Ten, Boloyevich

Boloevich completed his internship in the 11th Infantry Regiment of Bohemia and returned to Vienna.

He sat in the restaurant of the Military Club for breakfast, waiting for the man who arranged his post for him. Three slices of bread, a serving of black caviar, two fried eggs and a glass of milk, Boloevich ate breakfast quietly while enjoying the scenery outside the window, close to Pratt Park, very close to the Army.

"Oh, our friends who were sent to the exile appeared here alone!"

"Why are you here, Svetoser, the internship at Bizek?

Three classmates at Queen Teresa Military University appeared in front of him, looking him up and down with a smile, joking, and without waiting for his agreement, he pulled out his chair and sat on his dining table. Three noble officers in captain uniforms: Carl Rotty, Jorgen Bill Hannell and Ron Stelz. He hadn't met these people for more than a year, but these guys still sat with him casually, ordered their own breakfast, and then started joking and chatting.

"Hey, don't be so close to me, I've made an appointment here." He said to Stelz, who was sitting next to him.

"Oh, is that?" Stelz stood up and moved to a chair next to him. "It's not a lady? We usually do this at night. Svetoser, you won't say that meeting the girls in Bizek is in the morning."

Several people were thrilled by this rude joke, and then Rorty asked, “You haven’t been assigned to work yet?”

"It should be better to join the General Staff, just like us." Stratts said: "The Army Department will not put graduates who have just come out of the military university down to be commanders. They always have to work in the General Staff for a few years first."

"Not necessarily. I heard that the Army Department plans to send a military advisory group to the Far East to train those Qing people with braids." Rotty joked, "Maybe you have the chance to become a colonel, Svetoser, ah, Colonel Bolojevic, haha!"

"This is impossible. Those who are recruiting retired officers to the Far East." Bill Hannell said, "I heard that it was Haydn. Duke Fredrich who needed some military officers to be with him, so don't be sent to him." Jogan works in the Ministry of Military Affairs and knows more about the transfer of personnel than the other two.

"My God, it's that playboy. I heard that guy made money with a rich man. Many young nobles in Vienna were resentful of it." Stretz said, "If you follow that guy, your future will be ruined." He seemed to be regretting Blotovic.

"Hey, I'm not sure where to go." Blotovic frowned. He had a bad omen. If he was going to the General Staff, he had already arranged it for him yesterday. But why did he always feel that the guy who received him in the Army Department was looking at him with a gloating look.

As if to verify his concerns, a young but unfamiliar voice came over: "Is it Major Boloevich? I am Lieutenant of the Navy, Lieutenant of the Navy, Duke Haydn Fredrich, and I am very happy to know you."

Bolojevic was not happy at all, but he had no choice but to say goodbye to several classmates who were a little overwhelmed and a little unfair for him, followed Lieutenant Mayer out of the officers' club, and then got into a brown-red carriage. The guy brought the transfer order from the Army Department and the promotion order, perhaps out of a kind of comfort, that he was promoted to Army Major.

The carriage turned two streets and came to the gate of the Belvedes Palace and stopped. Blotovic was a little surprised. This was the residence and office of the Crown Prince Ferdinand. What are you doing here?

"Duke Frederich is talking to Grand Duke Ferdinand. We will set out in a while and go directly to Trieste, so please come directly." Mayer seemed to see his doubts and explained to him.

At the door, a middle-aged man in a tuxedo greeted him, led them through a gorgeously decorated hall, to a corridor on the left, and led them into a small room. "Please wait here, the Duke is in the Grand Duke's office." The man who seemed to be a housekeeper said, and then left.

It took more than an hour to wait. Boloevich and Meyer chatted for a while. Because they were not very familiar with each other, they were naval officers, and there was not much topic between them. The atmosphere in the room began to become silent. Boloevich stood up and looked at a painting of naval battle hanging on the wall for a while. It was a scene of the Battle of Lisa. The smoke was rolling on the sea surface, and the several steam sailboats on the picture seemed extraordinary.

He became a little annoyed and deeply confused about his future. He walked to the window and looked out for a while, then glanced at the door of the room, but there was still no movement. He walked around the room, then sat on a red velvet sofa and sighed softly.

The door was opened, and the butler stood at the door and said, "Now you can leave, the Baron will come down soon."

Bolojevic tidied up his clothes, and the two stood up and followed the butler back to the golden hall.

Duke Frederi and Grand Duke Ferdinand appeared on the stairs, chatting while walking. Both were wearing military uniforms, but compared with the sturdy Grand Duke, Duke Frederi was slightly thinner and more casual, with the buttons on his collar open. In addition, the crown prince's attendant, the military officer, Colonel Kant, followed behind them.

Mayer walked over and stood beside the duke and said a few words in a low voice, probably introducing his own situation.

"Oh, hello, I'm glad to see you." The Duke stretched out his right hand and greeted him.

Boloevich was very embarrassed and didn't know whether he should shake hands with the Duke or marching. After hesitating, he saluted the crown prince and the duke, "Report to the chief, Boloevich reports to you."

"You should be a very thoughtful person." The Duke said with a smile, and then introduced his new subordinate to the Grand Duke. "This is Major Bolojevic, the new attendant sent by the Army Department to me."

Boloevich saluted another military salute to the Grand Duke, who just nodded slightly.

Duke Fredrich then said to the Grand Duke: "I originally asked the emperor to send me a naval officer as an assistant, but I didn't expect that the Army Department sent me an army officer."
