"Frog prince"
In the distant ancient times, the beautiful wishes in people's hearts often became reality. In that fascinating era, there was a king. The king had several daughters, all of them were very beautiful; especially his daughter, who was as beautiful as a fairy. Even the knowledgeable sun was amazed at her beauty every time it shone on her face.
Near the king's palace, there is a dark forest. Under an old linden tree in this forest, there is a pool of water, which is very deep. When it is hot, the princess often comes to this forest and sits next to the cool pool. When she is sitting there and feels bored, she takes out a golden ball, throws it into the air, and then catches it with her hands. This has become her favorite game.
Unfortunately, once, the princess stretched out her hands to catch the golden ball, but the golden ball did not fall into her hand, but fell onto the red and rolled into the pool. The princess stared at the golden ball tightly, but the golden ball suddenly disappeared in the pool. Because the water in the pool was very deep and could not be seen, the princess started crying, and her crying louder and she cried so hard.
As he was crying, the princess suddenly heard someone shouting: "Oh, princess, what's wrong with you? Even Shi Tou will feel distressed when you cry like this."
After hearing this, the princess looked around, trying to figure out where the voice came from, but unexpectedly found a frog that stretched out his ugly, fat head from the water.
"Ah! It turns out it's you, a swimmer," the princess said to the frog, "I'm crying here because my golden ball fell into the pool."
"Okay, don't be sad, don't cry," replied the frog. "I have a way to help you. If I help you fish out your golden ball, what will you give me to repay me?"
"Dear frog, you do everything you want," replied the princess, "My clothes, my pearls and gems, and even the golden crown that I wear on my head, can be given to you."
After hearing this, the frog said to the princess: "I don't want your clothes, your pearls, your gems, and your golden crowns. But if you like me, let me be your good friend, we play together, let me sit at the same table with you during dinner, eat with your gold plate, drink with your goblet, and let me sleep in your bed at night; if you promise all this, I will dive into the pool and fish out your golden ball."
"Okay, great," the princess, "As long as you are willing to fish out my golden ball, I agree to everything you ask." Although the princess said this, she thought to herself: "This frog is so stupid, all Hujiao! He is only worthy of squatting in the pool and croaking with other frogs. How could he be a good friend?"
After receiving the princess' promise, the frog pierced his head into the water and dived into the pool. After a while, the frog held a golden ball in his mouth and floated to the water, and then spit the golden ball on the grass. The princess was so happy that she saw her beloved toy again. She picked up the golden ball, ran away.
"Don't run! Don't run!" the frog shouted, "Bring me with you! I can't run away as fast as you."
Although the frog shouted desperately at the top of his throat, it was useless. The princess ignored the frog's shouting at all, but ran home and soon forgot the poor frog completely. The frog had to jump back to the pool.
Second, the princess, the king and the ministers had just sat on the dining table when they started eating with her gold plate. Suddenly, a slap sound was heard. As the sound was heard, something jumped up along the marble steps. When he reached the door, he knocked on the door and shouted loudly: "Princess, open the door!" Hearing the shouting, the princess hurried to the door, trying to see who was calling out the sword outside the door and opened the door. It turned out to be the frog, squatting in front of the door. When the princess saw that it was a frog, she suddenly closed the door, turned around and quickly returned to her seat, and was very scared.
The king found that the princess looked panicked and asked her: "Child, why are you so scared like this? Isn't there a giant outside the door to capture you?"
"Ah, no," replied the princess, "not a giant, but a disgusting frog."
"What do frogs want to do for you?"
"Oh! My good dad, yesterday, I went to the forest. While sitting by the pool playing, the golden ball fell into the pool, so I cried. I was crying very sadly, and the frog caught the golden ball for me. Because the frog asked me to be his friend, I agreed, but I didn't expect that he would climb out of the pool and climb so far to come here. Now he is outside the door and wants to come here."
While talking, I heard a knock on the door again, followed by a loud shout:
"Princess, my love,
Open the door quickly!
The one who loves you has arrived,
Open the door quickly!
You won't forget yesterday,
Under the old linden tree,
The deep water of the pond is gone,
It was you who made a promise in person.”
After hearing this, the king said to the princess, "You must never speak without trust. Go and open the door and let him in."
The princess walked over and opened the door. The frog jumped into the door, then followed the princess to the seat, and then shouted loudly: "Carry me to your side!"
The princess was frightened and trembled when she heard this, but the king ordered her to do what the frog had. The frog was placed on the chair, but she was not very happy and thought of going to the table. After getting on the table, she said, "Can you push your golden plate over a little? So we can eat it soon."
Obviously, the princess was reluctant to do this, but she still pushed the golden plate over. The frog ate with relish, but the princess had no appetite at all. Finally, the frog said, "I'm full. Now I'm a little tired. Please carry me to your bedroom, lay your satin quilt cover, and then let's go to bed."
The princess was afraid of the cold frog and didn't even dare to touch it. She heard that he was going to sleep on his neat and beautiful bed, and she started crying.
When the king saw the princess like this, he angrily said to her, "Whoever has helped us in times of difficulty should not be despised afterwards."
So the princess picked up the frog with her two slender fingers, took him upstairs, and placed him in a corner of the bedroom. But as soon as she lay down on the bed, the frog crawled to the edge of the bed and said to her, "I'm tired, I want to sleep in the bed too. Please carry me up, or I'll tell your father."
When the princess heard this, she was furious and grabbed the frog and threw it to the wall.
"Now if you want to sleep, go to bed, you ugly annoying guy!"
Unexpectedly, as soon as he landed, he was no longer a frog, but suddenly became a prince: a prince with bright eyes and a smile on his face. It was not until this time that the prince told the princess that he had been cast by a vicious witch, and no one except the princess could rescue him from the pool.
So, in accordance with the will of the king, he became the princess's close friend and companion, and they would return to his kingdom together.
The next morning, when the sun climbed up the mountain, an eight-horse carriage was parked in front of the door, with white feathers inserted on the horse's head, and in a flash, the horse was covered with golden harnesses. Behind the carriage was the prince's servant, the loyal Henry.
After Henry's master was turned into a frog, he was heartbroken, so he put three iron hoops on his chest, so that his heart would not be broken by sorrow.
The carriage came to pick up the young prince back to his kingdom. The loyal Henry helped his master and princess get into the carriage, and then stood behind the carriage.
