Chapter 6: The Oath

Qin Shao returned to the room and felt his cold sweat fading away, his body was so sticky that it was uncomfortable.

"Go and get water, I want to take a shower." She ordered.

This time, she did not let Chen come in for the first time to serve, but instead soaked herself in a wooden barrel, holding her face until her face turned red before she dripped in breath.

"Bang bang bang!" Qin Shao smashed the water surface three times, and the water splashed, and the whole bathroom was covered with misty hair, and his hair was wet and he couldn't tell whether it was water or something.

"Bad! You are such a scammer!" She cursed with annoyance with red eyes.

When I saw Rong Su, I felt like a little chicken, so I couldn’t even speak well. Why was it not a waste?

Qin Shao never thought that after experiencing life and death, his fear of Rong Su was still like a shadow, and it seemed to be deeply written into his bones!

Even if she lived again, she could not get rid of the nightmare of the past for a while. It was not easy for her to perform today.

But Qin Shao was not satisfied.

She lived again, was she afraid of staying for eleven years?!

"Damn thief, I can't spare you!" Qin Shao cursed and cursed with red eyes in the misty water vapor.

Outside the door, the wet nurse Chen walked from the other end of the corridor.

Behind her was a girl wearing a lotus spring shirt and a pearl hairpin. Although she looked like a maid, she was holding a plate of clothes and following Chen closely.

"Hello, are you? The wet nurse comes in to serve you to change your clothes?" Chen asked in front of the door.

Qin Shao heard from inside.

Chen turned around and took the clothes from the girl's hand. The girl paused and said, "Mom, I'll go in and serve you."

"You can't go in if you make trouble, and men and women don't get married." Chen scolded.

"I'm worried that I'm in a bad mood today, and you can't be busy alone..."

Chen had already taken the clothes from her hands and pushed the door open. Soon after, he heard the sound of the outer clothes inside.

The three little maids passed by her with their clothes, crowns and dark cloud boots, bent their knees and called out, "Hello, Miss Shuhan," and entered the door.

Shu Han's face turned slightly white, but soon returned to rosy and smiled properly.

The master is out.

Qin Shao was wearing a vermilion brocade robe, a white jade crown on his head, and a gold-edged black satin boots. He was really handsome as Pan An, making Shu Han's cheeks flushed at first glance.

"Shu Han? Why are you waiting here?" Qin Shao asked.

Before Shu Han could speak, Chen said, "You are so proud, this girl can't forget her identity."

Shu Han whispered and bowed to Qin Shao.

"Don't worry about these things," Qin Shao waved his hand and said, "By the way, my father gave me a milk cat, I'll call it Ruixue. If you like it, you can come and play with it."

Shu Han looked happy: "Thank you, Prince."

Qin Shao strode out of the yard, and Shu Han lowered his head and followed closely.

Chen blocked her for a moment and said to Yan Miao, who was also trying to follow: "You all go back, I can just follow the prince."

The maids were slightly stunned.

It's so late, I won't go to bed, so where else can I go?

Qin Shao personally took the lantern from the servant's hand and accompanied the wet nurse to a secluded courtyard west of the royal palace.

Two white lanterns with the words "Open" written in front of the courtyard gate sway in the wind, and the shadows reflect the three words "Sandalwood House".

"Master, it's so late. The eldest lady and Mr. Cheng should have gone to bed. Let's come back tomorrow, right?" Chen tried to stop him.

Qin Shao shook his head stubbornly and signaled her to knock on the door, but Chen had to go forward.

The little maid rubbed her eyes and opened the wooden door. When she saw Qin Shao, who was red and jade crown, was awakened: "See, I have seen the prince, I am... I'll go in and report!"

Qin Shao was waiting in front of the door.

Soon, several little maids came out and opened the courtyard door to welcome Qin Shao in.

Gu stood in front of the main hall in plain white and nodded to Qin Shao: "My second brother is visiting late at night, but what's the point?"

"I've seen my sister-in-law," Qin Shao replied, glanced at the maids in the yard: "Can you please move?"

"This..." Gu was a little hesitant.

Her husband's death period is not over, and her child is only half a year old. If she meets her uncle late at night, she may be inconsistent with her courtesy.

"Sister-in-law, don't blame me, I just want to give my elder brother a stick of incense."

Gu's eyes turned red, nodded and moved away, while ordering people to get incense.

Qin Shao entered the main hall, and Qin Sui's spiritual position was placed in the center.

The Qin Dynasty valued the legitimate and illegitimate children, so although Qin Sui was the eldest son of King Yu and even the only son, because of his illegitimate status, the royal family could only hang him for seven days. From then on, the spiritual position would be placed in the yard of his lifetime, and the dying people would be filial to him.

So after more than a year, the only Sandalwood House in the entire royal palace is still hanging on the vernal.

Qin Shao gave a great gift and kowtowed to incense.

She didn't remember much about Qin Sui, but only remembered that her elder brother treated her very respectfully because of her illegitimate status as a legitimate illegitimate illegitimate, and was gentle. Everyone in the palace said that the eldest son was generous.

"I, Qin Shao, swore to my elder brother's spiritual position. I will protect Cheng'er in this life. If it is contrary to the sky and thunder!" She suddenly pointed and swore, every word was sonorous.

Gu immediately burst into tears, and his legs bent down and he knelt down.

"After my uncle's words, my heart has come to the ground. I will thank you for your great kindness and virtue." Gu bowed to his head.

Since Qin Sui left, she has been worried day and night that her orphan and widowed mother will have a hard time in the future.

It would be better if King Yu is still there. If King Yu is gone one day, Qin Shao will be the owner of Prince Yu's mansion.

By then, if Qin Shao had a conscience, he might be able to provide her and her son with food and clothing. If she had no conscience, she would really not know what to do if she was a weak woman.

"Sister-in-law, please get up quickly." Due to his identity, Qin Shao did not go to help him personally, but Chen, beside him, stepped forward to help Gu get up.

"Since Cheng'er called me "Uncle", this is what I should do. I just hope that my sister-in-law will not doubt my words and deeds in the future, and do not let the flesh and blood of Prince Yu's mansion have a gap." Qin Shao said.

Gu was slightly stunned, not understanding the profound meaning of Qin Shao's words, so he nodded and replied, "How dare you, how dare you?"

Qin Shao sighed slightly.

Don’t dare to do this at this moment, if you know that she prevented Cheng'er from entering Chang'an to participate in the crown prince’s choice?

Today, as soon as she mentioned that Cheng'er would not enter Chang'an, her father turned against her. When Gu learned about it, can he give her a good face?

Gu didn't know that she was a daughter, so would he think that she wanted to be the emperor so that she would not let Cheng'er enter Chang'an to participate in the battle for the capitol?

Qin Shao was worried and visited Qin Cheng who was sleeping and said goodbye.

After stepping out of the threshold, Qin Shao suddenly turned around and stared at the little maid who stood first in Gu's yard.

Her eyes were staring, making Gu's heart skip a beat.

Gu himself had to keep mourning for his deceased husband for three years, but Qin Shao was the legitimate son of King Yu, and of course he did not need to keep filial piety for his deceased brother.

Looking at the little maid again, I found that the prince was walking towards her, blushing and heartbeat, and lowering his head and holding the handkerchief was covered with sweat beads.

Qin Shao reached out to her, and the little girl's eyes closed, feeling that the glory of life was about to come in an instant, but suddenly felt a pain on her neck. It turned out that the pearl pendant half-covered between the collar was torn off by Qin Shao.

The little girl looked at Gu in a panic and knelt down: "I, I..."

Qin Shao pinched the pearl pendant between his two fingers and looked at the moonlight: "The best-quality Dongzhu is worth a hundred taels. Even if you are sister-in-law, you have never used such a good bead before, right?"

Gu's face darkened: "Xi'er, where did you come from this bead?"

"It's... it's the dowry left by my servant's mother in the past."
