Chapter 75 Equality between men and women
"That instructor looks very strict!"
Walking side by side in the passage, Michael Culliz said to Matthew, "I guess we have suffered a lot during training."
Matthew shrugged, "I won't really train us like I did in the military."
It is completely different to being a soldier who looks like a soldier.
The sound of a motor came from behind him. Matthew guessed that a car was coming. While dodging in, he turned around and saw a black Land Rover rushing toward him. He could see the mud spots on the air intake fence so close that he could see the air intake fence.
The car rushed over without honking the horn or slowing down, as if Matthew and Michael Culliz in the passage did not exist.
Matthew almost subconsciously took a step to the side. The front of the Land Rover car was whizzing past him at less than 20 centimeters, but he didn't have time to do any more movement. The rearview mirror on this side rubbed against his arm that was leaning against the outside, and his body was tilted. Michael Culliz next to him reached out to grab his inner arm, and Matthew did not fall.
The Land Rover did not slow down at all, and in a blink of an eye it rushed to the vicinity of the exit of the passage.
"You..." Matthew turned his head and shouted at the other side, "You don't have eyes!"
He almost didn't have time to pass the passage at such a fast speed.
Just after this roar, the Land Rover stopped with the rapid brake sound, and the cab door was pushed open from the inside. A woman jumped out of the car and walked towards Matthew angrily, obviously hearing what he had just said.
"It was the woman yesterday!" Michael Culliz reminded.
Of course Matthew recognized this as the female assistant producer with a British accent yesterday.
"What are you shouting?" The woman's sharp and loud voice came over, "I didn't hit you again!"
Although the woman was very unfriendly, Matthew remembered Helen Herman's words, and did not want to have conflicts with the producers, and maintained a peaceful tone and said, "When you came..."
He pulled the sleeve of the arm, and there was dust rubbing against the rearview mirror. "The rearview mirror of the car touched my arm."
"I met you? Nonsense!" The woman's voice rose again, "When I came over, there was no one in front of the car."
Matthew couldn't help but want to get angry, but he pressed down, "I'm on your side. So, the rearview mirror of the car touched my arm."
The woman didn't know what was going on, and the fire became stronger and stronger. "I ran into you? Why didn't I see it? OK! You said I ran into you, let's go to the medical room for injury examination!"
"Why are you like this?" Although your arm hurts a little, Matthew just rubs it for a moment. It's nothing. He originally wanted to make the other party apologize, "Your car rearview mirror touches me, are you reasonable?"
"Collimited you?" The woman took a step forward, looking like a crazy tiger. "Just not kill you!"
Matthew could no longer hold back his anger. He didn't care whether it was a woman on the other side. He clenched his fists and wanted to rush over. Michael Culliz quickly grabbed him and reminded him loudly, "Calm down! Calm down!"
Although this place is not the main entrance of Hatfield Airport, it is the shortest entrance and exit to the hotel area where the actors are staying. A large number of actors from the crew soon gathered on the scene.
Many of them were flying over with Matthew. Several senior actors looked at the woman and hurried over to stop Matthew with Michael Culliz.
"Don't be impulsive, Matthew!" Ain Bailey reminded in his ear, "If you hit her, you can't stay in this crew."
This instantly calmed down Matthew and put in so much effort to get this role. If he was removed by the crew because of the beating, he would not even get the penalty for liquidated damages.
The woman saw Matthew standing still and was even more arrogant, "Let's go! Come with me to test the injury! If you are not injured, I will sue you for accusation..."
Matthew's eyelids twitched, and the hand held by Michael Culliz was even trembling with anger.
"This woman is too much."
There were talks around, "I'm still so arrogant after hitting someone."
"He can actually bear it. If I had been slapping her..."
"We're just little actors, she's an assistant producer, it's easy to fiddle with us."
Not only were American actors flying over together, but also several British accents came over.
"Oh, crazy Kate is going crazy again."
"Who is that man? I'm going to be unlucky."
"This woman doesn't know that the sky is high and the earth is thick. What if that man can't help it?"
"Crazy Kate is too arrogant."
"Who told her to have a good dad?"
The woman named Kate was still clamoring. Many British actors present knew her, but none of them dared to go over and persuade her.
"Kate Jeffrey!"
Finally, a man who didn't hear a very vocal voice came from the entrance of the passage, "Say a few less words."
Then, a middle-aged man in his thirties came over and went straight to Kate Jeffrey, persuading, "Stop making trouble, this crew is not a place where you can make trouble casually. Do you want the three major producers of the crew to see it?"
The man's words worked. Kate Geoffrey glanced at Matthew, turned around and returned to the side of the Land Rover, got in and started the car. Just when everyone thought that this was over, she suddenly lowered the window, stretched out her arm from inside, and raised a finger to the back!
Middle finger!
This finger was obviously for Matthew, but there were too many people behind him, and everyone who saw the middle finger in the back of the car was a little embarrassed.
The middle-aged man in his thirties couldn't help but shake his head, turned to look at Matthew, and said, "Are you okay?"
Matthew had calmed down, "It's okay."
His eyes were always staring at the rear of the Land Rover.
"Don't take it to heart." Michael Culliz whispered, "Just pretend you met a lunatic."
Ian Bailey also echoed, "That woman is just a lunatic."
Matthew took a deep breath, withdrew his gaze, looked at the middle-aged man in his thirties ahead, and nodded slightly. In some ways, this man saved his career on the crew.
If that woman continues, he will definitely do it, even if it is a woman.
He is a person who has a deep understanding of the concept of gender equality.
The middle-aged man smiled at him, nodded, and walked towards the airport.
"This is the protagonist Damian Lewis."
Doug Allen, who had a very pleasant chat with him when he came, came over, "I'm not very famous, but I'm a good old man."
Matthew smiled at him and greeted Michael Culliz and Ian Bailey, "Let's go."
Several people entered the airport and walked towards the training ground. One after another, actors from North America came to say hello to Matthew and asked about the situation. They were all on the same plane when they came. They were on the land in the UK and were considered fellow villagers.
Even here, this regional division also exists.
However, Matthew saw it very clearly. Compared to people including Doug Allen, Michael Culliz and Iron Bailey are more suitable for getting along.
After passing through the training ground, the group came to the dormitory building where the locker room was located. When Matthew walked into the locker room, many people watched it. It was obvious that the conflict between him and others had spread in a small way.
There are many wardrobes in the locker room, each with the owner's name posted on it. This was posted by the crew before. Matthew guessed that it was intentional to avoid the actors having conflicts over the wardrobe. His wardrobe is far away from Michael Culliz and Ian Bailey, at the corner at the most corner on the left hand side of the entrance.
Matthew walked by and the owner of the wardrobe next to him had arrived and was changing his clothes.
This is a relatively stranger. He knows all actors from North America and immediately judges that they may be British actors.
Going past the man, Matthew pulled open the closet, took out the clothes and military boots he had put in yesterday, and was about to take off his coat, he found a wallet lying on the ground.
"Hello." He reminded the man next to him, "Have your wallet dropped?"
The British actor looked down, picked up his wallet, and smiled at Matthew, "Thank you! I said why can't I find it?"
"You're welcome."
Matthew thought his smile was very special, a bit like a shark in an animation I had watched, but the name of the cartoon was too long and I couldn't remember it, so I couldn't help but feel a little worried.
"Still getting angry about the door?" The British actor obviously saw it, "No need, really! That Kate Jeffrey has a bad reputation in the British entertainment industry, and few people like her."
Matthew asked in confusion, "Can you still join this crew if you have a bad reputation?"
The British actor shrugged, "Isn't there a good dad?" he explained, "Kate Jeffrey's dad is a BBC executive. She often works in movies or TV series invested in BBC. She has a strong backstage and no one wants to provoke her, so..."
Matthew understood. Helen Hermann told him that BBC was one of the producers of "Brothers".
"She can't be arrogant for a few years." The British actor also seems to be annoyed by Kate Jeffrey, "I heard from the agent that Geoffrey retired from the BBC at the beginning of this year. In less than a few years, his influence will be gone, and no one will hire someone like Kate Jeffrey again."
"Thank you!" Matthew thought what he said was very useful to him. "I feel much more comfortable when I hear this."
The so-called comfort is just to say, and the anger in his heart has not diminished at all.
Matthew reached out to the British actor and introduced himself, "Matthew Horner, from Texas."
The British actor held his hand and smiled like a shark again, "Michael Fassbender, German."
After hearing what he said, Matthew said embarrassedly, "I thought you were British."
The two chatted for a while, and the training time was almost up. They walked out of the locker room one after another, and happened to see Tom West, who was the instructor, come out of a locker room next door.
All the actors, including Matthew, greeted him politely and then went to the training ground together.
Chapter completed!
