Chapter 117 Good Actor

It was another ordinary working day. Stephen Somos came to the Songlin Studio early, entered the studio arranged into a pyramid, and habitually turned around.

He has developed a work habit for many years to examine the shooting venue early every morning.

The crew's unified working hours are eight o'clock, but in fact some departments will start working at two or three o'clock in the morning. When Stephen Somos was wandering around the set, many employees of the crew's department were already busy in the studio.

He came to an outside of a shooting site surrounded by green screens and suddenly heard the sound of Felipe's movement guide.

"Don't expect every actor to be Matthew Horner. There are not many dedicated actors like him!" Felipe seemed to be explaining to the stunt actor group. "I talked to most actors yesterday. Matthew Horner doesn't need to use stunt stand-in as before. You'll have to take the action scenes where other major actors have difficulty. Now start preparing now!"

Stephen Somos did not stop and left directly.

Not long after walking, I approached the side door exit of the studio. The crew's temporary medical room was located here, and the door of the medical room was opened. It was obvious that the crew's doctors also went to work in advance.

The footsteps suddenly rang out, and a girl with short black hair hurriedly walked from the main entrance, probably noticing him, and after passing by, he went straight into the medical room.

Stephen Somos stopped and took a look. The brunette girl had found the doctor on the crew.

"Doctor Raymond." The girl's voice came from the open door, "Does Matthew Horner have medicine?"

Then, the middle-aged male doctor's voice sounded, "For you, let Matthew apply this ointment to the place where the trauma is damaged, it will clear the swelling."

He said again, "He has suffered too many injuries recently. This ointment can only be used temporarily, so it is best to take two days."

"I said so too..." The girl's words came over again, "But he didn't listen. He said that the scenes filmed now are very important. Once he stopped, the entire crew would have to be suspended. He also said that this little injury was nothing and would not affect the shooting at all."

The girl sighed, "Fortunately, it's only one day today, and if it goes well, the filming will end in the morning. Doctor Raymond, are all actors working as hard as Matthew Horner?"

"All the actors?" Dr. Raymond's voice was a little disdainful, "The older generation of actors are fine, but the current young actors..."

Although he didn't hear the following words, Stephen Somos knew what Raymond was going to say and agreed with his point of view. In terms of his work experience in recent years, among young actors around the age of 20, he has only seen two or three of them who work as hard as Matthew Horner.

After walking around the studio, Stephen Somos came to the entrance of the main entrance and happened to see Rachel Weizi and the young actor Freddy Bush who played his son enter the studio and greeted, "Good morning, Rachel. Good morning, Freddy."

"Good morning, Stephen."

"Good morning, Mr. Director."

Rachel Weizi and Freddy Bush greeted him at a distance, but did not come over, but continued to walk into the studio. Freddy Bush said while walking, "Rachel, please, go and tell my mom, let me attend a party at night, okay?"

Their voices were not low, and naturally fell into Stephen Somos's ears. He couldn't help but wonder, someone was going to have a party tonight?

Rachel Weizi's words came again, "Freddy, do you want to go too?"

"Of course!" Freddy Bush seemed a little anxious, "You go, Brandon, Arnold and John are all ready to go, why can't I go? Matthew has helped me many times, so I have to thank him, right?"

"Okay! OK! OK! OK! I'll tell your mother that Matthew will leave London tomorrow, and I don't know when I will see him again..."

Stephen Somos left the studio and looked at the sun just rising in the east. It seemed that most of the crew thought Matthew Horner was a good actor.

Is Matthew Horner a good actor? Stephen Somos asked himself in his heart, and the answer was actually very clear.

Not to mention other aspects, just in terms of crew filming and the role of Scorpion King, Matthew Horner brings all the benefits, at least he has not seen any disadvantages.

The current situation also makes him a little lucky, glad that he did not insist on using Dwayne Johnson.

More and more people entered the studio. Stephen Somos no longer thought about it and returned to the studio to direct various departments of the crew to prepare. As soon as 8:30 in the morning, all the actors arrived and the filming began on time.

The crew has been in good condition recently and the filming has been going well. Today is no exception. By 10:30, all the scenes of Scorpion King have been filmed.

But Stephen Somos did not let the crew disband, but continued to wait in the studio. He played back the shots and looked at every detail one by one. Matthew Horner's scenes were completed. According to Rachel Weisz, he will leave London tomorrow. If his shots are flawed, it will be troublesome to shoot them again later.

I don’t know when producer Sean Daniel also came here and stood behind to watch the screens played on the director’s monitor.

After checking the four shots repeatedly twice, confirming that there was no problem. Stephen Somos pressed the stop button.

"I heard that it's going well recently?" Sean Daniel spoke at this time.

Stephen Somos did not deny that "the Scorpion King's scene was completed three days in advance."

"Matthew Horner is not bad?" Sean Daniel looked at the set. With the help of the staff, Matthew removed the green curtain wrapped around his arm and said, "I heard many people mention that Matthew Horner performed very well."

"To the role of Scorpion King..." Stephen Somos seemed honest, "Matthew Horner is a good actor."

In his eyes, Matthew Horner has almost perfectly fitted with the image of Scorpion King, and even made him completely forget the Dwayne Johnson.

Stephen Somos stood up and put on an extremely serious face, saying, "I want to apologize to you at this point in Matthew Horner. Your persistence has prevented me from making a mistake."

Sean Daniel seemed generous, "We are all for work, for this work. You also want to make the film better."

Stephen Somos smiled helplessly, "No matter what, I took a look at both Dwayne Johnson and Matthew Horner."

He suddenly raised his voice and shouted, "The shooting of this morning is over! Work starts on time at 1:00 pm!"

On the set, Matthew was saying goodbye to many people. He would not come back after leaving the crew later.

Although several actors who got along well invited him to dinner, there were only a few.

He said goodbye to action director Felipe, crew doctor Raymond, makeup artist Sasha and others one by one, then took the water cup sent by assistant Mira and drank half of the water directly.

"If you want to go to Los Angeles..." Matthew said to the Chinese girl, "You can call me."

Mira nodded.

Matthew asked again, "Are you going to continue to develop in this circle?"

"I have limited education." Mira became familiar with Matthew during this period and said directly, "I can't find a better job for the time being."

"Your assistant is doing a good job," Matthew joked, "I'm very satisfied! Actually, I want to invite you to continue as my assistant, but unfortunately I'm just a little actor and can't afford my salary."

Although Mira-Wang is a mixed-race, his typical black hair and yellow skin naturally make Matthew feel friendly. He thought about it, found a pen and paper, wrote down a string of numbers on it, and handed it to the girl.

"Assistant can't be a lifetime." Matthew can't do much, "This is the phone number of my agent Helen Herman. If you want to come to Los Angeles and want to continue to stay in the film and television industry, you can call her, and maybe she can give you some advice."

Mira-Wang could see that Matthew was helping her and said, "Thank you!"

Matthew smiled and said nothing, walking towards director Stephen Somos, still some distance away from the director's monitor, and saw producer Sean Daniel walking towards him.

"Hello, Mr. Daniel." He greeted politely.

Sean Daniel gave him a bright smile, "Matthew, good job! I chose you in the role of Scorpion King, I really chose the right one."

Matthew quickly modestly, "I'm so complimented, I just did my job."

Sean Daniel had a very good impression of him, and he chatted for a few more words and left the studio.

Then, Matthew came near the director's monitor, and Stephen Somos stood there, obviously waiting for him.

"Director Somos, I'm leaving London tomorrow." Matthew was as enthusiastic and humble as he faced Sean Daniel. "I'll come here to say thank you. Your guidance has benefited me a lot."

"Yes." Stephen Somos just nodded slightly.

Seeing that he was as cold as before, Matthew thought he still didn't like him, he said, "Then I won't disturb you. Goodbye, Director Somos."

Stephen Somos still had the same expression, "Goodbye."

Matthew smiled, turned around and was about to leave.

"Wait a moment."

Stephen Somos behind suddenly called him, Matthew turned around in confusion, and Stephen Somos still looked so cold.

"Matthew," said Stephen Somos calmly, "You are a good actor!"

Hearing this, Matthew couldn't help but be stunned for a moment, then laughed, "Thank you!" He thought for a while and said, "Your approval is very important to me! Thank you, Director Somos."
