Chapter 54: The Way of Martial Arts

At this time, Tian Chengzi and the other two had already walked away. Nan Feng returned to the field and continued to kick and punch, practicing martial arts.

Although Nanfeng was practicing martial arts, he was absent-minded. He vaguely noticed the dangerous aura. Tianqizi had been away for so many days and didn't know where he went. Today Chengzi was also away from the mountain. He was worried that Tianmingzi and others had already known his identity and began to secretly plot.

Soon, three Taoist people came down from the mountain. This time, Nanfeng knew one Tiandezi, but the other two did not. Tiandezi and others also brought weapons and baggages, and obviously they were going to travel far.

Seeing that Tiandezi was about to leave the mountain, Nanfeng even suspected that it was intentional for the other party to transfer the purple qi master on his side so as to take the opportunity to attack him.

Worried in his heart, Nanfeng walked to the edge of the square again. Tiandezi saw him and looked at him with a slight head, kind and calm, without any abnormality.

Seeing that Tiandezi was as normal, Nanfeng felt a little relieved. He waited until the Taoist left the field and returned to the mountain, so he stayed at the end and ran to talk to Ling Xizi.

Nanfeng was introduced to Ling Xizi by Tianchengzi that day. It was reasonable for Nanfeng to care about Tianchengzi. Therefore, when Nanfeng asked about Tianchengzi, Ling Xizi never had any doubts. He told him that these two groups of people were going out for business, and they were the candidates decided after the morning class this year. Tianchengzi and others went to Shangqing Sect of the Eastern Wei, and Tiandezi and others went to Yuqing Sect of the Western Wei.

The Three Purposes of the Three Purposes are held in turn. This year's Three Purposes of the Three Purposes of the Three Purposes are organized by Taiqing Sect. Taiqing Sect is the master and is responsible for planning the Dharma Assembly. The main purpose of everyone's trip is to discuss the details of the Dharma Assembly with Yuqing Sect and Shangqing Sect, solicit opinions from the other party, and listen to the other party's suggestions.

In addition, everyone has another task, which is to take the opportunity to investigate the whereabouts of Sui Hongchang, a thief of Caihuashi. The Taoist of this sect was killed from the foot of the mountain. This matter was related to the majesty and face of Taiqing Sect. The murderer must be found and severely punished.

As for the candidates, they were not dispatched at will, but each had their own duties, including one in the Collection Hall and one in the Music Hall. These two were mainly responsible for communicating with fellow Taoists of other sects on the Dharma Assembly. The remaining one was the head of Zhongwei Hall and Xiahe Hall. They walked with them, mainly focusing on pursuing the murderer.

Tiangangzi was the head of Xiahe Palace. He should have gone to Shangqing Sect, but his son was about to get married and could not leave, so he sent Tianchengzi.

The business work lasted for half a year. The reason why I left so early was because I had to delay the road for a long time. When I went to the field, I had to discuss the details of trivial matters with the other party. After that, I had to return and leave time to arrange preparations after I came back.

After listening to Ling Xizi's words, Nan Feng secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He was too nervous. If something really happened, Tiandezi and Tianchengzi would not not give him hints.

After breakfast, I continued to listen to the sutras and class. Common scriptures mostly talk about self-cultivation and morality, compassion and kindness. When preaching, the gentleman often gave examples to explain his own opinions. Others listened to them with relish and turned a deaf ear. He was most annoyed by this kind of high-sounding preaching. No two people in the world are exactly the same. The living environment, the influence of their parents, and the things they experienced will have a subtle influence on a person. Everyone has their own particularity. These statements of virtue and compassion seem profound and exquisite, but are actually empty and useless, and are not applicable to everyone.

Furthermore, these ordinary scriptures have put forward many requirements for Taoists and lay Buddhists, including regulations on morality, character, etiquette, regulations, and even eating and sleeping. There are too many red tape and too many rules and regulations, which is also the reason why Nanfeng hates it. I don’t know how these old masters who act as masters understand the scriptures. They are too reserved. If everyone follows what they teach, they don’t have to do anything else all day long, just thinking about how to abide by the rules.

After each scripture is finished, there will be an assessment as usual. The title of this time is "How can one be a person in the world be upright and moral?" To put it bluntly, it is how to be a human being.

Nanfeng’s answer is “Tao is divided into yin and yang, and people are the same. Loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and righteousness are the yang, the main thing is. Eating, drinking, playing and having fun are the yin, and the auxiliary thing is the loyalty. Loyalty, filial piety, benevolence and righteousness are indispensable. If you lack it, you have no roots. Eating, drinking and having fun are the yang, and your life is boring."

However, what Nanfeng wrote on the scroll was another set of discussions, such as cultivating oneself, managing the family, governing the country and pacifying the world, and saving all living beings before others. When writing, Nanfeng felt that it was fake, but there was no way. The teacher was not the straightforward Tianqizi or Mingrui's Tianyuanzi, but this pedantic old master. If he wrote his true thoughts, he would wait to get C.

During this period, Nanfeng would go to Tianqizi's house every two days. This afternoon, he slipped over again. When he looked closely, the ponytail on the door was broken.

The ponytail broke, which means someone had entered the house, but the lock was hanging at this time. After thinking about it, Nanfeng poked a small hole in the window paper and peeked into the room. There was an open bag on the wooden bed in the room. There were several middle clothes and shoes in the bag, and a green robe was placed on the head of the bed.

He had been worried about the safety of Ancestor, but now he was finally relieved. The situation in the room showed that Ancestor had come back to change his clothes.

Half a month has passed since Ling Yanzi came to thank him. Ling Yanzi has not come to him again during this period, and Nan Feng has never visited Ling Yanzi. It’s not that he doesn’t want to go, but that he can’t find a suitable excuse.

In addition, he had secretly inquired about Ling Yanzi's origin, but no one knew about it. Some of them were well-informed and knew that she was a royal relative, but they did not know the details.

Although Nanfeng misses him a little, he is not that kind of miss that is uncontrollable. If you have a lot of time in the future, don’t worry, take your time.

The winter in the south is not as cold as in the north, but the south wind is extremely hard. Although the weather is cold in the north, people in the north will burn kangs, stoves, and braziers in winter. But there is no such thing in the south at all, just hold on. It’s okay to say during the day, but it will take a long time to sleep in the warm bed after going to bed.

Although life is calm, it is not boring. On the contrary, Nanfeng has been living a lot. He spends most of his daily life comprehending scriptures. At this time, he is no longer limited to comprehending the Cave God's True Sutra, but takes the Cave God's True Sutra as the starting point and strives to explore upwards, and will occasionally have new discoveries and gains.

This is a very difficult feeling and process. When he first came into contact with the Nine True Sutras, he did not feel that these Nine True Sutras were different from the scriptures that monks and Taoists usually recited. But under Tian Yuanzi's reminder, he deliberately searched and analyzed, and found that there were martial arts and magic hidden in these Nine True Sutras. But now he has a new understanding of these Nine True Sutras. In fact, what is hidden in these Nine True Sutras is not martial arts and magic, but the mysterious principles of Yin and Yang. If he wanted to obtain martial arts and magic, he saw martial arts and magic from the Nine True Sutras. If he had the intention to learn cooking skills from the Nine True Sutras, he would probably become a good chef.

Yin and Yang are the essence of Taoism and the essence of the nine true scriptures. The scriptures do not record specific martial arts moves, but Nan Feng has already seen the path of the sect and is a little familiar with Yin and Yang. As the saying goes, grace is to persuade and influence, and to be yang. Power is to attack and punish, and to be yin.

Whether it is martial arts or magic, they are all means to attack others. Once you decide to take action, you will aim to hurt the other party as much as possible. If you can kill, don’t get disabled. If you can get disabled, don’t get injured. If you can get injured, don’t get hurt. The essence of martial arts is violence. If you decide to use violence, you cannot show mercy, otherwise it will be chaotic and pretentious.

No matter what you do, you need to follow a principle. Once you take action, you will fight to the death. This is the principle set by Nanfeng for himself.

With principles, specific methods are needed. In fact, martial arts tricks are the same as those in the scriptures that the old master said, and they are all redundant things. There is no need to follow them. The function of martial arts is to attack others. Since it is an attack, then attack with all your strength, without having to worry about whether the moves are in place, or even defense is not required.

Give up moves and defense, you can increase the speed as fast as possible, but the disadvantage is that you also need to bear greater risks. Tian Yuanzi once said that everything has pros and cons, and you also have to bear consequences if you get the benefits. After weighing the trade-offs, Nanfeng feels that this offensive method is generally more pros and cons. Since the pros and cons are more pros and cons, you can do it.

With principles and methods of not following the rules, the final need is spiritual energy. Spiritual energy can strengthen the offensive power and increase the attack speed. In other words, if the spiritual energy is insufficient, the attack will have no power and the speed will be very slow.

After walking around, I finally returned to the starting point. I had to meditate and practice Qi honestly. Practicing Qi and breathing is a slow skill, and it is useless to be impatient.

One evening, Ling Yanzi knocked on the door again and gave Nanfeng two snacks. Nanfeng kept her talking, but Ling Yanzi did not refuse. She drank tea and chatted with Nanfeng in her room until the third day before leaving. Nanfeng deliberately avoided her life experience and never mentioned it. Nanfeng did not ask, and Ling Yanzi did not say anything.

The next day, Nanfeng ran off class and went up to the town. He received Ling Yanzi's snacks and had to buy some gifts for him.

After walking around the town for a while, I couldn't find anything I like, Nanfeng decided to continue going east and go to Wanling County.

Not long after traveling east, Nanfeng found an old beggar sitting by the road. The old beggar was burning some food while making fire beside the road. After a glance, the beggar held in his hand and the thing used to activate the fire attracted his attention.

The thing is about two feet long and white. Looking closely, there is a hole on it, which is a white jade flute.

When Nan Feng saw the white flute, he immediately thought of the flower-picking thief. The man was holding such a white flute in his hand.

With doubts in his heart, Nanfeng leaned over and bowed to the old beggar as a courtesy, "Wuliang Tianzun, good man, please."

The old beggar looked up when he heard the sound and grinned at him.

"Good man, can you lend me a look at the jade flute in your hand?" Nan Feng spoke out.

The old beggar didn't speak, just laughed.
