Reprinted: Fishman Family Portrait(1/2)
The fishman is a biped, amphibious, fish-like creature living on the coast, lakes and riverbeds. The fishman has a fat and round body, a huge mouth full of sharp teeth and sticky skin. There are many different types in color, ranging from turquoise to dark gray, and their height is about 3.5 to 6 yards.
Although the fishman is relatively new in the Eastern Kingdoms, more and more people have accepted the fact that they are actually very old races. These creatures migrate inland little by little from their seaside settlements, and in order to survive where their ancestors did not have access to, they have even adapted to freshwater lakes and rivers. Although they continue to migrate to more places in Lordaeron, they are often considered intellectually depressed, mainly because their vague guttural voices make their language almost incomprehensible. But the weapons and bizarre combat abilities they use reflect their sinister racial intelligence. (W3Man139, 140)
Fishmen tend to settle in densely populated coastal areas, and it is rare for fishmen who are lost to their compatriots. Adventurers who expect to fight with fishmen should be wary of their surroundings, and these creatures are usually hidden in places that are invisible underwater, as their large-scale societies often attract unexpected enemies.
Hunting fishmen is usually profitable. The soup of fishmen's fins is a very delicious delicacy. The sticky fishmen scales can be made into exquisite leather armor by skilled craftsmen. Fishmen, like many aquatic creatures, carry various clam shells and pearls. In addition, the government often pays high rewards for fishmen, which is attributed to their serious threat to coastal trade and fish spots.

1. History
Most of the history of the fishman is unknown, and most of their oral expressions are composed of rote and difficult to pronounce ancestor names. The fishman speaks aquatic language, which is also used by the lobsters. There is an example that can prove that the fishman can understand more complex language, that is, the meeting between the fishman wizard and Thrall when the tribe stopped in the Broken Islands. Most of the knowledge about fishman that is recognized by people now comes from observations of them in the wild.
Much of the knowledge about the fishman can be easily observed by any adventurer: they are not one of the smartest creatures in Azeroth, but the spiritual leader of the fishman can show that they seem to have a strong affinity for natural spells. They tend to live in densely populated camps and villages on the coast. It is known that on some occasions, the fishman worships mysterious sea gods (sometimes even Nagas). Most importantly, they seem to be hostile to most intelligent races.
Although the fishmen have been known to the night elves of Kalimdor for some time, the relative fishmen are still quite fresh in the Eastern continent. Legend has it that fishmen are actually very ancient races in this world. They are at least as old as the first Naga, because it is well known that those snake-shaped creatures enslaved a group of fishmen living in the deep-sea, and those fishmen are called "Mogur". (See the subspecies in the Mogur in the latter section)
Now, the fishman has become an unconscious promoter of the formation of a new tribe. The fishman's attack on the attack on the Dark Spear Troll tribe angered the orc chief Thrall and his warriors. The orcs immediately repelled the fishman who came to rob, and later the tribe and the Dark Spear Troll formed an alliance that has been maintained until today. This orc-troll alliance is the core of today's tribe. The Taurus, Forgotten and Blood Elves later joined them.
2. Culture
"When facing these high-tech products produced by advanced civilizations, those black sand fishmen cannot show the curiosity that existing human-like civilizations should have." - ClopperWizbang, Explorer Association
2.1 Village
The villages of the Fishman are made of some broken branches and mud, and there is no plan. There are no fires, clean roads, and no fortifications in the Fishman village. The Fishman huts are natural and simple, with no other characteristics except the representative shallow pools behind the shamans' houses. Most huts are supported by long legs to prevent floods and tides.
In sharp contrast to its original exterior, most fishman cottages have exquisite decorations inside. Some are decorated with forked corals, some are inlaid with Bakers, and surprisingly tapestries woven from dried seaweed. The cottages usually have no walls and support the ceiling with tiny wooden pillars. Fish people sleep in water or on straw mats made of seaweed, which are woven firmly to maintain their shape, but their gaps are so loose that they look like a small rectangular net. (Mysterious Earth 136)
2.2 Process
Fishmen rarely use iron tools and hardly touch fire. They are skillful sculptors, carving stones, Baker, coral and wood into amazing crafts. For example, a realistic carving of water tiger fish is carved from a small piece of coral. The shaman's staff is also a work of art: many bones and Baker are embedded in the teeth, fins and claws of various marine creatures that the residents on the ground have basically never seen.
The black sand fishmen on the Blood Misty Island are famous for their stone statue carvings. They do not trade these artworks, but sell some raw materials such as Baker or seaweed. It is said that sometimes after completing a good deal, the fishmen will give their artworks to the objects they trade with. (Mysterious Land 136)
2.3 Language
Fishmen usually only speak aquarium. Some fishmen who learn other racial languages are for trading raw materials such as shells and seaweeds with other races (Mysterious Land 134-138)
3. The Dead
According to the conclusion of the Pharmacists Association, the fishman can still retain his consciousness after becoming a dead soul. It is not clear whether it is the physical reason. It may be because of a natural resistance to the will of the Lich King, or it may be that the fishman is freed from the great suffering like the forgotten.
4. Distribution
Today, the fishmen have spread to many places in the Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdo. In Kalimdo, fishmen generally live on the inland lakes and the eastern coasts, and a few tribes parade between Tedashir and the Black Coast. In the Eastern Kingdoms, the fishmen have flooded to a level of horror that can be found on almost every shore and inland water.

5. Subspecies
Mutantmurloc
Mutant fishman is a new species recently emerged from unknown creations under the vortex. These creatures are more cruel than their brothers. They hunt humans and other creatures for fun rather than sacrifice them. Mutant fishman enjoys the pleasure of bloody activities and victim pain. Many mutant fishmans last for several days while eating their victims, carefully preventing them from dying soon. More powerful mutant fishman uses healing spells to prolong this entertainment time.
Although the fishmen are multiplying on the rugged coast of Kalimdona, a mutated tribe has begun to appear in recent months. Although the cause of this strange mutation is unclear, many believe that an unknown evil is awakening under the vortex of rage. The mutated fishmen are so depraved that their behavior of enslaving their own compatriots has long been known. (W3Man143)
mour'gul
(We have only seen them in the Ice Peak Throne, they are the low-level troops of Naga - the fishman slaves)
Mogul is a humanoid creature with thick wart-shaped skin, webbed claws at the end, and spherical humanoid eyes. A row of pointed teeth stick out from their frog-like mouths, and their backs are covered with protruding spines. These creatures were once fishmen, but were cursed and twisted by the power of the Burning Legion. Mogul would be happy to capture humans and fishmen, and they would question and eat the victims. They breed in large numbers in the ocean, climbing onto passing ships and killing everyone.
Mogul and mutant fishman are obviously different, they originate earlier and are stronger. These Moguls are combined into small groups, often but not always connected. These groups steal from each other, and Mogul often raids the nests of hostile groups to plunder each other's eggs as their own food. Mogul will organize them in a spontaneous way, usually when they raid humans and fishman. If these raids are weak, they are very likely to be of the same tribe.
Start with the action. Mogul is as he goes, and they do not even have a certain boundary. The nests are temporary and are usually used to imprison prisoners or mating. They only equip the equipment they are suitable for use and carry, although a temporary nest will store a large amount of treasures snatched from the victims. These savage creatures are only afraid of one race: Naga from Nashata. No matter how violent they are, Mogul has superstition and fear of the magical power of Naga.
Mogul will use any advantage to attack the enemy, and they will initially use the net to conquer the enemy. They will flock to divide the enemy into small pieces and then erode them on the battlefield. More powerful enemies will be lured into the water by them, where they have a greater advantage. Before attacking the ship, they will tear the bottom of the ship and destroy the rudder. Mogul can breathe in air or water. They prefer and are suitable for underwater life.
The Naga of Queen Azshara enslaved many Moguls and regarded them as cannon fodder and coolies.

Squiddic
Invasive in Chiji Mountain Zhishui Lake
Situated in the Red Ridge Mountains surrounded by mountains, Zhishui Lake is a quiet and beautiful place to cultivate - if it were not for the increasing threat from the burning plains in recent years. The spotted sunfish produced there is a world-famous delicacy. They are always in short supply in hotels in Lakeside Town. Such deliciousness also attracted a large number of fishmen to live in the east of the lake, and they occupied all the fishing spots of spotted sunfish in the eastern part of the lake.
Squiddick is the strongest fishman in the tribe. He catches and eats almost three times the fishman every day. It is a big threat to the fishery in Lakeside Town, because if it continues like this, people may not be able to enjoy this delicious food in a year. However, it is not such an easy-to-handle role. Since the fishermen who went to clean it up last time, everyone in the town has changed their fear.
Old MurkEye
Inhabited in the western wilderness of Long Beach
The oldest and most powerful fisherman in the western wilderness! The entire Long Beach belongs to him, and he has two right-hand assistants, the two brothers Slack and Brack. Although they are old, they are still cruel and bloodthirsty and their strength cannot be underestimated.
Lao Wuyan has committed countless evils throughout his life. The most famous tragedy in the past two years was the Long Beach shipwreck and the family of the Lighthouse Manager. Dozens of humans died in this incident. At that time, Lao Wuyan and its fishman had scared away the lighthouse administrator's family, but the administrator remembered that if the lighthouse was not lit at night, it would cause the passing ships to run and run, so he turned around and wanted to light the lighthouse before the sunset.
Unfortunately, he was one step late. That night, the shore was pitch black. Captain Grisson and his Break Waves hit the reef because they had no guidance from the lighthouse. 20 people, including Captain Grisson and the first mate, were killed on the spot. More than 30 surviving crew members were killed by the fishmen when they escaped on the shore. The administrator's family was not aware of the matter at the time. Shortly after the shipwreck, they returned to the near the lighthouse and ran into the fish people who were killing them. They were not spared.
The incident shocked the people in the western wilderness, but the government refused to send troops to clear out the fishermen on the grounds of external troubles. The People's Army also had no time to look west because of the harassment of the Brotherhood. A few days later, the lighthouse in the western wilderness suddenly lit up again. According to legends from fishermen who went out to sea to catch fish, the person who is taking care of the lighthouse is Captain Grisson who cannot rest his eyes.
Threats on the coast
Leave the old blind scales to Captain Grisson next to the Western Wilderness Lighthouse.
When my life ended on the rock, I had no idea what the world would be like after death. The lighthouse was dark that night, because the old blind eyes scared away the administrator's family. They had already escaped, but they came back that night to light the lighthouse, but Lao blind eyes raided the lighthouse with a group of barbaric fishmen. This time, the whole administrator's family died helplessly in front of me... If you see the old blind eyes on the coast, kill it and bring it back to me, I will reward you
Slark
One of the two German assistants who appeared in the western wilderness of Long Beach, Brack's brothers, manage Long Beach in the north, is known as the "Terrible Slack". He is slightly inferior to his brother Brack, but because of his tenacious spirit, he is appreciated by the Old Bayan. Be careful that the travelers fighting him are not only from him, but also from the countless fishermen under his command.
Brack
Inhabited in the western wilderness of Long Beach
One of the two right-hand assistants of the old blind, Slack's brother, has a weapon that has three blades. He runs very fast. He is known as the "Running Brack" and manages the southern Long Beach. Whenever the fishermen or farmland there are attacks, you will see a huge blue-purple figure leading his group of subordinates who are not afraid of death, that is the "Running Brack"!
