36. Shield cast

The first step I took out of the portal was in the air. I was unstable with my center of gravity and rushed forward with Ying Li, and fell into the sea with a "pop".

The cool sea water soaked most of my body, and a wave came from behind, and Ying Li and I fell into the sea.

It was pitch black all around, but the night sky was shining with stars. I struggled to stand up from the sea. The light was very dark around me. I could only see dozens of meters away. The surrounding water was full of sea water. However, the water level here was only as deep as my waist. I was worried that Ying Li would choke by the water, so I quickly fished Ying Li, who fell into the water. At this time, she was wet with the sea water and choked some sea water.

When I picked her up, she instinctively coughed violently. I patted her back lightly. She struggled with her hands a few times, then slowly opened her eyes. There was some confusion in her bright pupils, and her face returned to her usual ordinary appearance. The first thing she woke up was to ask me: "Jijia, where are we?"

"I don't know, maybe it's near an island." I said to Ying Li.

I kept observing around, but unfortunately I couldn't see farther away at night. I could hardly hear anything except the sound of waves.

In the quiet late night, Yingli and I were surrounded by the sea.

I looked up at the starry sky and wanted to determine where I was from the star map, but the starry sky I am familiar with is the Pai Plateau, the starry sky of El City and Didu. If these three places are too far away, I can only roughly calculate which direction I am in, but I have no way to know where I am.

We stood in the sea, Ying Li reached out and rubbed her head. She tried hard to recall what happened before, and said to me with a look of distress:

"Have we left Haiyuan City? Why don't I remember anything?"

I reached out and touched her forehead and found that she didn't seem to have any other problems except for a brief memory loss. However, thinking about the beautiful face that just appeared on her, I couldn't help but ask with some concern: "This matter is a long story. How do you feel? Does the head still hurt?"

Her hands covered my hands, probably because of my tenderness at the moment, and her face turned slightly red. In such a strange environment, she seemed to have forgotten the dangers around her for a moment.

She looked at me with a gentle face, shook her head vigorously, and then asked me with joy: "So we are out of trouble?"

"Uh, that's right! You're really fine?" I said vaguely.

I don’t know if it’s considered to be out of trouble, and I don’t even know where this is, but in my opinion, if I haven’t left the sea, I should still be in the sphere of influence of the Gana Sea tribe.

Ying Li stood in front of me and said to me: "I can't even remember what happened before. I only remember that we went to Arreil's funeral."

Perhaps she heard waves coming from all over the night, and she was a little scared, so she stretched out her hands to hook my neck to hug me, but at this time she saw Katerina and Kalancho stepping over the portal, and she was so scared that she quickly retracted her hands.

Katerina and Kalancho walked to me along the waist-deep sea water. The warriors had excellent balance and coordination skills, so they stepped out of the portal and did not fall into the sea water like I did. However, when they saw Ying Li recovering their consciousness, they looked at Ying Li's face and looked at them again and again. Ying Li unconsciously reached out and touched his face, looking at them with a puzzled look.

She asked Katerina, "Why do you all look at me with such a strange look? What's wrong with Helena and Becky?"

Katerina smiled and said to Ying Li: "Don't worry, they are not seriously injured, they just fainted for the time being."

A group of barbarian slaves holding heavy crossbows also walked out of the portal one after another. These barbarian slaves stepped into the sea water that was less than their knees, looking a little panicked.

"Don't panic, we may be near the beach of an island, and at the worst, it's also on a tide island. Now it's in the high tide stage, so there's nothing to be afraid of." Justus was in the sea water, his lower body changed into a fish tail full of bone spurs. He held up a handful of sea water and poured it on his face, letting his scattered hair back to his head.

These barbarian slaves who had experienced battles in the Vasqi plane soon calmed down.

The tauren Ruka also walked out with a huge shield, but behind him was a huge ice coffin. The ice coffin slid out of the portal and fell into the sea water, and it floated on the sea surface. The sea water around the ice coffin immediately condensed into ice hangings.

Immediately afterwards, a group of orc warriors ran out of the portal. They looked a little embarrassed. The armor of the magic pattern was filled with lightning, and some orc warriors were even injured. Before these orc warriors had escaped from the altar, the battle immediately spread to the door of the portal.

A Garna guard with a trident in his hand had just exposed half of his body from the portal, and was immediately pierced by Justus, who was guarding the portal with a sword. The bone sword came out of the back of the guardian Gana. The body of the guardian Gana was hung on the portal. Several Garna guards immediately rushed out of the portal, but were smashed back by a huge defeated shield in the hand of the Tauren Ruka.

A trident as thick as a arm stabbed out from the portal, and stabbed the "Ancient Oath" of the Tauren Ruka. The huge force from the trident knocked back the Tauren Ruka and his shield for more than ten meters away. The Tauren Ruka's body stirred up a large splash of water in the sea water.

The Garna guard opposite the portal who can easily knock the Tauren Ruka away with a simple "sting" skill, is at least at least a second-turn strongman.

The blue arm was covered with scales. Just as the moment Justus' bone sword stabbed out, the other party seemed to have sensed it and shrank his arm back. Then an exquisite round shield with nautilus pattern appeared from the portal. Justus' bone sword could not penetrate the round shield, and then a thick arm was exposed from the portal.

The barbarian slaves also recovered at this time, holding heavy crossbows in their hands, and pulled out giant crossbows from the crossbow casing and put them into the crossbow trough. The giant crossbows in their hands aimed at the portal. Several giant crossbows turned into white light and flew towards them. The arm holding the small round shield shrank back from the portal without hesitation. Before we could do anything next, the portal opened on the sea was silently closed.

When the portal disappeared, the body of the guard Gana who was on the portal was strangely disconnected from his waist, and the torso was exposed on the portal. The other half of the fish tail was probably left on the altar, and the power of space easily cut him into two pieces.

"Luka, why did you bring all this thing out?" Justus leaned closer and looked over, frowned and asked Ruka.

The tauren Ruka was confused and touched her hairy head and said in a muffled voice: "I don't have it! I don't know what's going on. This thing probably slid out from behind me."

Justus' half of his body sank into the water and said to us, "Okay, it's not a good idea to always soak in the sea. I'll see if there are any islands around to live in."

After saying that, the huge fishtail flipped up a splash of water, and plunged into the sea, turning into a thin line on the dark sea surface, and soon disappeared.

We have lived in Vasqi for more than three months and have a relatively certain understanding of the monsters in the sea.

Kalancho carried the unconscious Becky on his shoulder and said to everyone: "Don't stop here, leave here as soon as possible. Although this is a shallow water area, the blood of the Garna people can easily attract nearby predators, maybe a large shark, or some other sea beast."

At this time, I began to bless the "Walk on the Water" magic to the barbarian slaves one after another. The barbarian slaves stood up with their hands on the water surface, but there were waves of waves on the sea surface. These barbarian slaves needed to maintain balance when standing on the sea surface, otherwise their bodies would sway as if they were drunk.

The orcs' warriors were obviously more adapted to the environment here. After they stood on the sea one by one, they could stand very easily and very smoothly.

As the only second-turn strongman in the team, Kalancho was going to walk ahead with the orc warriors to explore the way, so she handed the unconscious Becky into my hands, then sniffed hard against the sea breeze, pointed to one direction and said to me: "There is the smell of palm trees there, let's go there."

Becky, who is also very slim, is actually much heavier than Ying Li. She is wearing tight leather armor and some full parts are tightly tight. I let her hands on my shoulders, her face is buried on the back of my neck, and her scattered seaweed curly hair spread out.

Surrounded by the orc warriors, I, Ying Li and Katerina, who was carrying Helena, followed behind Kalancho, and planned to search for the island with palm trees in the middle of the night. The barbarian slaves were responsible for following behind.

The tauren Ruka chased me and asked, "Gija, how do we deal with this thing?"

He was referring to the ice coffin floating in the sea, where Princess Arreil was probably lying inside the ice coffin.

I hesitated and said, "Oh, leave it here... Forget it, let's bring it with me first."

Ruka took out a rope to tie the ice coffin, and let the ice coffin float on the sea and dragged it.

After walking less than a hundred meters away, I saw several triangular fins swim silently by my side. The huge dark figures were clearly a group of fierce megalodons. After a while, the sound of water flapping from where we were originally staying came from. It seemed that the megalodons were eating half of the body of the Guardian Garna.

The Gana Sea tribe is an absolutely delicious meat for these megalodons, and it should be difficult to eat in normal times.
