwan was not surprised at all. Lao Luo was kind-hearted and sympathized with the weakest. Seeing that the young man often wandered around this area and refused to beg like other beggars, he gave the young man a bowl of noodles every day.

"Uncle Luo is a good person."

The boy's expression was faintly sad, but he did not comfort Luo Wanwan like others, which made Luo Wanwan feel a little more comfortable.

"From the future, you will come to eat noodles every day. My dad will leave, but I will continue to open the noodle shop."

Luo Wanwan didn't inquire about the boy too much. Since Luo helped him selflessly, she would just take over her father's class and continue to take care of this "unordinary" beggar boy.

The boy looked at Luo Wanwan unexpectedly, and then his bright eyes were smiling with a curved smile, looking very happy. He thought that Uncle Luo had passed away and his free noodles were about to fly away every day.

Therefore, Luo Wanwan waits for the boy to come to the noodle restaurant to eat for free every day. The boy tells Luo Wanwan that his name is Song Shuhan, and Luo Wanwan calls him Xiaohan.

Xiaohan comes every day, but it's past eight o'clock in the evening today, and he hasn't shown up yet. Luo Wanwan couldn't help but worry.

The clock on the wall was about nine o'clock, and the rain was getting heavier. Master Xu urged Luo Wanwan to go home again, fearing that it would be unsafe no matter how late it was.

Although he was a little worried about Xiaohan, Luo Wanwan knew that waiting was not a solution, so he asked Master Xu and Aunt Liu to close the store early, so he put on a raincoat and left the noodle shop and walked home.

Luo Wanwan’s house is not far from the noodle shop. It is a ten-minute walk. It is an old residential area that has been around for the past. It is not dangerous to have street lights along the way.

The community where the Luo family lives is the last disharmonious existence in this prosperous scene. I heard that it will be demolished in a few months, and the landlord has informed Luo Wanwan that he can only rent it before the demolition.

Thinking about the place where he settled after the demolition, Luo Wanwan walked home quickly along the wet road.

There were no pedestrians on the road at this moment, but cars came and went. When Luo Wanwan passed by an alley, he heard a cry for help in the sound of rain.

Luo Wanwan stopped and reached into her pocket to touch her phone. She did not rashly enter the dim alley, but just tried to squint her eyes to see clearly that object was lying on the ground not far from the entrance of the alley.

It happened that a car passed by, and the headlights shook, which made Luo Wanwan see clearly Xiao Han's raised face lying on the ground.

Luo Wanwan hurried over to check, Xiao Han, who was lying in the rain, was bleeding from his head. Washed away by the rain, and new blood seeped out.

"Xiao Han, what's wrong with you? Can you hear me talking?"

Luo Wanwan wanted to help Xiaohan up, but although Xiaohan was thin, he was a tall boy after all. Luo Wanwan was less than 1.6 meters tall, so it was really difficult to help Xiaohan, who was distracted.

Helplessly, he could only pat Xiaohan's face hard, trying to regain his mind.

Perhaps Luo Wanwan was shooting hard, Xiao Han took a sudden breath and recovered some sober.

"Sister Want... Go quickly and call the police..."

Seeing Luo Wanwan, Xiaohan said something anxiously, so he pushed Luo Wanwan's hand away and told her to leave quickly.

Luo Wanwan was about to ask Xiaohan what was going on, but when he saw Xiaohan looking at the entrance of the alley with horror.

"Not good! They are here."

Xiaohan struggled to get up, trying to keep Luo Wan stubbornly behind him.

Although Luo Wanwan couldn't figure out what was going on now, Xiao Han was seriously injured and someone came again. Then the person who came must be not a good person.

The situation was urgent, Luo Wanwan exploded with potential and dragged Xiaohan into the alley. When he saw a large iron trash can, he helped Xiaohan and stuffed him in no matter how hard he was.

He also stuffed his cell phone into Xiaohan's hand and told him to call the police quickly. Then he closed the lid of the trash can and mustered up the courage to walk towards the entrance of the alley.

As soon as I walked to the entrance of the alley, I met three or four men wearing black raincoats, and they were obviously not good.
