21. The Battle of Great Yenisei (1)

The Soviet warship was towed back to Trieste, Austro-Hungary. In the cabin of the "Red Volga", a total of about 680 tons of gold coins were found, and there were also foreign exchange notes worth about 230 million US dollars, with a total value of about 800 million US dollars.¥f

With such a large amount of money, Li Haidon naturally would not return it to the Spanish easily, although his eldest son has now become the king of Spain. Li Haidon waved his pen and gave half of it to the Navy for special construction funds.

The naval expansion plan for building six battleships announced by Austro-Hungary itself is a scam. In fact, only two "Emperor Franz Joseph" class battleships were built, and the remaining expenses were started to build six super aircraft carriers with a displacement of 42,000 tons. The cost of the "Emperor Franz Joseph" class battleships reached nearly 200 million kroners, while the cost of a "Bosnia" class aircraft carrier was only 160 million kroners, and four battleships were enough to build five super aircraft carriers. In terms of cost-effectiveness, the Austro-Hungary Navy was unwilling to build more battleships.

Most European aircraft carrier construction uses British-style fully enclosed bows and double-layer enclosed hangars, thereby improving the aircraft carrier's airworthiness and wave resistance. Relatively speaking, although the protection has been enhanced, the number of carrier-based aircraft is much smaller than that of the US and Japan with the same tonnage.

From the experimental results obtained at present, the larger the displacement and flight deck of the aircraft carrier, the better. For example, the combat capability of the two "Saint Stephen" with a displacement of only 23,000 tons is not as good as that of the "Istria Grand Duke" with a displacement of 41,600 tons after being modified. In order to increase the area of the flight deck, the newly built "Bosnia" class aircraft carrier of the Austro-Hungarian Navy uses obvious outwardly freeboards, and integrates the structure of the flight deck and hangar into the overall structure of the warship. In this way, the length and width of the flight deck are slightly larger than the length and width of the hull, and have initially and have certain modern aircraft carrier characteristics.

After receiving about 800 million kroner funds, the Imperial Navy began a new round of additional naval shipbuilding plans in 1937 and added four aircraft carriers to build shipbuilding plans. As the first batch of aircraft carriers of the same model was built, the Navy decided to adopt the standardized and modular construction model used in destroyer construction. This was the first time that a standardized construction model was adopted in the construction of large warships, which greatly accelerated the construction speed and effectively reduced construction costs.

The "Biscai Bay Incident" was equivalent to directly slapping Moscow in the face. Livinov issued a statement saying that the Red Empire was determined to fight Austro-Hungarian imperialism and hegemony to the end. But there was no following afterwards. Zhuyashvili still did not have the courage to declare war with Austro-Hungarian, and he was even more afraid of involving the Germans.

The Austro-Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Austro-Hungarian fleet was forced to defend itself, and provided the filming information to prove that the Soviet-Russian warships opened fire first. In the end, everyone argued with each other. The Austro-Hungarian side agreed to release several Soviet-Russian warships and captured personnel, but the compensation was not mentioned.

Zhu Yashvili fell into a big flaw in Spain. In order to maintain his absolute authority, he needed to find a place elsewhere. So he turned his attention to the Far Eastern Republic of China in the East.

In May 1937, Livinov summoned the Chinese ambassador to Russia, declaring that the Far Eastern Republic was the former territory of Soviet Russia, and demanding that China withdraw its troops from the Far Eastern Republic.

The Far Eastern Republic was established in 1919 and was initially recognized by the Umyanov government, but in 1923, after the Red Army conquered Omsk, the capital of Siberian government, it announced that it would not recognize the independence of the Far Eastern Republic. The Siberian government's highest temporary ruler Kolchak was killed on the way to retreat. Lieutenant General Horvart, the former commander of the Middle East Railway in China, became the highest commander of the White Army, and Horvart announced his inauguration.

The Prime Minister of the Far Eastern Republic also moved the capital from Upper Ukinsk to Irkutsk. After retreating to the Greater Yenisei River, the Chinese Workers' Army began to defend on the spot and shattered the Red Army's attack with the White Army. At that time, the Red Army and the Soviet regime were in the weakest period. Because of concerns that China and Japan were looking for excuses to advance westward, Moscow ordered the Red Army to stop the attack, and both sides divided the ceasefire line with the Greater Yenisei River.

The Red Army turned to Central Asia and the southern Ural region. After more than two years of hard fighting, it finally eliminated the Dutov group and finally advanced to the front line of the Volga River.

Subsequently, the Soviet regime broke out with the Ukrainian Republic and the Donets-Don Cossack Republic, recapturing Voronezh, Saratov, Bryansk and Bergorod. Finally, under the interference of Germany and Austria, the three parties reached a ceasefire agreement in 1925. The Donets-Don Cossack Republic and the Soviet Union basically formed a border with the 52-degree north latitude line, and it was bordered with Ukraine in Kharkiv and Bergorod, and Kharkov was assigned to the Ukrainian Republic.

The seven-year Russian civil war finally ended. Due to years of civil strife, the Soviet Union was basically ruined, production was greatly damaged, factories were shut down, food and life had to be extremely scarce, and it was almost on the verge of collapse. Due to the inability to continue fighting, Moscow chose to truce, and in the Far East was bounded by the Yenisei River, acquiesced to the existence of the Far Eastern Republic.

Due to the Russian Civil War, about millions of old nobles, landlords, rich peasants, Jews and White Army fled to the Far East, but even so, the Far Eastern Republic still felt that human resources were far from enough. Therefore, during the reign of Horvart, the Far Eastern government formulated a series of preferential policies to attract immigrants from China to the Far East to open up land, mine, and log. The rich natural resources in the Far East also attracted a large number of Chinese poor people to immigrate to the Far East. Over the past 20 years, about 6 million Chinese immigrants have settled in the Far East. The Chinese population here is almost the same as the Russian population, and Chinese has become a common language used together with Russian.

July 1937, Moscow.

In the office of the Supreme Commander on the east side of the second floor of the Kremlin Building 1, Zhu Yashvili stood in front of the map and looked carefully. The part of the Far Eastern Republic on the map was marked white, and there was also a large area of Japanese-occupied areas that were also white. Looking at a large piece of white "land" on the map, the Supreme Leader's face became quite ugly.

"I want to ask, why do even the Austrians dare to bully us unscrupulously? It is because of these traitors!" Zhu Yashvey used his hand to gesture on the map, "The Don River District ruled by the White Bandits, the Caucasus region and Ukraine became the lackeys of the Germans and Austrians, betraying the great motherland. And here..." He pointed to the Far East with his fingers, "The White Bandits and the Chinese are colluding with each other, and this land is almost yellow!"

In the office, the expressions of Defense Minister Voloshilov, General Staff Chief of Staff Vasilevsky, Minister of Internal Affairs Tolia and New Foreign Minister Molotov became extremely unnatural. After a three-year "great anti-counterfeiting", anyone inside and outside the party who had a little opinion on Zhuyashvili, even ordinary citizens had been "purged". Now, with just one word, even the Supreme People's Commissar, would immediately become a prisoner, and then be secretly executed for "treason" without trial.

Now, he is a supreme "tyrant", and one sentence can determine the fate of anyone, including those who are sitting, and must make people silent and be more careful.

Fortunately, everyone sitting here is the closest "comrades" of the supreme leader.

No one will violate his will.
