161, the fire of revenge (2)

When the Northeast Battle was in full swing, the summer harvest on the Jiaodong Peninsula had already ended, and autumn crops such as corn and sorghum in the fields grew green seedlings. In the countryside near the Lan Village of Jiaoji Railway, villagers and peasants were busy in the fields. From time to time, they looked up at the giant airport with a length of more than ten miles and hundreds of huge aircraft parked neatly on the airport apron not far away.

Farmers in Jiaodong have seen planes. In Qingdao, the Germans built airports in Sifang and Laoshan very early, and opened civil aviation routes very early. However, since last autumn, people from all over Jiaodong were mobilized. In less than half a year, more than ten large military airports were built on the entire Jiaodong Peninsula.

After these airports were built, several rows of huge warehouses, buildings and military camps were built next to them. The National Defense Forces also drove over, set up cordons around the airport, and deployed many artillery positions nearby. The barrels of these artillery were very long and were all disguised with branches. The long barrels pointed to the sky like a grove.

When all this was done, from spring, a group of huge aircraft descended from the sky. These aircraft were so huge that people stood under the plane, not as tall as their wheels. In comparison, the dozen or so fighters at the airport were like children's toys. When these aircraft were dispatched, a huge roar could reach dozens of miles away.

"Look! That is the Smb41 heavy bomber we produce and manufacture ourselves! This may be an epoch-making weapon that is enough to make the Strategic Air Force an important force alongside the Army and Navy. Now, it is time to show their strength." Standing on the hillside near the airport, Director of the Aviation Administration, Ba Tamamo, said to General Falkenhausen, the head of the moral counselor group beside him with a proud look on his face. According to the plan, tomorrow, these bombers will take off and bomb the Japanese mainland.

The reason why I personally accompanied the German and Austrian military delegation to inspect the airport preparations in Jiaodong was to witness this historical moment.

Looking at the huge group of bombers in the airport, Admiral Falkenhausen was also lamenting the great progress of China's aviation industry and manufacturing technology. Although the smb41 heavy bomber was a technology that caused the Austro-Hungarian Empire, he knew that the difficulty of manufacturing such heavy bombers was already in Germany, and only a few large aircraft manufacturing companies could manufacture. The Chinese could imitate it, which was enough to show that their aviation industry had finally caught up with the world-class level.

With the help of tow trucks, the heavy bombers at the airport at the foot of the mountain began to line up before the runway. The service vehicles were already driving beside the plane, and ground crews were loading new bombs weighing more than one ton into the fuselage. In nearly a year, China has built several large air force bases on the Jiaodong Peninsula. The smb39 or smb41 heavy bombers that took off from here can bomb almost the entire territory of Japan. The entire Japanese archipelago is within the combat radius of the Air Force strategic bombers.

Tomorrow's bombing will be the largest bombing operation launched by the Chinese Air Force since its establishment. Nearly a thousand heavy bombers taken off from the Jiaodong Peninsula, Jiangsu and Zhejiang airports are targeting the Japanese industrial zone centered on Tokyo. In the next few days, such bombing operations will continue to be carried out, with the goal of destroying Japan's industry and economy and striking the Japanese people's confidence in resistance.

In the European battlefield, due to the inability to seize air supremacy, the strategic bombing of the British Isles by Germany and Austria was not very satisfactory, but the bombing of the Ural industrial zone of the Soviet Union still achieved quite good results. It has greatly weakened the Soviet army's industrial capabilities.

After more than a year of hard work and preparation, especially after capturing several military airports in Ryukyu, the fighter jets taken off by the Army Aviation were able to provide full escort for the bomber troops, and the conditions for large-scale strategic bombing of the Japanese archipelago were finally ripe. With the approval of the Far East Theater General Command and the General Staff of the Chinese Defense Forces, the joint strategic air force of the China-Germany and Austria began to carry out bombing against Japan.

According to the combat plan, the primary target of bombing is the Japanese steel, aviation, shipbuilding and other military industrial centers, steel plants, aircraft manufacturing plants, and shipyards centered on Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The attack method is based on the characteristics of most Japanese buildings with wooden structures. Napalm bombs are used to burn and bomb the target.

"It's finally time for you to show off your skills." Colonel Gao Zhihang, the captain of the 12th Bomber Brigade, looked at the behemoth on the tarmac and was in a very happy mood. He commanded one of the three most advanced Smb41 strategic bombers in the Chinese Air Force. The Smb41 heavy bomber was introduced to China for production just after the trial production was successful. With the help of Austro-Hungary, the domestic company quickly converted three Smb41 aircraft manufacturing production lines in Beijing, Xi'an and Wuhan. The trial production was successful at the end of last year. However, because the manufacturing technology is more than ten times more complicated than previous fighter jets, the production of Smb41 is scaryly lower, and it can only produce less than 10 aircraft per month. Relying on this domestic output, plus the 36 Smb41s assisted by Austro-Hungary, the Chinese Air Force finally formed three Smb41 bomber brigades.

There are currently four bomber brigades at Blue Village Airport. In addition to the 36 b-41s of the 12th Bomber brigade, there are 36 b-39s of the 5th Bomber brigade, and 76 heavy bombers of the two bomber brigades of the German-Austrian Far East Joint Air Force. There are guard forces of a regiment deployed around the airport, and there are also 4 anti-aircraft artillery companies, with a total of 48 anti-aircraft artillery types and 32 twin-mounted anti-aircraft machine guns.

The entire airport was busy, with ground crews refueling the plane, loading ammunition and doing final inspections, while pilots gathered in the combat room to carefully study and simulate the flight route. The mechanics reported that two aircraft had mechanical problems and could not participate in the battle tomorrow. The smb41 is a very excellent aircraft, but due to the excessive load, the engine of this aircraft is prone to problems.

Gao Zhihang frowned after receiving the report and said nothing, "Maybe the latest jet turbine engine can solve this problem, but the reliability of that kind of engine is also a problem." He said in his heart, looking up at the route map hanging on the wall.

"After supper, all the captains and navigators held meetings in the combat room and arranged combat missions." He issued an order to the combat staff. Although it seemed calm on the surface, he still showed some excitement on his face. The War of Resistance lasted for six years, and now it is finally the Japanese turn to taste the taste of being bombed. The Chinese Air Force can unscrupulously drop bombs from the sky to destroy Japanese factories and cities, and there is no guilt in his heart for attacking civilian facilities.

In the combat room, Lieutenant General Lie Zaolin, Chief of Staff of the Chinese Strategic Air Force Major General Zhou Xiangqian, Commander of the German-Australia Far East Joint Bomber Wing Major General Kukochi and others were still surrounding the flight map to discuss the combat plan. The bomber troops taking off from Jiaodong and northern Jiangsu did not fly directly to the Japanese mainland, but first went southeast, and joined the bomber troops taking off from Zhejiang and the fighter troops taking off from Ryukyu Airport, then turned north and flew to Japan.

The focus of this bombing operation was not Tokyo, but Nagoya's Nakajima Aircraft Manufacturing Factory and Kawasaki Aircraft Manufacturing Factory on Kyushu Island. In addition, Nagasaki Shipyard, Wu Navy Shipyard and Sasebo Naval Base and Ship Repair Plant, oil depot and other strategic goals. This bombing plan was jointly formulated under the leadership of Major General Kukochi, Major General Ding Jixu, Colonel Gao Zhihang and others. Some of the past experiences and lessons learned from bombing against Japan were learned. The main change was that according to Japan's characteristics, the bombing method was mainly based on napalm bombs.

Now, the war is finally about to burn on the Japanese. (To be continued.)
