Chapter 1568 Shanghai Petrochemical
The Kra Canal has finally started construction. According to the designer's estimates, there are also various experienced engineering bureaus who have entered, especially the blasting effect some time ago. The project progress is quite smooth. It is expected to be completed in up to 8 months. This is 3 months in the morning, and the fastest is probably around 6-7 months. Winter is still a relatively suitable construction area for the tropical Kra Canal area. At least there is no impact on typhoons, and there is less rainfall. If you do not use this time, in the summer next year, when typhoons are dense, even if typhoons are rare on the Kra Canal, it is not suitable for construction.
Not only the designers and the others are very clear about this, but even the construction team knows that those who have participated in the North-South Water Diversion Project, especially the Kiel Canal expansion project, are quite familiar with these. Even if the new methods used in the Kra Canal this time use directional blasting to speed up the construction speed, the most critical opportunity is that the construction team must seize.
They are all very mature construction teams, and almost the most experienced construction teams in water conservancy construction have been drawn, and even a few construction workers in important water conservancy hubs have been brought over, which shows the central government's attention to it. Therefore, the construction tasks have been broken one by one, and under the premise of a large amount of lighting, the roar of machinery and blasting sounds have been heard one after another. In the first 15 days, the construction volume was completed for a minimum of 25 days, and the speed of improvement was quite obvious.
As early as the beginning of industry, China was considering three major system projects. In actual operation, it accumulated a lot of experience. These were also used to this. To follow the general construction, if the speed of a section of construction is far higher than that of other sections, labor waste will inevitably occur. However, in the Kara Canal, this does not exist. There are at least 40 professional personnel and 200 large computers. Adjustments are made every day to ensure that every machine, even every construction team, has an attendance rate of more than 80% for each machine, and even every construction team. Don’t underestimate this. For large projects, at some point, the attendance rate can be guaranteed to be 40% on average, which is already a very amazing coordination ability. Without scientific coordination, many machines will be busy on the road, and the waste of engineering volume, and people are even more so.
Take the expansion project of the Kiel Canal that just ended before the war. As for, because it is located abroad, China simply used a coordinated method and did not use parallel engineering and standardized operations. The final average attendance rate reached 48.5%. In this way, the attendance rate has crushed the entire Germany and is even very fast in the world. The expansion project of the Kiel Canal was completed by at least 12 months ahead of the specified time, and the data in various aspects has been increased several times.
As for the current Kara Canal, everything goes well. As long as winter begins, there will be no large-scale changes in the entire Kara area. For example, some catastrophic weather or long-term rainfall will be completed before the specified time, 6 months or even 5 months. There is no big problem. This not only saves time greatly, but also expects that the overall standard will be improved by a higher level.
This is the new technology. Although the explosion is not the first time to be used in engineering construction, it is the first time on the canal. It is diversion from north to south, and excavators are used more to dig up enough canals with the help of the huge role of the machine. However, the Kara Canal is different. It is no longer water, no longer windsurfaces and inland ships, but a real ocean-going giant ship. This is one of the most powerful forces on the sea that carries tens of thousands of tons or even tens of thousands of tons.
Wang Rongmin attached great importance to the Kra Canal. After he started construction, he stayed near the Kra Canal for at least 10 days and saw that everything went smoothly. Professional designers and parallel personnel were watching the construction of the project. There were no problems. He could not get involved in these professional things. At most, he could only command the overall situation, such as providing help in funds, materials, or manpower. After 10 days, everything reached a new level and no longer needed to control it, he returned to Bangkok. There were many things that needed to be done in Central and Southern Province. The construction speed of the Kra Canal was constantly accelerating, and it was even put into use earlier than expected. Then other supporting projects must be accelerated.
Port construction and railway construction are not a problem. For Chinese construction teams, as long as enough personnel are invested, this problem can be solved. This is not difficult. However, the other two projects must be accelerated. The construction of steel bases can be temporarily suspended. After all, the railways and ports from Theoshui have not been completed yet. The materials may be transported on a large scale one or two months after the Kra Canal is completed, at least to a certain extent. Even after the renovation, it will be small-scale production and there is no need to speed up.
However, another important project, petrochemical project, must be accelerated, and the warehousing project is progressing quite smoothly. The 30 million tons of storage project has been carried out to a certain extent. As long as the canal is connected, the oil entering the Kara Canal can be stored in the storage project. Whether it is for transshipment or for subsequent use, it is very convenient. According to the current output of 14 million tons per month in Baku, it will only take more than two months to fill these storage.
Warehousing cannot make money, and even costs a lot. Only by letting it work together to transport oil to refining companies can the economy develop. Even if it is just the initial cracking, cracking out gasoline, diesel, and kerosene, the most basic petrochemical products, is enough to allow the port to continuously obtain profits.
This is a virtuous cycle and a necessary path for the development of Central and Southern Province. But now, the spread of the Kara Canal is considered to be the premise that the whole country knows. The most important petrochemical base has not been established. How to build it? For example, whether to build a petrochemical new city or a scattered construction, so that petrochemical bases can be spread throughout Central and Southern Province. This is a difficult choice. Basically, 50% to 50% of the experts who can decide have reasons. Petrochemical new cities can be centrally produced, laid out in a central and southern province, which can also reduce costs, but the radiation effect on the entire Central and Southern Province is not strong.
Distribution to various regions can leverage the transportation advantages of Central and Southern Province to maximize the advantages of Central and Southern Province. However, it is difficult to manage. Unless pollution is not controlled, the cost will increase. However, such dispersion can revitalize the entire area of Central and Southern Province. The emergence of a large number of small and medium-sized cities is much more important than a super-large city.
No matter which plan it is, Bangkok is the most important one. Whether it is a port, petrochemical project, or even steel project, Bangkok will occupy the most important part. Not only because Bangkok has a strong foundation, it has a certain industry and a huge population, it has a natural foundation for establishing a large-scale industrial base, but in terms of transportation, it is essential. The ultimate focus of all railways is Bangkok, and the advantages are quite outstanding in both ports and the Kara Canal.
For Wang Rongmin, petrochemical is the most profitable thing. It divides even 10% of the petrochemical products exported by China, especially for Europe, into Bangkok. This is a large market of 6 billion US dollars. Although the total investment amount will be as high as US$7.7 billion, 6 billion US dollars will be enough to recover the cost in more than two years.
The central government has only 7 billion yuan in supporting facilities, which is also added to Yang Yuanzhao's supporting facilities. The distribution range is wide, even if Wang Rongmin can fine-tune it. After paying more attention to transportation construction, it is inevitable to divide the investment in petrochemicals. The petrochemicals alone have only 1.2 billion yuan. If Wang Rongmin is a little rational, he may only rely on this project to invest 1.2 billion yuan first, attract up to about 2.5 billion yuan in funds. With one drag and two, the first batch of investment will be taken back. After making a profit, consider increasing production capacity.
The completion of the Kra Canal directly gave Wang Rongmin confidence. What he wanted was to be in place directly. On the one hand, it was hot money. Even if it was raised, there would be no problem of more than 2.5 billion to 1 billion. This solved half of the investment amount, and the capital controlled by the government was slightly reduced. This was nothing for large petrochemical companies. With China's repositioning of large state-owned enterprises, some of the strong commercial enterprises were basically pushed to the market. Even if it was occupied, there would be no major events that would affect the security of the entire country. Instead, it would be flexible and changeable to make it easier to develop these companies.
With a large gap of more than half, and even the hot money is less than billions, the reason why Wang Rongmin firmly sits on Diaoyutai is another aspect. Wang Rongmin knows that the production capacity of China's largest petrochemical company, Shanghai Petrochemical Corporation, has reached its limit. Next, the increase is limited. If you want to increase the group's output, you must go outward. In the past six months, his general manager ******* has traveled to at least 20 port cities and inspected hundreds of places, but has not made a final decision.
It was precisely because of this news that Wang Rongmin started to wait. Wang Rongmin was confident that as long as the project of Kra Canal is recognized by the central government, Yang Yuanzhao’s recognition news is placed in front of this boss, and there are 1.2 billion matching funds from the central government and Yang Yuanzhao. I believe that the boss of this group will make a choice as soon as possible, but he could have waited before. Now, under the premise that the construction of the Kra Canal is smooth, it is expected to be completed one or two months earlier than the design time. In this case, no matter how you wait, it will be a waste of time. You must take the initiative to find the boss and completely solve the problem of Petrochemical City. (To be continued.)
