Chapter 535, fantasy? Or real?
It seems that the collection is still a few dozen or so short of 50,000. I am ready to cheer! ——
"What are you doing!" A young officer in a relatively gorgeous dress walked out and scolded in a language that Wei Xiaobei had never heard of.
Of course, although Wei Xiaobei has never heard of this language, he can inexplicably understand it.
"We are traveling monks who come to beg for food."
Shakyamuni stepped forward and said truthfully.
"Bhikkhu? Beg for food?"
The little officer glanced at the monks with contempt, fortunately letting the soldiers go. Perhaps in his eyes, these so-called monks were not covered, so there was no threat.
After entering the city, the monks immediately dispersed, held wooden bowls, and each chose a road to start begging for food along the way.
Even the Sakyamuni, the Venerable Mani, are the same.
As for Wei Xiaobei's body now, it is naturally impossible for him to escape.
But then again, in Wei Xiaobei's mind, the Sakyamuni was indeed a little different. Not to mention anything else, just begging for food, well, it is actually a begging for alms in the future.
In the era of Sakyamuni, it was undoubtedly despised, but as the master of thousands of monks, Venerable Mani could undoubtedly assign people to wait for food in the so-called lonely garden. There was no need to come here in person, and he had to be looked down upon.
Well, Wei Xiaobei's body was knocking on the doors of the residents to beg for food, and the rolling eyes that Wei Xiaobei could not stand it anymore.
This is not a simple question of whether one is determined or not, but a discomfort.
However, what surprised Wei Xiaobei was that the wooden bowl in his hand was only the size of a palm, and the food given by each household could be about half the wooden bowl. However, after begging for more than ten households, the wooden bowl was still dissatisfied.
Is this a space treasure?
Think about it, every monk has such a wooden bowl and thousands of space treasures in his hand, which really makes Wei Xiaobei a little dazzled.
About the time when we were begging for food, Wei Xiaobei saw a monk in front of us being scolded by the head of the household.
If Wei Xiaobei had been scolded like this, he would have long taught the other party a lesson.
Even Wei Xiaobei saw the monk's hand slightly radiating golden light, but the next moment the golden light faded away. He let the head of the household curse until the head of the household cursed and closed the door, which was not over.
Wei Xiaobei's body then stepped forward and bowed to the monk: "I have seen Senior Brother Upoli."
"It turns out to be Junior Brother Shariputra."
"I wonder how much senior brother has begged for food?" Wei Xiaobei asked again.
"There are ten households." Na Upoli replied.
"I have begged for thirteen households, which should be roughly enough. We went to find the master and returned."
After Wei Xiaobei said this, Upoli nodded and said yes.
The two monks walked side by side, and Wei Xiaobei was struggling to read the memory.
Just as the two monks were talking to each other, Wei Xiaobei suddenly remembered that the names of Shariputra and Upali seemed to have some impression of him.
Unfortunately, in this illusion, all Wei Xiaobei's skills and abilities were blocked. Even if he wanted to read his past memories, he could only be like an ordinary person.
Fortunately, although the ability is blocked, its attributes seem to be still there.
When the two monks found Sakyamuni, Sakyamuni called on the monks to leave and walked out of the city gate, Wei Xiaobei finally remembered.
It turns out that these two names are two of the ten disciples of Sakyamuni!
I don’t know how many monks Shakyamuni has received, but there are ten most powerful people in later generations, each with different characteristics. They are the first in their own fields. Therefore, these ten disciples are also called the Ten Great Venerables.
For example, the Venerable Upali next to him is said to be the best at keeping precepts, while the Sariputra, Wei Xiaobei's body, is called the best at wisdom!
There are also Maudgalyayana, the best in supernatural powers, the best in preaching, Subhuti, the best in wiping the world, and so on.
At this time, Wei Xiaobei understood a little. Perhaps the Diamond Prajna Paramita Sutra was compiled by this Shariputra?
Of course, Wei Xiaobei was not sure about this matter, he was just a little speculation.
After all, it is probably impossible for a disciple to write about the words and deeds of the master.
When they returned to the Lonely Garden, the monks left behind hurriedly came forward to welcome the help. Pour the beg for food into a large pot, make a fire and add water to make a fire, and cook until the pot is turned on, and then the food is shared by Mahakasyapa assigned by Venerable Mani.
According to the rules, the most venerable person eats first, so the first bowl of food was delivered to Sakyamuni.
The elderly eat first, and the second bowl of food was given to an old monk with white eyebrows and wrinkles on his face.
Afterwards, the food was scooped into the monks' wooden bowls, and each monk took a wooden bowl until the last one was left, which was the food of Mahakasyapa.
Seeing this, Wei Xiaobei couldn't help but nodded slightly. There was no doubt that this food sharing system completely eliminated the possibility of presiding on food sharing for those who presided over the public and provide for their own private benefits.
If the scoop was unfair and there were more or less food in the last wooden bowl, then the food in the last wooden bowl would definitely be the least.
Although this is not absolutely fair, it at least achieves a relatively fair effect.
No matter what, Wei Xiaobei really has no love for the food in the wooden bowl in his hand.
Begging for food, begging for food, just these two words, you should know what the food you beg for food looks like.
Although most of the continent of India is located in the tropical region and has a rich source of food, not everyone has enough food and clothing.
In the early stage of Buddhism's development, no one knew monks, and monks who came to beg for food would naturally not get a favor. Even if they succeeded in begging, the food they got must be leftovers, and they were mixed together and boiled. Although it was disinfected, if the taste was circulated, Wei Xiaobei wanted to block his nose if it could.
And due to the limitations of the times, most of these foods are semi-shelled corn. Well, imagine how it feels like mixing the millet together and boiling it and eating it.
Rough cuts! Hard to swallow!
This is what Wei Xiaobei feels.
But he could not refuse this feeling at all.
Wei Xiaobei glanced around. Among the thousands of monks, some were frowning and difficult to swallow, some were frowning and barely swallowed, some were swallowed with joy and big mouthfuls, and some were dull, just like a banquet, and they ate the food silently.
This is the case with the Sakyamuni Venerable.
Well, Wei Xiaobei remembers that this venerable was born as a prince. Although the prince at this time was probably equivalent to the son of a tribe chief, he was always a prince. He could regard herb food as brocade food and eat it without color. This level of cultivation was beyond Wei Xiaobei.
After the monks finished eating the food, washed each other, they sat on the open space with Venerable Mani as their heads.
A year old monk stood up, exposed his right shoulder, put his right knee on the ground, put his palms together, and said respectfully to Sakyamuni: "Severe, World Honored One! The Tathagata protects and recites all Bodhisattvas well and asks all Bodhisattvas well. World Honored One, good man, good woman develops the Anuttara Samyaksambodhi mind, how can he stay? How can he subdue his heart?"
Shakyamuni said to the old monk without showing his expression: "Good! Good! Subhuti, as you said, the Tathagata protects and recites all Bodhisattvas well and asks them to all Bodhisattvas. Now you listen carefully and you will tell you. Good man, good woman develops the Anuttara Samyaksambodhi mind, and should stay in this way and subdue her mind in this way."
After hearing the answer between Sakyamuni and the old monk, Wei Xiaobei immediately realized the identity of the old monk. He was the ten major disciples of Sakyamuni. He was a subhuti who was known as the best disciple of Sakyamuni to understand the Buddhist scriptures in depth and was known as the best in the enlightenment.
The two continued to answer, and Wei Xiaobei felt a little drowsy when he heard it.
For Wei Xiaobei, who just came into contact with Buddhist scriptures, it is really difficult to understand such profound answers immediately.
Of course, if Wei Xiaobei's ability was not blocked, it might be much better.
But now, Wei Xiaobei is an ordinary person who is attached to Shariputra. At most, he understands that Subhuti is asking the Buddha what the believers in the world make vows and want to become Buddhas, and how to avoid the ordinary mind.
Wei Xiaobei didn't understand the Buddha's answer at all. Well, I understood the literal meaning, but I really don't understand the meaning.
Wei Xiaobei thought that perhaps a monk came over and could understand that he did not seem to have the so-called wisdom.
This answer lasted a lot of time.
At the end, the sleepy Wei Xiaobei heard the voice of Shakyamuni gradually rising, but there was no harshness at all.
"All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows, dew and lightning, and should be viewed like this."
As the sound fell, headed by Naspuri, thousands of monks stood up and raised their palms and lowered their heads, and recited scriptures in their mouths. The golden light of the Sakyamuni was dyed golden, and in a blink of an eye, the world turned into golden. Countless celestial women appeared in the sky, singing and dancing, countless sky flowers fell from the sky, and a sound of a sing of the Brahma sang and resounded throughout the world.
Wei Xiaobei even faintly saw the golden light spreading to the boundless distance, spreading the Buddha's voice. Anyone who was shining by the golden light and heard the voice of the saying stood up one after another, showing joy on his face, as if he had gained some benefits.
Even the golden light penetrated into the unknown space, filled with countless blood, countless human figures with ugly faces, agile skills, and fighting each other, put down their weapons, looked at the golden light with joy.
As for Wei Xiaobei himself, he felt that his whole body seemed to be soaked in a warm hot spring, but his heart was extremely quiet, just like he was in the mother's womb.
In the end, Wei Xiaobei could no longer support him and fell into a drowsiness.
"Defendant, donor of Wei!"
He felt his body shaking for a while, and Wei Xiaobei slowly woke up, looking a little confused. Looking at the person in front of him, he seemed to be a little unaware of him, but he looked familiar.
After a long time, Wei Xiaobei finally came to his senses: "Are you Shi Yanming?"
Shi Yanming looked bitter: "You finally recognize me. What's wrong with you? Suddenly I fell asleep while standing?"
"Ah, it's too sleepy."
