Thirteen Card Rules

Thirteen is a type of poker game. Some people say it is Russian poker. It is usually played by four people and is often used for gambling. The gameplay is as follows:

One of the four people is the dealer, (you can also compare the four people,) the dealer divides the cards into four parts, each with thirteen cards.

Before opening the card, all idle players bet on the dealer.

Each person arranges the thirteen cards into three sections (dao), called the head (dao), the two paths and the tail (dao). There are three cards at the head, and five cards at the two paths and the tail. The head must be less than the two paths, and the two paths must be less than the tail, otherwise it is called "striking the misunderstanding" (also known as "Xiang Gong"). All those who "striking the misunderstanding" will be compensated.

Since there are only three cards in the first paragraph, it is not considered smooth and floral. It can only be a fancy pattern (called headless), one pair or three.

After everyone arranges the cards, they open the cards and compare with the dealer. The head is compared with the head, the two paths are compared with the two paths, and the tail is compared with the tail.

When comparing, first compare the card type. When the card type is the same, compare the points.

The rules for some gameplay are that when comparing points, when comparing the cards with the largest points, when comparing the cards with the same points, and so on. If they are exactly the same, the suits of the cards with the largest points are compared.

The rules of some gameplay are slightly beneficial to the dealer: only the card with the largest points. If the same is true, the dealer will win.

Any party must encounter the following combination and take all, which is called "reporting"

"Three Shuns (also known as Three Snakes)": The two paths and the tail are straight, and the head is also three consecutive straights. The three bets are better.

"Three Flowers": The two paths and the tail are the same flowers, and the head is also the three identical flowers. It is better than the three bets.

"Six vs. Half": There are six pairs in the card. Win three bets.

"Total big"; "Total small": A to ten; 5 to J, Q, K, A will also "report" to win three bets.

"One-stop": A.K.Q.J.10.9.8.7.6.5.4.3.2 each. Win thirteen bets. (The chances of appearing are about 12,211,799,223.)

"A Green Dragon": a one-stop with the same flower, the chances of appearing are only one in 158,753,389,900.

If the dealer and the dealer report at the same time, the dealer will compensate the dealer.

Odds: First, second or final, each segment wins at least one bet, and the following situations must exceed one bet (be careful not to make an own!):

Three "heads" are put: win three bets.

The husband (man Tanghong) puts "two paths": wins two bets.

Four points of "tail" are: win and get four bets. Make "two paths": get eight bets.

The "tail" of the same flower: wins five bets. Makes "two paths": get ten bets.

Terms and other

Thirteen gambling is quite popular in Hong Kong, and some terms are more popular in Southeast Asia. For example, "headless, one beer, snake (straight of different flowers)"; "beer, beer, husband"; "six and half beer", etc., are all combinations of thirteen. Headless refers to "head" as "no right"; "beer" (pronounced pe1) means a pair, and "husband" means gourd or "husband" (FullHouse). "headless, one beer, snake" means the head way is unbalanced, two paths are one pair, and the tail is straight, which is a very ordinary combination. There is the meaning of "very ordinary" and "lazy" in Hong Kong slang.

The winners and losses of the thirteen games are mainly based on luck, but skills are also important. In the long run, they still rely on skills. For example, the two pairs in your hand can be split into two pairs and placed in the "head" and "second degree", or they can be placed together in the "second degree" to form "two pairs"; it depends on the situation. Many people have the habit of sorting cards first before placing cards. Careful opponents can guess whether there are combinations such as "flowers", "husbands" from then on.
