305. Big Austrian BBQ (2)

As the evening approached, cars started to drive to the camp one after another, including pickup trucks, cars, SVs and off-road vehicles, all of them Rose's police colleagues.

The aunt policeman Alison came first, and she also brought a large plate of hot baked pizza.

Li Du and her had met her. They had experienced gunfights together. Both sides felt good about each other. When they saw her visiting, they brought small gifts. Li Du felt better about her.

Rose introduced: "Alison's minced beef pizza tastes great. This is our colleague's favorite food. If there is a party, her pizza will always be the protagonist."

Li Du smiled and said, "It's great. The food I prepared today is missing a protagonist."

Alison waved his hand generously and smiled, "Haha, Li, don't be polite to me, but I know you have a good cooking skills, and Rose will praise you every day."

Li Du looked at Rose in surprise, and Rose said, "Your cooking skills are really good. I didn't praise you, I just told my partner the truth."

“How about having a partner?”

Rose smiled sincerely and said, "It's very good."

Others arrived one after another, and the second person who came surprised Li Du. He was the director of Rose and the police station. They met when they arrested criminals in a rainy day.

"This is our boss, Officer Sister Hood, this is my roommate, my friend, Du Li." Rose recommended to both parties.

Li Du said: "Call me Li, Officer Hood, welcome your arrival. Unexpectedly, Rose invited such a VIP, which made us shine."

Officer Hood always likes to frown and act seriously, perhaps because of his professional habits.

However, in the face of Li Du's praise, he showed a stiff smile: "Hello, Li, I'm glad to meet again. You helped us a lot last time, and I haven't thanked you yet."

"That's Officer Rose's credit."

Hood nodded and said, "Yes, Officer Rose is doing a great job now. She and Alison are the best female police partners in Flagpole."

Fifteen or sixteen policemen came intermittently, including an acquaintance Li Du knew, named Capote, who had troubled them after they got mammoth ivory.

When Capote came, he also brought a gift, a dozen German stout beer.

He and Rose and Alison got along well. After meeting, the three of them started joking together. When they saw Li Du, they looked a little uncomfortable. Both sides nodded and said hello.

Rose said strangely: "You and Capote don't seem to deal with each other?"

"Where are you?" Li Du asked back.

Rose shrugged, "We have a good relationship, and he has given me and Alison a lot of support at work."

"When did it start? Do you still have an impression?"

Rose thought for a while and said, "It was probably since he grabbed you into the police station because of his mammoth ivory, and for some reason, he began to show kindness to me."

Li Du laughed. He knew the reason. Because he had grasped Capote's handle, this guy dared not offend him or Rose.

As Alison arrived, Li Du put on the table with iced watermelons, mangoes, apples, pineapples, black lemons, kiwis and other fruits.

When everyone arrived, he removed the fruit and replaced it with snacks and appetizers, and the prepared staple food began to be served on the table in a steady stream.

Da Ao has a good cooking skills, especially in barbecue. He is very knowledgeable about grilling venison and roast rabbit meat. He uses the grilling pit mode to make barbecue.

This barbecue method may be the oldest open flame barbecue process. After Dao arrived at the camp in the morning, he dug a shallow pit on the land, then put wood and coal in it and started burning it.

When the burning was almost done, he put out the open flame and dug out the coke and buried all kinds of meat and vegetables.

Among them, these things are wrapped layer by layer with banana leaves and wide leaves, with the purpose of stewing them, a bit like the roasted sweet potatoes from Li Du’s hometown.

Dao also made a special barbecue. There were many cactus in the wild in Arizona. He picked some fat cactus, hollowed it out and stuffed it into it with a blended meat filling.

Finally, the cactus was sealed and put into charcoal to stew. This was a barbecue method that Li Du had never seen before. The police who came to the party did not see it much.

The food started to be served, and the Great O arranged for Godzilla to make other barbecues on the oven, and he took out the meat and vegetables that had been buried for the afternoon.

Some policemen squatted by the fire pit in curiosity and watched, while discussing:

"This is a grill pit, North Carolina, Texas often do this."

"No, Chris, different. That kind of kaoke is smoked and roasted. Look, this guy is braised and roasted, it's very different."

"Is this the case with Hawaiian barbecue? I've seen them do this, and the meat and fat inside will not be missed at all, and the taste is too fragrant."

"Wow, this is Mexican barbecue. Look, the grilled cactus has come out, but this cactus looks really ugly."

Da Ao smiled and took out a sharp knife. Alison, who was chatting with Li Du, subconsciously stood up and looked at Da Ao with a nervous look.

Li Du asked, "What's wrong?"

Alison chuckled, "Oh, it's okay, my occupational disease, your guy, to be honest, his appearance is a bit too misunderstood."

Director Hood put on a serious face and said, "OQuinn Alonzo, this guy's appearance is indeed very challenging, but he is a good person who abides by the law."

A policeman next to him laughed and said, "Alison, don't you know him? This guy is also a big and small celebrity in Flagpole City."

Alison shook his head and said, "I am not familiar with it, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing. His appearance and body shape are too fierce. When he first moved to Flagstaff City, citizens kept calling the police and saying that gangs from other places had entered Flagstaff City, haha."

"There is another guy who ran into him cleaning up garbage while walking at night. He was so scared that he called the police and said he was threatened..."

Director Hood took a sip of beer and looked at Li Du and said, "Your two subordinates are not ordinary."

Li Du smiled and said, "Yes, you know, the director, it is not easy for me, a Chinese, to do business in the United States. With such a subordinate, my work can be easier."

"If you go to another place, if you have such subordinates accompanying you, more citizens will probably call the police and say that if you encounter a gangster in another place, you may be regarded as the leader of the gang." Louis smiled.

Li Du said: "It's okay, we carry the tax payment records with us."

Da Ao cut the scorched cactus with a sharp knife, and then a piece of stewed meat paste fell down with heat. He sprinkled seasoning powder and chili powder on it, which was fragrant!

In addition to the grilling pit, Da Ao also operates several other types of barbecue. Although they all use ordinary ovens, the steps are complicated, the seasonings are diverse, and the final product is also extremely delicious.
