Those who advocate the inner sage and the outer king, Emperor Gaozu of Han and Emperor Taizong of Tang, all their actions are out of human desires. The king and ministers value profit but not righteousness. How can they be compared with the three generations?"

Li Yong's words revealed the desires of nature, principles, humanity, and righteousness and profit in Neo-Confucianism.

The laws of nature can also be regarded as righteousness, and human desires can also be regarded as profit desires, so the fundamental reason is still the theory of righteousness and profit.

Li Yong was also very smart in his debate skills.
