Chapter 1383 The Great Pyramid
Until today, with the most modern technology and the most advanced equipment, it is difficult for us humans to replicate such miracles.
In ancient Egypt, there were neither dump trucks nor cranes, nor steel cable cars and cranes, and even an iron tool, such as a pulley.
The ancient Egyptians did not have all this, they just used stones to build pyramids.
The accurate arrangement of those stones above the desert confused everyone. What is even more confusing is not how they built these pyramids, but why did they build these pyramids?
You know, before that, the Egyptians had never built a pyramid.
So, at this moment, why do they build these pyramids? Why do they build these pyramids so big and so exquisite? Why do they build these pyramids in the desert instead of centrally building them in one place?
Modern Egyptology failed to give a convincing answer.
No matter which textbook you pick up in this area, the explanation you get is the same: the pyramid is the tomb of the pharaoh.
However, if it is just a tomb, then digging a simple pit on the ground is enough. Why did the ancient Egyptians build it to a height of 147 meters?
Why build a morgue at such a huge cost? Even considering that Pharaoh was the monarch of the ** and considering that he was regarded as a god by the ancient Egyptians, it seemed that he had wasted too long time and too much energy.
The general image of the slaves who completed this difficult task when they built the pyramids was also a mystery. There is no evidence that the slaves were forced to devote themselves to this difficult cause.
Moreover, if there is any evidence, the evidence is exactly the opposite.
The reality is that when the Europeans were still in an uncivilized state, the Egyptians had already had a high degree of civilization. They believed in religion very much, and there were many facts that suggest that the Egyptians built pyramids rather than boasting about the power of the dead pharaohs, but rather to prove a religious belief.
However, the Egyptians are often extremely conservative. There are always a few believers who try to hide the secrets within the religion without disclosing them. It is these few believers who guided the ancient Egyptians to build pyramids. It is naturally not surprising that we modern people know nothing about the purpose of building pyramids.
In fact, these pyramids with special shapes, especially the Great Pyramid of Giza, hide many unknown secrets. The Great Pyramid of Giza has stood unscathed for thousands of years.
It was not until 820 AD that a group of Arab workers broke in for the first time under the command of the son of the fifth "caliph" Harunal Rashid, the legendary Arab Abbasid dynasty.
They dug a tunnel in the hard limestone, and after a few weeks, they finally opened a dark corridor. Further exploration along the corridor, they found three tombs.
What is very annoying is that all these tombs are empty. In this so-called king's tomb, Arab workers only found a granite sarcophagus without a coffin lid.
What’s strange is that the ancient Egyptians themselves always maintained an abnormal silence about the pyramids. During the Tut’anha period, the Great Pyramid of Giza existed for more than 1,000 years.
Who built this pyramid? Why did it build this pyramid?
The answer is lost in people's memory. From the 4th to the 7th century BC, the Greeks and Romans, as Egyptian occupiers, were not interested in these ruins.
In the 5th century BC, the ancient Greek historian Herodotus stayed in Egypt for a while, and he followed the origin and purpose of these relics in his famous book "History". This is the first-hand information we know about describing the pyramids.
However, this information is mixed with personal prejudice and local myths and legends.
It was not until the 7th century AD that the efforts to explore the mystery of the pyramids were truly beginning when the Arabs invaded Egypt. The mystery of the Great Pyramids has always intoxicated explorers, and it is more eye-catching than all other buildings in history.
For hundreds of years, people have been speculating on its secrets, believing that there must be a hidden tomb somewhere, and that this tomb will definitely be found one day.
Generation after generation of Egyptologists and many amateurs have been searching hard, using all the means that can be used, from ** to x-rays, but no one has achieved his goal.
On March 22, 1993, an exciting news was revealed in the international media industry. The unknown German Rudolph Gantenbrink made the most important archaeological discovery in a decade, and he found a way to improve ventilation of the Great Pyramid.
Gantenbrink is a remote control mechanical device engineer at the German Archaeology Institute in Cairo. He sent a small remote control robot, Uppovat 2, above the southern passage of the Queen's tomb.
When we advanced to about 65 meters, Upwat No. 2 stopped and sent back a photo of what seemed to be a small door, revealing a gap that was deeply interesting at the bottom of the small door.
Having a small door means something may be behind it. Perhaps, behind that door is a tomb. If the tomb really exists, then no matter what the ancient Egyptians put in the tomb, they have not been attacked for at least 4,400 years and must be placed there now.
Because since the construction of the pyramid, the passages at both ends have been closed and have never been stolen.
Moreover, since the pyramid builders have to work hard to hide the tomb chamber, its importance is self-evident, and it may be more important than the dead pharaoh.
And this just hints at us, their motive for building the pyramids in the first place: this is the real religious center...
Rudolf Gantenbrink, the German, is not the only one interested in channels. For several years, scientists have also been studying these channels, studying their relationship with astronomical orientations.
It was a bizarre coincidence. Just a few days before Upwat 2 began its historic journey, experts and Adrian Gilbert had been taking photos in the Queen's Tomb and the South Passage. When the experts met Rudolph and his team members, they had made final arrangements for further research.
The experts and Adrian were even more interested: What exactly are the functions of these channels?
It is now very clear that ventilation is not the main function of these channels. The direction they lead is the most important, that is, they all face the special star field that the ancient Egyptians believed to be very important.
However, experts thought that the angle of one of the channels was not accurate enough, so they hoped that Gantenbrink could provide a more accurate number for the research through laser measurements so as to test the astronomical target of the channel.
Over the years, some people have been studying a lost religion - the ancient religion of the pyramid builders.
The front page of London's newspaper, Gauntengbrink's discovery, was shocked by the world. At the invitation of archaeological journalists, as Rudolph's spokesperson in England, experts interpreted the religious significance of this passage.
The southern passage of the king's tomb points to the belt of Orion related to the God of Osiris; the southern passage of the queen's tomb points to Sirius. The star of the goddess Isis.
There is no doubt that such an arrangement is by no means accidental, it is closely related to the purpose of building the pyramid.
Since standard textbooks always support the “Sun Hypothesis,” the academic community has launched the first global debate about the star religion that is linked to the pyramids.
Dr. Edwards, the world's authoritative pyramid research, was on TV 4 on the show: According to our speculation, there is a very likely hidden behind this door with a statue of pharaoh staring at the direction of Orion.
The Daily Mail published the next day quoted his following passage: "The reason these passages are regarded as ventilation is because no one knows more... They point to Orion. to the god Osiris."
Are there any other secrets related to the Orion star body in the Great Pyramid of Giza?
The test done by Upwatt 2 confirmed that the previous predictions exactly match the exact angle of the channel. This ultimately proves the fact that there was a general plan when building the pyramid.
Although this plan is very simple, it has extraordinary significance for us modern people to understand the pyramids and the era in which we live.
For thousands of years, the sky has been the driving force for humans to explore scientifically, and it is also the hope and dream of mankind for tomorrow - and carving their own hope and dreams on stone is like the original imagination of mankind fully demonstrated by the oldest Egyptian tombs.
However, most people now know the sky, and many people only find the Big Dipper.
There is a tribe called Dogon in Africa. Every 60 years, a ceremony called "Sigui" is held. In this ceremony, the sacrificial people wear masks and perform a complex dance.
This is obviously a resurrection ceremony, originating from the well-known natural phenomenon of Sirius accompanying the rise and fall of the sun. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, located in the Canis major star cluster under Orion.
The "Mystery of Sirius" written by Robert Temple records a lot of content. Temple's so-called Mystery of Sirius was discovered to be an article written by two French anthropologists, M. Gregor and G. Deerdling 4, in the 1950s.
They used the Dogon tribe as their research object and unexpectedly discovered that the Dogons have knowledge about Sirius and the invisible white dwarf - the companion star Sirius b. Robert Temple is an American living in the UK, a member of the Royal Astronomical Society, a graduate student in Orientalism and Sanskrit.
In the early 1960s, he accidentally discovered this achievement of the Dogons and was deeply confused by his knowledge of the existence of Tianlang B, because only by using a high-power telescope can he barely see it.
Astronomer Irving Linden Brad took the first photo of Sirius B in 1970. To this day, most people still know nothing about Sirius B, and there are only a few people who know Sirius A.
So, as early as the 1950s, how did the Dogons know accurate information about Sirius b?
What makes people even more suspicious is that the Dogons seem to have recorded the knowledge related to this star through some means and preserved it in the form of a religious mask.
Some of these masks are stored in caves. They have been through hundreds of years of history. Their connection to this little star is surprising: Where does this knowledge come from?
Temple believes that the knowledge of the Dogons obviously does not come from modern astronomy. They are ancestral treasures, and are likely passed down before their emigration to their current homeland, Mali, south of the Sahara Desert.
In ancient Egypt, people regarded Sirius as a star in the sky as important as their beloved goddess Isis. Initially, Temple indirectly studied the articles of French anthropologists, which turned his focus from the indifferent African tribes to the eye-catching ancient Egypt.
Although many myths about the Near East in this book are still worth pondering. Temple, after all, reveals mysteries worthy of in-depth investigation. If the Dogons inherited knowledge about Sirius b from the ancient Egyptians, what else do they know about these astral bodies?
Except for the sun god Ra, the Egyptians did not worship stars so much; we now know that during the reign of Akhenaten Pharaoh around 1350 BC, there was a religious theory about the god Asun, who symbolized the sun wheel.
When studying "The Mystery of Sirius", many scholars still knew nothing about the ancient star religion. This was originally an interesting subject. It was also an important field for understanding the religion of the ancient Egyptians and heavenly kingdoms. It was also a research field that was ignored by people.
Since it is the mysterious knowledge that only the priests at the highest level have, almost no record has been left. The Egyptians were probably the greatest astronomers of ancient times, but they were very different from the Greeks and Romans, and most of their knowledge was only owned by a few people who participated in religion. There are many secrets in it that are related to the stars.
Without the Nile, the longest river in the world, Egypt might have been just an extension of the Sahara Desert.
This artery originates from the heart of Africa and is formed by the waters of Lake Tana in Ethiopia, Lake Albert in Uganda and Lake Victoria.
It brought life to Sudan and Egypt, and other equally hot areas. Looking down from the air, this artery is like a huge python. The river flows slowly and silently northward until the cool Mediterranean, which forms a strange contrast with the scorching desert on both sides of the river.
The Egyptians had good reason to worship the Nile River. They regarded the Nile River as the incarnation of God. Just like the Yellow River and the Yangtze River Basin in China, it is the mother river.
Because Egypt has very little rainfall, the Nile River has become their only stable source of fresh water, and to a large extent their lives are subject to the ebb and flow of the Nile River.
The most important event in the Egyptian calendar is the flooding caused by the melting of snow in the Ethiopian mountains every summer. The Nile flood irrigates large areas of land on both sides, and accumulates endless black and oil alluvial soil, forming the most fertile soil in Africa.
On this fertile land, the Egyptians can harvest several rounds of crops every year. In fact, the fertile soil of Egypt is a gift from the Nile, whether in the past or present.
Geographically, apart from several desert oasis, the habitable land in Egypt is divided into two distinct regions: one is a narrow valley formed by the Nile River winding through canyons and deserts, and the other is a flat delta at the intersection of the Nile River and the Mediterranean Sea.
For a long time, these two completely different regions have been called Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt respectively. Upper Egypt has fertile land and its river valley is a strip-like area about 965 kilometers long and 4.8 kilometers wide.
Although it is enough to feed local residents, agriculture is only an integral part of their lifestyle. The Nile links Lower Egypt with Black Africa and forms an important trade channel.
The cities of Upper Egypt naturally became important trading posts on both sides of the passage, and people engaged in the trading of ivory, gems, wood, spices and slaves.
Together with agriculture, these trades have created a wealthy Upper Egypt. In contrast, Lower Egypt is a flat silted plain with backwater irrigation all year round, making it the most suitable land for cultivation in the world.
All the swamps in the past were transformed into farmland by the Egyptians, as well as lush date palm forests and brown stream forests. The crops were lush under the shade of trees, and sufficient wheat and cereals were enough for people and livestock to eat, which made Lower Egypt one of the most grain-producing barns in the world in ancient times.
The two different kingdoms of Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt were created by the natural division of land. The capital of Upper Egypt was in Nicob, near Hiraconpolis, and was blessed by the vulture god Nehbert.
The capital of Lower Egypt was later called Bhutto by the Greeks, Pipi was a delta city protected by the female serpent goddess Edjo.
People still know nothing about how these two kingdoms were unified in the previous dynasties. Egyptologists believe that around 3100 BC, Menis, the powerful king of Upper Egypt, known as the "Scorpio King", unified Lower Egypt, founded the First Dynasty, and claimed that he was the unified Egyptian king.
Although the Egyptians believed that they had a very ancient civilization, which could be traced back to the golden age of the upper and lower Egypt ruled by God, people usually set the date when Menis created the First Dynasty as the beginning of Egyptian history, believing that the personified god, Osiris, was the first oracle pharaoh.
However, what people can never forget is that Egypt was indeed two kingdoms. This pharaoh was always called "the monarch of the two countries" by the Egyptians, or "the king of the upper and lower Egypt."
They therefore chose Edjo and Nehbert as their goddesses of protection, and often made their heads with red and white crowns to symbolize their rule over the upper and lower Egypt. Red represents Lower Egypt, and white represents Upper Egypt. (To be continued.)
